It's a scam, forget about Base44, please don't do what I did. I persisted, I'm Elite 3 and I got caught red-handed modifying the code 🤣, but also your AI is buggy, your employees manipulate user data... See more

What a rip off. Stay well clear of this app. Certainly not worth the money.

Tried it and it doesn't seem to work properly.

I have blocked this add probably a hundred times by now. An app simply does not need this much relentless, unwelcome advertising if it wasn't good enough to get more users mouth to mouth. If it can only get users throuh advertisements then it's a clear sign that it's no good.

Basic page building in an app was riddled with issues. It was circular in its epiphanies and attempts to resolve the bugs. As it did, the app became more and more buggy. The death spiral was real. Icing on the cake... No refunds, no money back "its in our user agreement"
Great app, only not fun that if you change your app too many days the webstite will say: out of monthly credits, maybe make the monthly availble credits for a longer time?
Easy to use, I’m very proud of what I made on the app, ok the ai doesn’t do everything perfectly but I made my website with it, it linked to stripe and even blogs to sites for me, it’s great tbh, yes it probably is limiting design wise but for me who doesn’t get on with computers , absolutely amazing
Great platform, great team, great support. I have Accidentally deleted app. They support fast and help to restore. Once again very good service on high level

AI reliability issues: The AI often makes errors, ignores instructions, and breaks existing functionality—requiring repeated credit-consuming fixes.
Credit system is problematic: Credits drain quickly due to errors and debugging, leading to frustration and high costs.
I have been a developer since 1979 so I am no spring chicken. I have managed to build these two apps with a week for both.
lexihotel.com and conciergeflow247.com
So far I am up to a subscriber level of $200 a month which most likely step back next month. The sites needs tweaks but but 95% is complete.
My final thoughts they need a better points structure for the platform otherwise they will never be a unicorn so try to step back the points, I know you know what the issue is boss man, dont let GREED kill this opportunity.
Base44 should showcase my website and give me a years worth of credit. I gave two (2) stars for all the same reasons, I accomplished my apps based on my experience not the AI base44 uses. If they like to colab and show case the apps I will reconsider updated my review until we are all greedy in one way or another and that what makes the world go around but compromising is the best solution for optimum outcome. You give a little and I give a little.
Awful, miserable experience.
AVOID UNTIL THE PLATFORM WORKS
Currently WE are the Developers.
Got a basic design that wasn't too bad after a lot of prompts.
Some instructions worked, some did not. ALL COST MONEY
Checked the https and www versions all showed up so off to bed.
Next day tried and www versions all showing dead pages.
Ai keeps spitting out numerous “fixes” that didn't work including a fix that took down ALL sites.
On all platforms.
After an hour where we returned to the non www version being live again
But if visitors added www then they got error messages.
Frustration ain't the word.
So post WIX:
Terrible customer service long delays same incorrect solution sent back and forth.
AND VERY EXPENSIVE
The selling point with things like Ai:
Quicker build times
Cheaper
My estimate is a full blown site would be:
Three to Six months build for moderate site or app
£15,000 in prompts and endless errors
Literally this Ai could make you mentally ill with the endless errors
If you have six months and £15K then go ahead
YOU are building their Ai not them

1 Star – Completely Broken and a Waste of Credits
This is by far the worst app I have ever used. It charged 250 credits just to try to make a single button work, and even after spending those credits, the button still didn’t work at all. Instead of fixing anything, other parts of the app started breaking as well.
I may be new to coding, but it doesn’t take an expert to see how badly designed and unreliable this app is. Charging users credits for features that don’t function is extremely frustrating and feels like a complete waste of money and time.
I strongly do not recommend this app to anyone until the developers fix these serious issues.

Base44 offers an interesting concept and can be useful in certain situations, particularly for individuals who are new to coding or want to experiment with building applications quickly. However, after spending significant time using the platform, my experience has been mixed.
If you are completely new to coding, you should expect to use a large number of credits while learning how the system works. In my experience, Base44 often produces errors that require multiple attempts to resolve. Many times when asking the system to fix a problem, it will respond with something along the lines of “I’ve found the issue and fixed it,” only for the problem to remain unresolved. Situations like this occurred frequently, and it can lead to repeatedly using credits to troubleshoot the same issue.
Errors also appear fairly often, and occasionally the platform enters an error loop where you repeatedly press the “fix error” button while waiting for the system to resolve the problem. While error fixes do not always cost credits, the process can still be frustrating and time-consuming.
Regarding pricing tiers, the $50 Builder plan is likely the most practical option for most users. It works reasonably well for building simpler websites or applications with limited complexity. If you plan to build something more advanced or feature-rich, the $100 plan may be necessary. In contrast, the $20 plan feels limited because it only provides access to roughly a third of the available features.
The platform does allow users to create unlimited apps and even write code directly within the application, which is a useful feature. However, experienced developers who are comfortable coding independently may find less value in relying on the platform.
Another issue is that visual results do not always match the prompts provided. Even when giving detailed instructions, the final output can sometimes look different from what was requested or appear visually unpolished. Because of this, prompts often need to be extremely specific to reduce mistakes.
In terms of support, the “Pro” and “Elite” tiers do not necessarily provide a significant advantage. Premium support performs similarly, and response times during my experience were about three days. The higher credit allotment in some plans may seem appealing, but credits can disappear quickly when troubleshooting problems or testing different ideas.
Customer support initially begins with an AI assistant, which can occasionally produce incorrect answers as well. If you need direct assistance, asking to speak with a human representative will connect you to one, although responses may take some time.
Overall, Base44 is not a terrible platform—it has potential and can be useful for simple projects or experimenting with ideas. However, the system still feels somewhat unfinished and would benefit from further refinement. Because of the frequent errors, inconsistent outputs, and credit usage required to troubleshoot issues, it may not consistently meet expectations.
For those interested in trying the platform, starting with the Builder plan and keeping projects relatively simple may lead to the best experience.
I don't where to start, you first get going on the app and its truly amazing how quick and with in seconds you can build stuff. I ended up building 8 apps for my business. I then reached out to the help desk about what plan to choose and they walked me thru the whole process. Customer for Life!!!!
amazing just amazing i do not know why it is a low rating but my base 44 is working perfectly
Their YouTube adverts are going WAY OVER THE TOP and ruining user experience on YouTube channels. There is a HUGE difference between marketing and being annoyingly over-aggressive. Also: JUST because I'm based in Germany DOES NOT mean my mother-tongue is German. If Base44 knew how to match an ad campaign to a user's default language then that one be one thing, but this company can't even get basic adtech correct in their aggressive YouTube strategy. It's a hard NO and Never.

Base44 has enabled me to turn my vision into a reality. I am incredibly thankful for the simplicity and the accuracy that Base44 provides. There has not been a single thing yet that I couldn't get Base44 to do so far and I have spent close to 3000 credits so far.
I hope this doesn't come across as condescending to those having issues with the app, but perhaps because my app is simple, such as written exercises and static images, it has been very easy. In regards to the credits, all I can say is, we need to be strategic in the changes we make and yes, that means, less room for error but also more for mindful changes.
