No compassion after Bereavement

Informed barclays of a death in June, to recievie a letter at end of June to say any balance needs paying in 3 months, because we were not sure how long probate will be we paid with family money which barclays took out on 2nd Aug. For them to add onto his credit score that he missed payment in July. When questioned they say someone will be in touch. After 4 months someone has still not been in touch and when we ask they say the same response and have informed me there is no complaints department to escalate the issue. Very poor service when people struggle through this hard times

Spent almost 2 hours in their Woking…

Spent almost 2 hours in their Woking branch to prove my ID as there was something wrong when I tried to apply for a switch service from my previous bank. They did everything except take my blood to prove who I am. I had to show them previous bank account statements with other banks, take selfies, everything. Although the one staff member Alyha was very professional, after almost 2 hours of sitting there and doing everything they said I only qualify for their most BASIC account. I have £91,000 in my savings account with my other bank and own 2 properties but apparently that’s just not good enough for bringing my assets over to Barclays and therefore I only qualified for an account they probably give to students or immigrants. Absolute state of this bank. Aweful!!

Previous / old phone number still…

Previous / old phone number still receives Barclay's confirmation / identication requests for my attempts to pay online !... despite removing it from my account to be used by other member of the family on another account, and after Barclay's confirmed the number has been updated. Practically MY PAYMENTS are supposed to be confirmed by a 3rd party :))) . I'd understand Barclay's attitude if they'd declare themselves SCAMs or if they'd be based in China...Russia... I can't have a saving account for the "simple reason" I've joined Barclay's after 2008 , they just don't manage the personal information SAFELY and SECURELY , there is a mock of communication "by default" , blocked perfectly safe transactions due to "high A.I.", and nowadays you can't pay online for a 2nd class stamp without TEXT MESSAGE identication ... while your phone number just dosn't get updated ! And it is a hassle to move the account from Barclays !

No service

As a bank it is assumed you are in the service industry. You expect your customers to be tech savvy, have the use of a smart phone, and also serve themselves when they are in your premises. Your staff stand around policing or heading traffic from one queue to another and GET PAID.
Whilst we ( your customers) have to be digitally consummate, you are unable to keep your information informing of your opening and closing times accurate
If you look on the internet for Lewisham’s opening times, it states 9.30 am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Silly me- only to get there to find out you now shut at 3pm!!!
Are you a part time bank? Your counter service shuts at 2pm and supposedly only deals with business customers.
You would like your customers’ monies but you do not offer any services.
Shockingly non existent service.
It is about time you ensured all your information on the relevant websites is correct. After all you are the digital bank ensuring that your customers are educated so that you do NOTHING

No customer service or trained staff

It's been over six months since I've been trying to recover my money deposited in a Barclays account. I have forwarded all the requested documents 3 times, called thousands of times and the only response I get: "I am sorry" "I understand your concern" "I can't do anything else for you, just wait".

This is a terrible bank

This is a terrible bank. I requested a SAR (Subject Access Request). They supplied this data but also included information about 2 other individuals!
I'm not sure if this was legal. I do not trust them with my data now because they may send it to other people.
I want them to delete all data they have on me but how can I trust them to do this? Barclays staff are incompetent.

Can't express how frustrated I am with this bank.
They are so tech-limited, that you find yourself 3 (!) days without access to the online banking and THEY HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO SOLVE IT THEMSELVES.

Barclays Is Operating Scamming Rings Let Mervelee Myers share my experiences…

Let Mervelee Myers share my experiences as a Barclays customer from the time I arrived in the UK and joined Woolwich. In 2004 I begged the South London Press to publish my story when I was defrauded of my money. I was accused of committing fraud and if I did not have a British Passport they would not act about the incident. Because I am a person who suffers from Chronic Anxiety and needs consistency, familiarity, and consistency to manage and control my life.
Imagine my surprise when Barclays stole my money at the counter and send me home. When I went back to the bank I was locked inside whilst they closed my account. Barclays has since been cyberbullying me sending me threats. But the world will hear about the fact Barclays is operating a scamming ring targeting elderly women who are vulnerable.
