Deceptive and unethical billing practices!
Badoo tricks users with a hidden auto top-up that is activated by default. I never agreed to any recurring payment, yet they automatically charged my card without asking for confirmation. When I contacted support, they refused to refund me — even after I provided full proof of the transaction.
This kind of misleading setup violates EU consumer law, which requires explicit consent for additional payments. I’ve now had to file a chargeback through my Visa bank to get my money back.
Avoid this app — they make it intentionally confusing so you spend money without realizing it, and then hide behind “policy.” Disgusting business practice!
