Website and payment receipt needs some attention but overall not bad

Having read the other reviews (unfortunately after ordering) I must admit I was quite concerned. The only receipt I had was the paypal payment confirmation email from Cathy as mentioned in other reviews. I had also paid without creating a paypal account which can make things difficult if there is a dispute. After a week I emailed 'Cathy' not expecting to get a response, however within a few hours I had a pleasant reply with a link to a parcel tracking site.

The site was generic rather than being linked to a specific carrier which also didn't fill me with confidence, however I was able to find a link to a UK carriers site after a little perseverance which confirmed my items had arrived in the UK from Hong Kong and were in transit to me. The goods arrived the next day.My new laptop screen and ribbon were correct and work perfectly.

In conclusion, while under scrutiny their site and order process don't inspire confidence, I did have a successful transaction with this company and was very happy with the results.

STAY AWAY! zhang yancai IS A FRAUD!

On May 15, 2013 I ordered a battery and a screen cable for my laptop and payed 78.80 euros. After having received nothing I contacted him via e-mail and reported the problem. He said that he will ask the carrier where the shipment is. The carrier was "checking" for over three months and finally failed to find the shipment. I told him that it is not my fault if the package is lost and I asked him to either send me new products or give me my money back. He agreed to make a new shipment but then he asked me to pay more saying "it has taken so long time so you need to pay for shipping". I told him it is not my fault that it took the carrien three months to check and that they wheren't answering my mails. I told him that I am not willing to pay more and I asked for a full refund. It is now February of 2014. The last month I sent him nine mails and he is not answering. He stole my money and now he is being rude. He is not a seller he is a thief! If you google his name you will find out. STAY AWAY!

Stay away!

Overall, this has been a very poor experience. I recommend not doing business with batterycentury.com

I ordered a CPU fan for my ThinkPad T500, to replace the OEM fan which was beginning to make noises.
I paid w/ PayPal on Oct 21, 2012.
The payment cleared from my bank account on Oct 22, 2012.
After the usual PayPal confirmation email, I did not receive any further information.
I emailed them on Nov 2, 2012 and asked for status.
I was given an USPS tracking number, which showed the package having been shipped on Oct 24, 2012!
The package finally arrived on Nov 7 (15 days in transit from HK!).
habanero Thu Nov 8 22:42:19 CST 2012
I installed it: on power up, I got a "fan error" message and the laptop would then power down.
(When I put the old fan back in, the laptop works again.)

I decided against trying to get a refund as it'd probably be more trouble than it's worth.
Lesson learned: trying to save $10 on a $50 part turned out to be not a saving at all!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

SCAM - RIP OFF - STAY A WAY from BatteryCentury.com

This Chinese company stole my money via PayPal. I ordered a replacement cooling fan for a Toshiba laptop. Total cost was $44.98 ($39.99 plus $4.99 shipping). After waiting almost 3 weeks, the wrong part finally arrived. I then began the difficult process of fighting for a refund. They required I send photographs of the old and new parts to determine there was a problem. After they conceded there was a problem, I was given instructions to ship the part back to China via the US Post Office at my expense.

More than 4 weeks passed without receiving an acknowledgment. I had to repeatedly contact “Amber/Cathy” for information. The poorly written and grammatically incorrect responses were difficult to understand, however, it was clear they were not going to refund the full amount of my purchase. They wanted to reduce my refund by $12 shipping and a 15% restocking fee. This is an unreasonable request, since I paid the shipping both ways and they shipped the wrong part.

After many back and forth emails, and many days later, I finally received a partial refund of $25.24 via PayPal. I now have to work with PayPal to get the rest of my money.

Do yourself a favor and do not buy from BatteryCentury.com

STAY AWAY FROM BATTERYCENTURY

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS !!!!
They set me the wrong part. The part was falsely represented on their web site. I paid $25 extra for expedited shipping (3-5 days) and it took over 2 weeks to arrive. I got an RMA to return the misrepresented part and months later, after contacting them repeatedly, then they advice me that they will charge me $12 for shipping AND a %15 restocking fee. How can they do this? I already paid for shipping both ways AND they sent a different part than I ordered.
I have been waiting for the refund for over 6 months now and still have not received one, only emails explaining what they will charge me for sending a partial refund.

Worried Sick

Placed order over 3 weeks ago....nothing yet. I have a pay pal generated receipt that is all. I hate to say it, but, I have a very bad feeling about this transaction. I will give them three more days for my order to be completed. If not, let paypal eat this one, I'm not.

I was ripped off big time

Ordered an inverter almost 3 wks ago and I havent received it yet. I tried contacting the company via emails and phone calls but was not successful. I have a claim pending against them right now. Buyers please beware of this company, they will scam you and you will not be able to get anyone to assist you and on top of that...you are out of your MONEY. The phone number listed on their website goes to voicemail 24-7! A Cathy sent me an email a wk ago regarding my payment being received via paypal, I have contacted paypal regarding this and ask for a full refund of my money. How can paypal be involved in unscrupulous fraudulent scams like this is beyond me. Guys there is NO CATHY...that's just a ploy to get your money!! Stay away from these thieves! I wish I can find someone live there to sue the pants off them. I am going to take my claim to the limit because it has caused me so much stress it's not funny. Low down dirty theives they are!

still waiting, ordered over a month ago

I am still waiting for my order that was placed 12/4/10 with a delivery time of 5-8 days. Copmany has never sent me any notifications about my order. I have received replies (many days later) to 2 emails I sent in questioning the status, but they included no definitive info on a date I would receive my order, or why it has not shipped. The numberlisted on their site goes to a voicemail that does not identify the company. Have a feeling I will never receive this, and will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Would never order from this site again, and advise others to steer clear.

Ordered, paid, no product, no shipping id, no customer service

I placed an order on 12/21, paid extra for 3-5 business day shipping. (I live in the Continental US.)

It has not arrived. There is no shipping ID, and no communication regarding the order. Multiple customer service contacts go un-responded. All phone contact goes to a standard 'number' greeting on voicemail. Emails to 'support@batterycentury.com' are returned invalid.

All I have is an Order ID and a credit card expense.
We are at 2 weeks waiting so far.
