Absolutely Excellent Customer Service

I ordered a pair of 45's that turned out to be a pre-order. I had waited almost a month without a response so I emailed support for any updates. Michael M. from support was fantastic and instantly answered all my questions. I have purchased from Barbell Standard previously as well without issue, 11/10 highly recommend buying from here.

The weight is solid and I'm stoked to have it. However, one of the weights has not yet shipped. So, I reached out and Michael M. was solid with his service. I appreciate the quick response and the way he handled things.

FedEx lost a pair of plates in my order

FedEx lost a pair of plates in my order (how do you lose a 60 lb package?). When I reached out to Barbell Standard, they immediately sent me a new pair of plates and told me I could keep the others if FedEx finds them. Great customer service.

It looks like your pair of 10’s has been lost by FedEx Jed. I’ll have it reshipped right away.

Unfortunately we’re not notified when something is lost or late so if you don’t contact us we have no way of knowing.

I received damaged plates from an…

I received damaged plates from an online order. When I requested to return them, I was told I could return them to a retail location....200 miles away.

Hi Chris, if you recall in our last conversation you stated to have already sent the weights back to us weeks ago. I told you we'll be more than happy to refund you the full cost as soon as we receive them as there's only a small speck of paint on one of the plates, and we already discounted them 50%. However we've yet to receive them.

Noah, I apologize, FedEx has been very unreliable lately. Usually we have to give them a few weeks to deliver delayed orders but I went ahead and had your order reshipped & it looks like it was marked delivered on the 15th.

Delivery Issue Follow Up

I had a delivery issue with one of my orders on the courier’s side, not Barbell Standard’s. I immediately emailed the team and I got such a quick response regarding a resolution. They were so quick to get me a new shipment and followed through with what they said they would do. The weight plates are quality products. And how can you not love a company that donates proceeds to Ukraine?

I ordered 3 pairs of the 45 lb plates…

I ordered 3 pairs of the 45 lb plates but no updates even when requested the status. Will cancel the order if I don't hear from them in a few days.

Hi Mark. I replied to your email promptly yesterday (Sunday). The subject line was: “ Re: update on order 4742.”

I really apologize about the wait but the 45’s have been out of stock & they’re marked as a pre order. I’d be happy to swap them out for rubber bumper 45’s or a different size if you don’t want to wait, or of course I’d be happy to process a refund.

I just do hope you know I didn’t ignore your email & replied same day right after receiving it Sunday.

Odd delay for half the order

The price and quality are great. My only complaint is that the order came in two different shipments many days apart. Since the shipment was two plates it meant that I had to wait to do an exercise until the second plate arrived.

Good company, poor shipping service

Some of my items came 2-3 weeks past the promised delivery date and the packaging of all my items were poor. The boxes were falling apart by the time they were delivered, which is disappointing considering the high shipping fee and delays. Michael, the customer service rep, was very understanding and did his best to make up for the lackluster job by FedEx. Some examples of FedEx’s poor performance that I experienced include rarely updating their tracking status to the point where it seemed they didn’t know where it was either, frequently mishandling packages, and the numerous “delivery exceptions” that further delayed the delivery of my items. One of my items ended up in Arkansas and another in Arizona somehow despite the shipping origin and destination both being in California. This company has great products and amazing customer service, but the whole experience was soured by the most important part: the shipping and delivery.

I received damaged & defective goods

I received damaged & defective goods - which should be considered factory 2nd. Customer service would not reply or respond to any attempts at communication. The Company should change its name to Discount Weights that do not look like those pictured online.
