I had both bayada home health & then hospice in the philadelphia area. I found them be very attentive very caring a few of who were exceptional. They showed my hubby care & even went above to make his 81st & final birthday wonderful! So 90% positive experience some issues about short staffing that im sure lately is issue everywhere! And very sad to say though disappointed at the final days .. after constant reassurance while my partner was alive …that they would also be there for me after his passing as he worried sooo much but for most part like the saying .. it goes on & i was hurt feeling back to reality its a “job” i did not up to now 3 weeks much in way of emotional & help w/ questions, & death issues thought would be present esp. a terribly hard few weeks! Nurses were great .. but special thanks the most caring element of all the - personal care assistant my total thanks for their help & comfort & pep talks that kept his fluctuating moods positive.. it did not end how i imagined nothing does ..that id comfort him be right by his side & not be alone. But they cared & did their best… yes i would do it again using their service
These people are total crooks. Their specialists barely do anything and whenever they aren't reading off a paper generic exercises, they seem to just make stuff up when asked. I wouldn't be surprised if their team actually lacked credentials and this entire company was a fraud. They come for like 15 minutes, do a few things, then leave. There is no "care" involved. We even caught one of them stealing stuff from my dad.
My deepest regret is that I never checked online reviews before signing with them because had I seen them beforehand, I would not have gone with them. The negative reviews are absolutely right. AVOID!!!!
Bayada is on the authorized personal care services list as identified by Medicaid. Bayada fails to provide services on the scheduled days for my elderly, handicapped brother on a regular basis. Several complaints have been filed with Bayada corporate office, North Carolina hotline, and the problem continues. The escalation process in NC is in-effective, as I have repeatedly complained in last 12 months, and the problem continues. Leaving an elderly handicapped person to fend for themselves is elder neglect according to the law.
