Swivel TV stand
Swivel TV stand - looks great if you don't want the swivel action.
TV slides down the post everytime it's used. If you tighten the nuts it won't move at all - I've only got a 40" TV so it's not that heavy.
If it slides to the base then the power cable is too short.
I checked if it's the actual post that moves but that's locked in place.
Very disappointed- I will be returning it to Argos today.
Gutter tv cabinet made as cheap as…
Gutter tv cabinet made as cheap as poss.
I ordered one of their AVF Infinity TV corner style cabinets which has four silver legs and to say the quality was bad is an understatement.
I ordered mine via a major UK retailer and it arrived on time but the fun started then when the poor courier couldn't manage it out of the van and at 55KG's im not suppressed.
As I started to open the large flatpacked box it became clear its been over-engineered and built to some complexity so rather than keep it straight forwards this company had in fact made it unnecessarily complicated and hard work for the end user (You) to put together.
There were bags and bags of screws, attachments and all sorts in the box, I've never seen anything quite like it.
So I tried to lay out all the items but my living room wasn't big enough, The instructions were somewhat ok to figure out but too small to make out what some of the diagrams were saying?.
As I laid down the first section of steel frame (One section is for the top and one for the bottom) I knew straight away that the quality of the screws and steel frame was a "Chinese special" or as cheap as can be, ultra thin steel frame with terribly cheap screws.
As I tried to progress the build the more I saw "Corners cut" by the manufacturer! Anyone who knows how to weld will know that IF you're building a steel frame and one that can hold a 55 inch tv on you tack weld it first and then fully weld it for maximum strength right!
NOPE! This is where it started to get scary! the frame all over and on every section where it joined another was just 'tack welded' offering the absolute lowest forms of strength all down to cost cutting and to maximise the speed of throwing these units out of the factory as quick as possible.
I also had issues with the rubber matting which was on the top corners that comes already glued down to them, the fitting was dire and in some places was over 4mm off from the other so it was very visible to see, I would also like to mention I gave up building it after getting around 25% into it and knew I simply wasn't happy with the build quality more so it being £400 from the retailer, the wood piece that went across the front was so far out from one side to the other I could almost sit my finger in the gap!.
I REALLY wished Trustpilot would allow photos to be uploaded because the proof I have what a state the cabinet was would shock some of you, in fact I've been in touch with the retailer I bought it from and they replied that the photos are dire and not what they are accustomed to selling so its going right back to the factory.
I really don't know about the other reviews and if they are legit but from what I'm seeing by reviewing this company is they haven't exactly set the world on fire with the customer feedback of their products, my advice review the company like I did but do it BEFORE you buy ANY of their products.
Prompt care and help
I can’t fault the care and advice given by John when l rang customer care, also for supplying a new part for a piece of my TV stand that my son damaged whilst assembling it

Excellent service by John in the AVF customer support team. He quickly solved the problem I was having finding the right screws to fix my new Samsung TV to my existing AVF extending wall bracket. Spoke to him on Wednesday late afternoon and the screws arrived in Saturday morning's post. As a bonus he was friendly, with a great sense of humour, and a pleasure to deal with.

Excellent after sales
I purchased Panoroma walnut & black TV unit many years ago and glass door shattered. I rung to enquire about purchasing a replacement door and was promptly sent replacement door FOC.
This is after sales service you unfortunately do not get very often.
10/10 for this company.
Outstanding product
Outstanding product with outstanding customer service. Looking at other reviews I had to wonder if they were writing about the same company. The tilt TV wall mount I bought is excellent! Yes, you have to follow the instructions as you put it up but once up - I swear you could swing an elephant from it and it tilts and moves as advertised. I made an enquiry to follow up and got an immediate helpful response.

The TV stand (FS1500BURO-AVF Burghley FS1500BURO Oak TV Stand) is very difficult to assemble and was impossible to get right. The hinges for the glass doors are poorly made and inadequate for the job and one part broke immediately. I've assembled many IKEA items over the years and this was by far the worst experience. Totally over priced. Jim
Not usually one for writing reviews
Not usually one for writing reviews, but very impressed.
Ordered a TV stand which came well packaged but unfortunately with the glass shelf broken.
They arranged for a new unit to be delivered very quickly and the courier took the old one away at the same time.
Superb after sales service thank you.
Customer Service
Excellent customer service from Jon Bartlett in response to my query about the screws I should use to attach my tv to tabletop stand. Very quick response.

I think it’s pathetic that they have added instructions for a curved tv but haven’t added the right length of screw for the correct curve, extremely annoying and quite frankly stupid.

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. Sent an enquiry, had a response within hours and parts are on their way. Excellent service Mitchell, keep up the hard work
Best customer service ever!
I have just spoken with your Customer Service Advisor, Mitchell, with a question to assist me in selecting the optimum AVF TV Base for my 43” TV. We worked through the dimensions and options and Mitchell’s detailed advice and clear explanations were exemplary. His knowledge and professionalism gave me full confidence in his recommendation, the product code for which he speedily sourced for my preferred retailer, Screwfix. Add to that, the phone was answered within 3 rings and it added up to the best customer service experience I can recollect with any company. Would that all helplines were as efficient; we’d be a much happier nation, Thanks Mitchell!

AVF is first-class
I have recently bought (not from AVF directly) an FSL1000BLEO Blenheim combi TV cabinet with bracket for TV mounting. This is an elegant and well-engineered cabinet with useful storage space and provision for TV ancillary equipment. Its price is very reasonable. AVF provide exceptionally clear and full instructions for mounting the TV, but even so, the installers (not AVF) did a very poor job. AVF have been extremely helpful in clarifying their mistakes. I rate AVF first-class, both in terms of their product and in their dedication to their customers.
Uses Yodel for delivery
Good range of nice-looking TV stands but AVF damages its own brand by using useless Yodel for delivery. Nightmare! Avoid!
Superb service and product
I lost a part of my TV stand whlist unpacking and rang AVF UK for a replacement. The gentleman on the phone was friendly and very helpful and sent out the part that day. It arrived well packed the next morning! This enabled me to compete the TV stand, which is lovely to look at and robust to replace the stand my son broke on his large screen heavy plasma TV. Superb service and product.
Excellent customer service
Called AVF group as the tv wall mount did not fit my Samsung TV. They said ' No problem will get the correct brackets in the post'. new brackets came the next morning - Great except it was the wrong bits, called back, many apologies made, due to human error.....correct items sent again and all ok!
Yes they made a mistake, but don't we all - and its how a company acts when they have that shows their true ethos.
