BBX is basically a complete waste of time and money. It's a currency you can accumulate but never spend and the ongoing fees mean you are caught in a trap of just constantly going backwards. Please, if you are running a business and are approached by anyone from BBX please just say no and contiune to operate in the fiat money world.

Absolutely useless!

Please take the time to read this, it will be worthwhile...

We were convinced originally to sign up at a cost of approximately £800, with a guarantee that we have our money back if they don’t deliver at least that in additional business. Over a year they delivered just over the £800, despite target promises of £2000 per month!

After such a useless first year, and after finding that every attempted BBX purchase was a dead end (everyone that we approached did not want anymore BBX, as they also couldn’t spend it) we decided not to renew our membership.

The Operations Director convinced us to renew FOC, with more promises of change, promises of more promotions of our business, we reluctantly agreed, and undertook three further jobs... this equated to a further 1500 BBX. We undertook the surveys (one of them being the Operations Directors proposed new home) knowing we needed purchases for our new office.

Every attempt to make a purchase has again resulted in a useless result... one guy saying he wants cash, another too busy to help... and others not responding to communication. I guess they also do not want anymore BBX, as they can’t spend it.

In short, it has proved to be a complete waste of time, so please don’t proceed based on their false promises, when they know how useless it is.

Update based on the BBX reply:

Twisted truth if I ever heard it... for one, most of the purchases were meals in two different pubs, as there was nothing else that we needed available....

You forgot to mention all of the other requests that you could not fulfil such as car brakes, because the supplier had too many BBX and didn’t want more! .... or the Wareham taxi who also didn’t want anymore... and many others the same!...

You waived the renewal fee, as that was the only way you could convince us to give it another go, please be honest if you are going to respond, don’t twist the truth to make it look more favourable....

If preferred I can list all of the BBX failures on here to give a true picture, and every transaction we have made so that everyone can see exactly what we have purchased...

Please advise ....

Very quick to take your money after forcing a sale down your throat after saying no multiple times - but as soon as you decide to say no as a final after the sales call, they dodge all emails asking for a refund which they apparently 'guarantee'.

I met one of their sales people at a networking event who sold it very differently in person, making it seem like he was going to outsource my business work. Once on the call for a meeting, it turned quickly into a sales pitch. That's fine. But when I said multiple times how it does not fit my business and I am not comfortable with it, the sales person couldn't take no for an answer. I understand sales techniques and anticipating no's but this bordered on forced to a point I just said yes to get off the call. I immediate did some due diligence to see that many people don't recommend BBX.

I was under the impression from them that they would charge me after I had signed the contract. I had not signed the contract and inquired about a refund, which they apparently guarantee, especially given I had not signed the agreement.

I've sent multiple emails to the two people I was speaking to the last months and not a single reply - forcing me to post here.

Fairly happy with BBX. Accumulating a lot of credit but able to spend it on a fabulous holiday in Fiji, getting my lawns mowed, dining out at restaurants etc.

Have a lot of BBX dollars to use and not enough help to spend them

My account manager has been able to help me connect with the correct fix with legal issues. Can’t thank Allyson enough.

I find it difficult to spend money on BBX. Items that I am interested in are usually grossly overpriced. Many items I can buy for up to half the price without using BBX.

Great service experienced business people.

Local representative very helpful but not enough local members to spend trade $$. Promise of a BDM to grow area over 6 months ago.

Difficulty spending trade dollars on Gold Coast.

Have used BBX a number of times over the last 20 years.
Today, with my new business, i would not have been able to survive the first 12 months without having BBX there to help me grow.
