Great company. Friendly interactions at sales point. Smooth deliveries. Very helpful driver moving our slabs out of the way to accommodate our stones.
Quick and seamless service. Glad my husband found this gem. Have used several times and will continue to do so.

I’ve always had a great experience with AWBS. The product quality is superb, and the service and delivery have consistently been excellent. I really can't fault them. They’re also very competitive on price, which makes them my go-to choice every time. Highly recommended!

I ordered 2 Jumbo Bags of sharp Sand and 62 paving Slabs for Delivery at my Home in Oxfordshire, When I gave the order at the Yarnton Branch all seemed fine except they wrote down my mobile phone number wrong! Which meant when they came to deliver everything, I was dealing with something else around the back of my house and didn't know they had come and dropped the order 100 mtrs away from where were we were going to do the patio work !!!
As my partner and I are Both 65 years old, And suffering with Cancer,what was going to be a difficult Job Now will be much Harder due to the placement of the materials !
So I spoke with Andy at AWBS and he said he would ask the delivery Dept to Pop back and move it to the correct place.
Unfortunately the driver who arrived ,immediately came out with oh I can't go on the lawn the lorry will sink , having had several deliveries by lorries in the last few weeks I knew the lawn was solid as a rock due to the heatwave and there was no problem there whatsoever So reluctantly and rudely he made it clear that he didn't want to be here and that he should be back at the yard ,but after some rude exchanges I felt uncomfortable my partner felt uncomfortable but he did drop the sand where we needed it and then I asked him if he would kindly move the slabs and he said NO ! he said that was all he could do in the time was move the Sand!
It would have taken 10 mins to do it, But he Left in a Huff !
I called AWBS this morning and spoke to Andy again, and was told there was nothing they could do, but they would look after me the Next time I order something !!!!
FYI I won't be buying from AWBS again! As I don't want to deal with a company that has surly inflexible Delivery drivers !
As it happens another Delivery Lorry from a rival company,when delivering Brick's for an extension, very kindly moved the slabs for us to the correct place for free! So they will have my business moving forward.

Ordered 14 sleepers this morning (good price) and they were delivered to my house within one hour.
The driver used the HIAB to lift them over my fence into the garden which was really appreciated.
I would buy from this company again.

What a great company to deal with. My query regarding delivery and access was dealt with positively and the driver cheerfully got on with making a tricky delivery in a location with challenging access. Great service!

OXFORD GARDEN CENTRE - South Hinksey (owned by AWBS)
In April 2022 I bought three planters costing nearly £200 and was happy with the purchases as they offered 10 year frost guarantee. Unfortunately after the first winter one of the rectangular planters developed a frost crack down at the most prominent part and through the nice logo. I contacted the manufacturer who told me to deal directly through the Garden Centre and they would replace it under warranty. I contacted the Garden Centre and was told to take the planter back to them because they would needed to send it to the manufacturer. I reluctantly drove the 120 mile round trip with my cracked planter but my experience was not great once I arrived there. The manager at the Centre refused to accept my credit receipt as evidence of purchase even though I described the place and showed her a separate transaction for the coffee and cake that I had bought in their café. The manager said that I could have bought them from of the other sites and it was not sufficient proof. I told her I was happy to accept a credit voucher and upgrade to an bigger more expensive planter of the same make - but there was no way they were going to do anything without the original receipt. I have never dealt with such an unfriendly, inflexible attitude and they basically refused to do anything and referred me back to the manufacturer. I certainly will never deal with Oxford Garden Centre again and would advise caution to anybody dealing with such uncaring and unhelpful staff. I drove back the 60 miles home in not the best of moods and will now try and seek help from the manufacturer.

Have found over many years that AWBS have the best drivers around. Skilled, cheerful and considerate; James was on a long day today so actually phoned me last night to see if he could come early! They take a real pride in the job and in working for an independent family business.

Outstanding service, ordered online at 12pm, delivered free by 4pm same day. Only minor niggle, did not know they were coming !

Absolutely brilliant service, right from the start, I ordered two of the very large bags of gravel, the office assistant at the Oxford garden centre was extremely helpful, as they had stock it would be delivered today. I had only been home an hour and the bags were delivered, without any supervision the driver put them as close to the hedge as possible exactly where I had said to the shop assistant. Superb service at the shop and delivery, thank you very much, that’s why I go to a AWBS, because I’m never disappointed.

Great service, right through from ordering to delivery. I ordered 2 hippo bags of MOT and 1 of sand from the Swindon branch. The order confirmation arrived immediately. The delivery arrived first thing the next day and the AWBS driver (Lee) was fantastic, expertly reversing his truck up our narrow private lane and depositing all 3 hippo bags through a tree and over our 7 foot high fence into a very tight space. This saved me a lot of hard work, wheel-barrowing the aggregate into our garden. Just brilliant. I will definitely use this company again.

The worst company I have dealt with in 40 yrs of being in the trade. Made 3 calls and was promised delivery by last Friday. I then booked in chaps to do patio. Even called Thursday to check. Yes they will be there I was told. No delivery. Now had to pay chap as he lost a days money!! My problem apparently.
MD very rude, difficult, shouted me down on the phone.
Then accuses me of lying as his manager would never have agreed to delivery within a week. They even said the same to other family members so are they lying too Mr White!. Funnily enough previous order arrived in 24 hours but according to MD this doesn’t happen!? Took no ownership of the problem or responsibility. I am now out of pocket and been treated like a liar. Having to wait for refund as they won’t deliver now till later this week. Who knows if that will arrive.
Save yourself a lot of AGRO and find a more reliable and friendly company. They will let you down and really don’t care. Awful!

I have bought natural stepping stones of them twice - delivery has always been great. After they were laid one cracked no quibble they arranged a replacement to be sent out. The stones are great quality and the company very reliable.
