Is this a scam? Beware.

Is this a scam? I paid $17 for…..I don’t even know what. The app is unusable. Makes no sense. When I tried to get a refund they said I had to submit a copy of the receipt. By the time it cleared my card & I could get a copy the link to submit the receipt was gone. They sent me a follow-up email but I don’t think the links are real. Please beware

All reviews are true

All reviews are true. Trick is as I do to avoid all scammers, I used AppleCash to pay the $1. Then I reported the charge once I realized it was a scam. I played the cancel subscription game for a few but they know what they’re doing. So I just requested a new card number for my AppleCash which occurs immediately! Lost the battle ($1) but not the WAR! Stay safe.

Do not go near this app or website.

If you're needing mental health help, this is not the app for you as it will only cause you stress not being able to cancel your subscription and having money taken from your account. They have said they have cancelled my subscription but can't refund me due to their terms and conditions. No legit company makes it this hard to cancel a subscription. I'm worried they're going to charge me again. I need that money to put food on the table for my kids.

I wish I'd read the reviews before clicking on the ad

I downloaded this app (Breeze), completed some quizzes, decided it wasn't for me, so, within minutes, I cancelled my subscription (or so I thought) and deleted the app. A week later a payment was attempted - thankfully from an account that I can ring-fence funds in so there was insufficient balance outside my "spaces" for an unexpected payment. They did, however, on the day I signed up, take £0.79, which I assumed at the time was a test payment and would be refunded, so this was my "free" trail, which in my case lasted less than an hour. Whilst this is a small amount to me, I resent being charged unexpectedly and also see how these small charges, that aren't worth disputing, would soon build up if thousands of people downloaded the app. And so this is a sneaky way of making extra money - let's name it, as other reviewers have - it's a scam. It is particularly alarming that these underhand methods are the practices of a so-called mental health app, many users of which are potentially vulnerable and possibly not in a position or state of mental health that has the resources to keep an eye on bank transactions as much as they would like. I feel let down, my trust has been abused and, whilst the app's services were not for me, I might have said they might suit others. But instead I have to advise caution - do not download the app unless you have seen it somewhere else and know for sure it is what you want. Also, ensure you are clear about how you will end your subscription when that time comes. But I would also question why anyone would want mental health advice and support from a company that abuses the financial details of users which it asks for, in my opinion, much too soon.

But having read the reviews here on Trustpilot, it is clear there is no value in this company for anyone but themselves. For the record, I found the number of different quizzes on offer completely overwhelming, and when I saw my reports (in the app - there is not one email from Breeze, only the complaint I initiated and their inadequate reply) they were contradictory and had not assessed me well.

I wish I would have seen all these…

I wish I would have seen all these reviews before I even thought about clicking on Breeze/Basenji apps. I'm now stuck trying to get my money back because the email they send with "instructions" is bologne. They know they haven't given you the information you'll need to cancel and get a refund easily and think you'll get tired of trying to get your money back. AVOID!!!

These apps are a total scam

These apps are a total scam. They charge you even if you cancel, and they make it impossible to log into your online account to cancel, because your online account does not actually exist. The send you in a circle with different cancellation steps that can't actually be completed, and will keep billing you $20 freaking dollars unless you either cancel the credit card you used to sign up, or commit enough energy to raising holy hell with them.

I find it so absolutely revolting that people like this are preying on people suffering mental health issues. How absolutely vile.

basenji apps & Breeze Wellness are very…

basenji apps & Breeze Wellness are very tricky scammers. They set it up so you cannot unsubscribe from their free trial in time to not be charged the full amount. They bury how to unsubscribe and it turns out you have to email them to request to unsubscribe and get a refund—and they don’t respond back quickly at all. It feels like a really harmful scam to do this advertising (pretending) to provide mental health support. Scams like this should really be found and put out of business.

Will Steal Your Money

Linked by ad for quiz, forced to pay $1 for results, then never got any results. Immediately deleted app and checked in app and in play store to ensure there was not going to be additional charges, which appeared not. 2 weeks later was charged $30 USD (or for me $39 CAD) and customer service refused refund due to their "no refund policy"

Negative experience with Basenji Premium purchase

I want to share my experience with the Breeze. I came across its ad on Instagram and decided to purchase a one-week trial subscription via Apple Pay. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any email instructions on how to access the premium features. When I downloaded the app, the premium version wasn’t accessible. Despite not being able to use the app, I was charged $29.99 after a week. I immediately requested a refund, but Anastasia informed me that they would not refund my payment. This experience feels like a scam and theft.

Harmful

The app for recovering repressed trauma memories is misleading at best and potentially harmful to people. No app can recover memories for someone.

I regretfully clicked on this ad and now am stuck!

I regretfully clicked on this ad and of course it required a $1 payment to get information from a ridiculous quiz I took. Human nature ugh I paid and now I'm stuck paying $19.99 a month and unable to cancel. There's literally no information for how to contact them!!! I am furious!!!

Predatory billing app

I clicked on an ad asking me what I hear and then I filled out a questionnaire to determine if I have childhood trauma that I’m not recognizing. It seemed fascinating so I filled it out. Now it’s time to publish your results and of course you have to pay. It was only a dollar so I figured why not and I immediately canceled before they would auto bill me or renew my membership. Fast forward two months later and despite canceling within the trial they are billing me $20 a month. I filed a dispute with PayPal and PayPal is asking me to provide their billing agreement because they apparently can’t or won’t do it. There are several reviews on the App Store of people complaining with similar issues. This app is based in Poland and it’s very difficult to apply our laws and receive refunds from this company. Don’t fall for your curiosity and pay them anything once they have your billing info they are unlikely to stop repeatedly billing you even though you’ve canceled. This app is supposedly for your mental well-being and self discovery however they will cause you stress and difficulty.
