Weds 27-Went store 12pm. Asked for refund. Guy kept saying would drop to me. I had to repeatedly explain it’s not possible. Back+forth over again, had to beg for refund for him to then say only owner authorise refund+wanted me to come back. I had to ask him to call owner. He then tried. No response. Told owner out country. Told me I would have to go+come back.He ask me leave bank detail as only be refund via transfer+he would try get hold of owner. Said I’d take cash-told no.I ask where dress is, he said it’s not here but in Watford.I ask why. He said with another tailor. I can’t understand how I’m way beyond my rights of a refund but not being given it. And dress not there.On top of that dress was £50 brand new+now unable return original store cus they been playing round with it+altering it incorrectly. I email night before saying need refund so why wasn’t it passed over to manager then and sorted. How is a buisnes to function. Also had to go to store 4 times. £4 bus every time which is £16 spent on travel cus of their mistakes to still not get a dress. Being told I would have to come in for a 5th time to get a refund. No money or dress. The day before event. With no possible way of me getting it.CRAZY. Not even in the same town or completed a day before the event..when it meant to be ready a week prior. On top of this the time I wasted going back+forth, the stress. Walked out 12.20 emotional. Brought to tears+had to compose myself outside the store. Not once had I received any sort of apology. I went back in, left bank details for transfer (unknowing if would even get). Not comfortable even leaving this info. Was told owner ring me in 1-2 hr. 12.30 I left. They had multiple opportunities to tell me they couldn’t do it+be honest. They done it wrong, then changed date multiple times lying pushing date back for it still not to be done. 15.53-Owner rings me over 3 hours later, says it’s in back of his car+he can drop it to me. (Thought he was abroad). I didn’t want them coming to my house so rushed back from LDN to get store 17.20. Tried on dress. Still not fit. It was now exact same way as it had began. They took out extra material they had added wrongly but hadn’t added anything to area I needed material. Asked about what had been done as it was now the way it had began so no amendments. The dress was in its original state I brought it in lol. Owner tried say he done work just below where it needed to make it bigger but A that was never the issue and B it didn’t feel any different from start as if he had made this bigger it would have then been too big as the area he was describing had always fitted. They took out original mess up they had done &tried to act like they had done something more to it. When in fact was same way I had brought it in now. guy was talking a lot to try make me think work had been done. Absolute disgrace. I asked for refund AGAIN. After wasting my time AGAIN. I wouldn’t have come back from London and ruined my day out if I’d have known it wouldn’t fit AGAIN. The owner said bank transfer be done that night and that takes 24-48 hours. I said I want it now to see if it actually goes in my account as believe them to be scam artists. Also transfers are 99% instant unless additional errors/weekend. Was told he can’t do it unless at home as he needs a chip+pin to do it+
it’s off buisness account. I said I would need something in writing to confirm I’m owed a refund. He wrote a pink note. I asked for cash. He said had no cash there? In a working shop during opening hours lol? He promised me it would go in. I said I’ve had about 10 different promises from u and ur colleagues and not one has been true. Owner said this is his buisness and that if there’s a problem come back. I asked about the £50 I had paid for the actual dress which is brand new+is now non refundable because of their mess. wasn’t given an answer other than ‘but the dress can be fixed, it’s a big job but I can see what needs to be done now, we did give you at discounted price, this is £80 job’. Whether dress could be fixed or not was now irrelevant as not ready. dress now of no use to me+can’t even return to original store cus they mucked about with it. little hope after visiting 5 times that it could even be fixed.. by them. The cheek to tell me they gave me discount price even though was quoted 35 and paid 40. They jumped to 80 trying to get quick money. They the cheek after not even doing the job and causing me all the above drama. couldn’t believe what was hearing. excuse was someone off sick. I know problems happen. I don’t believe this after the lies been fed but even if case, they knew that, they knew I was on a timeline for dress. Why at no point was I informed dress wouldn’t be ready in time? could gone elsewhere,not thrown back+forth. I left. Completely deflated. No refund that night. Thur28-Email for update-ignored. Text twice-ignored. £40 Enter my account in afternoon.
