BBB QUASHING COMPLAINTS AGAINST EBAY…

BBB QUASHING COMPLAINTS AGAINST EBAY AND OTHER SUPER CORPORATIONS, BY STRIPING CONSUMERS OF MAKING MORE THAN ONE COMPLAINT. TOTALLY UNREASONABLE, AS A CONSUMER WILL HAVE MULTIPLE INTERACTIONS WITH A MAJOR CORP.

Don't trust reviews from the BBB

It's really sad that the BBB has just become another BS company that can be paid for fake reviews! I was having a major issue with veritas global protection extended automobile warranty company (who has a horrible reputation everywhere except on BBB) and tried to post a review on BBB and every single time I went to post it I got an error message but when I tried to post a review on any other company it went through with no problem.

No longer trustworthy or relevent.

What was once useful has turned into a pay-to-play business that sells good ratings in exchange for cash.
Even the most despicable conpanies can get glowing reviews and an increased rating simply by paying the BBB for them.
The BBB is no longer relevent. Using it is a waste of time and may give you an unreliable rating of the comapny you are trying to look up.
I no longer trust or use the BBB.

Bbb.org has FALSELY CLAIMED that we EXPLICITLY asked for additional time.

I'd give the BBB negative stars

I'd give the BBB negative stars if I could! They keep misclassifying my case as a different product and rejecting my perfectly valid complaint, in spite of proof of evidence. They asked me for additional evidence, I submitted it and they ignored it. Then they closed my case and asked for more additional evidence. How am I supposed to submit the additional evidence I have if my case is closed? I tried creating another case with the additional evidence they asked for, but they closed it claiming it's a duplicate, instead of looking at the additional evidence they requested.

What frustrates me the most is that similar complaints from other people were properly evaluated and accepted, so I know my case is valid. I also tried to escalate my case for review, but both the local BBB office and their main office have been ignoring my attempts to get it resolved.

The company I’m complaining about is breaching its own EULA, potentially breaking two laws, and contradicting statements on both their website and the BBB’s website. But despite all this, the BBB doesn’t seem to care enough to evaluate my claim properly or let me submit the evidences. Most of their complaints are closed but remain UNRESOLVED. In spite of all of that, the company has an A+ rating on the BBB's website.

BUSINESS RATING WITH BBB

THE BBB WEBSITE HAS RATINGS THAT IS WRONG FOR COMPANY'S. THEY GET FEES FROM SOME THAT RIP THE PEOPLE OFF AND LET THE COMPANY'S PUT UP UNRESOLVED CASE. I WOULD LIKE FOR THIS TO STOP AND HAVE THE COMPANY'S HOLD ACCOUNTABLE. BBB HAS RATED SOME A A+ BUT SHOULD HAVE BEEN D OR F RATINGS.

It is an absolute waste of time to file…

It is an absolute waste of time to file complaints, or write reviews, on this site. Any company that has a membership with the BBB can have your complaint or review taken down, even if the company has acted egregiously and the complaint is valid. There is zero integrity in this process.

BBB is the defender of bad business.Bad Business Bureau

BBB has become the defender of bad businesses.
I invested a lot of time and effort in a formal BBB complaint, several rounds of responses, and a review of OGS Electric. I had a written contract for electrical work with OGS electric and they did not come close to fulfilling the terms of the contract that OGS wrote. I provided great detail of each deliverable in the contract and OGS failure to deliver. There is NO evidence of that on the BBB website, none.
Supposedly the BBB process on this is now finished, but OGS still has an A- BBB rating and is a member in good standing. Neither my complaint or my review appear on the OGS listing for the BBB site as of 3/7/26. BBB acts as a shield for corrupt businesses. BBB is a black hole for complaints and well-deserved negative reviews of bad businesses. BBB has come to mean Bad Business Bureau--the defender of corrupt businesses that rip off consumers. BBB shows honest and dishonest businesses as equals. I assume the businesses pay BBB.
Don't waste your time with a BBB complaint against a dishonest business. BBB is just a shill, a black hole for complaints. They whitewash fraudsters. Go to a government agency, file small claims court cases or write honest Google and Yelp reviews instead.

Terrible Experience with BBB – Avoid at All Costs

Terrible Experience with BBB – Avoid at All Costs
I had an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional encounter with the Better Business Bureau. A rep cold-called me uninvited, claiming it was fine since I had an account, even after I asked to be put on the do-not-call list. Logging in was a nightmare – my account "didn't exist," my public profile showed no reviews (despite I know I had at least two 5 star reviews and have copies of them), and they issued a laughably insecure temp password like "bbb1234" to everyone. Did not even prompt me to change that password to be secure. It turned out they still have various regional sites which do not talk to each other, which is just tech-backwards incompetence. They've been charging me $60/month for nothing, and my reviews mysteriously vanished. I canceled immediately and never want to deal with them again. Unbelievable! This organization should not even exist, it is basically a scam.

The BBB in Little Rock

The BBB in Little Rock, Arkansas has a bias when it comes to Walmart. I filed a complaint with them and they closed my complaint without making sure that Walmart compensated me with the $15 credit I was supposed to receive because of the delivery fiasco that is Walmart. They close complaints without allowing consumers to voice their displeasure with the solution that a business may provide. They refuse to answer emails and phone calls. I can't tell you how many emails I have sent and they just ignore them. They allow businesses to take as much time to respond even though their own terms state that a business has 14 days to respond. They allow accredited businesses to keep their high rating because they pay to play. If you have a serious complaint I would file a complaint with the FCC, FTC, CFPB, or your state's attorney general because the BBB doesn't care about consumers anymore.

"The Epitome Of Useless!"

BBB rates Amazon on their response, "Time".
The result is an A+ Rating (More than 30% of complaints are unresolved, including mine )
Amazon gave cut and paste responses to my 40lb everything tossed in a box, subscribe & save orders.
My issues were neither read or resolved.
BBB continues to rate them A+.
Now That, is, "The Epitome Of Useless!"

Conflict of Interest as BBB Funded by Business Subscriptions

The BBB is funded by annual subscriptions from businesses, thus their is a major conflict of interest.

I've filed multiple complaints with the BBB of Los Angeles & Silicon Valley against eBay. They are all marked as duplicate and immediately closed, without actually be read at all.

As a 27 year seller on eBay I could easily file 50 different complaints covering 50 different areas of eBay corrupt business practices.

Do not waste your time with BBB.

You can compare the BBB rating to the Good House Keeping rating. A company would get the Good House Keeping rating if they paid a fee to the magazine and advertised in the magazine.

They should have their nonprofit status revoked.

I had a problem getting a refund from a third party passport company that looked like a government contractor… it was not. They asked for a $200 + fee and then you filled out the form finding out there was another $ 230 fee. When I downloaded the form to review it I cancelled the process. I was told I did not get a refund because I downloaded the form. The BBB got me a refund in a few days!!!!

BBB took down my review

I had a very poor experience with a software development company. I worked with them for > 1yr and eventually had to restart with a different company. I wrote them a review on BBB. The review was an objective representation of my experience. The software development company’s owner responded to the review saying that it should be taken down because it was a personal attack on the business owner. The review was taken down.
