I have EIGHT AV-8 watches over a five year period, and I am delighted with the products.
I purchased a GMT, and was so delighted with it, I decided to buy the same watch again in a different colour.
When I received the watch, the colour green was very muted compared to the photographs online.
I decided to return it for a refund.
Whilst their website mentions that customers will be responsible for the cost of returns, it completely fails to disclose that returns must be shipped to Hong Kong.
I was astounded to find that the cheapest means of return was £25!!!
Despite writing to AV-8 to complain, my comments about the cost were ignored.
They have now lost a regular and repeat customer.
I will not be purchasing any more of their products.
As a regular customer, I do not feel that they have provided a good service. I assumed that the returns were either the UK, or Europe - NOT Hong Kong!
Unless you are absolutely certain that you will be keeping the watch before you order it, buyers beware of the high costs of returns!

I returned the watch to solar the distributor of av1 watches in hongkong still waiting on my refunded numerous emails to them no reply.Do not buy these watches they are shipped from hongkong unknown to me and also they wiil not go through customs as unknown to me as it has a battery inside the watch I am stiil £125.00 out of pocket plus £20.00 postage

First Impression
First impressions of the watch are good. Looks great and for the sale price of £209 would be 4 stars. But it's full price is £440 and had I paid that I'd not be so happy.
As I said it looks great, but when compared to £400 Bulova I have, the Bulova just looks in a different class.
Have read reviews about the lasting quality and poor customer services, but as I've only had it 3 days I can't comment as it's all working fine.
Beautiful looking watch however
Beautiful looking watch however, after only 13 months, it developed a loud rattling noise. I reached out to AVI8 who said it must be sent overseas (possibly for weeks) at my own cost just to determine what the issue is. AVI8 doesn’t have a service centre in Australia.
Avoid poor quality Chinese crap
Watch is nice but features are useless. Glow in the dark which they very actively promote is terrible and last minutes.
The watch strap broke at the clasp and their customer service refuse to resolve it under warranty and instead demand £70 for a new strap.
Quality is poor and this is a very very cheap watch sold at a premium
Dreadful service
Dreadful service. Bought a watch and the hands got stuck. Within warranty and sent to service centre. Receipt acknowledged. Heard nothing further. Told they were waiting for parts from AVI 8. Contacted them who said I needed to liaise with service centre. I said no as parts due from them. I was then told watch going to Hong Kong for repair. I asked for a refund and they said no as not within 30 days of purchase. I pointed out that the watch isn’t fit for purpose so I am rejecting it and want a refund. I like the watch but have lost faith in the product and service. I will sue if no refund in 7 days.

the time always late. brought it to the service center (of the store which i bought the watch. they said that they already switch the machine with the new one. it didn't take a long time for the watch to be late again.
Beautiful watch…that’s about it
Beautiful watch…that’s about it. The glow in the dark feature which is a major part of the advertising, worthless. Keep a flashlight nearby. Haven’t had it long enough to determine if it keeps accurate time, but judging from other reviews that is a big NO. My Seiko can be read in the dark all night long, this lasts no more than 2 minutes.

Abysmal customer service
Good looking watch. Loved it. Until it went wrong and wouldn’t work 14 months into a 24 month warranty. Sent it back to the manufacturer who returned it in the same non functioning state saying nothing wrong. Utter rubbish. It didn’t tell the time! Did the process a second time and same outcome.
In the end sent it back to Amazon who were great and refunded the purchase price. So the upshot is don’t by a good looking watch from a poor manufacturer and even worse customer service.

Be careful about delivery
My review is not about the item, but delivery, the watch has been shipped from China, even company is in Europe, after several months I have received a bill from Fedex about 170 Euro, this includes shipping and dept collections agency payment! I have never been informed, neither by the seller nor by Fedex that I have to pay for shipping. So at the end it didn't pay off.
Expensive product AND duty
After paying a lot for the product I must pay another 50€ for inport duty. In no moment does the company mention this extra costs.
AVOID this company
AVOID this company and buy your watch somewhere else. My watch was a Xmas present - it didn’t work when opened. Has been sent for repair - I now have no watch and no money. Absolutely disgraceful and would not recommend. Not worth it - really poor packaging also, so I thinks it’s a scam

Bought two watches from this company both packed at approx 1 year mark. Took them in person to their approved repair shop and told they were both repaired. They both packed in again.
Don't Get it Wet
I purchased this watch about six weeks ago and have worn it, maybe ten times. I happened to turn it over today and noticed some rust stains around the edge of the back. I tried to rub it from the stainless steel but to no avail. I contacted AVI-8 and sent the attached photo and their reply was that "it can typically arise due to prolonged exposure to moisture, which could be from excessive sweating or direct contact with water".
Well, I'm sure my wrist sweats to some extent, but I'm not aware of ever over-sweating, and given that the watch claims to be waterproof to 50m, surely it's designed to have direct contact with water! This reminds me of the Only Fools and Horses sketch where Del gives Rodney a waterproof diving watch but "best not get it wet". There would appear to be a fault with their production, their is certainly a fault with their customer service.
Buyer beware - poor quality and dreadful customer service.
I wish I'd read these reviews before buying. I bought a dual time watch recently for a trip but quickly found it would just stop randomly throughout the day. It seems like a poor crown design. I contacted avi-8 customer service but they were no help. I now have a lemon of a watch fit for the trash
