I have placed an order on 14/02/2022
I have placed an order on 14/02/2022, they said your product is packaged and with in today will dispatched. Today is 18/02/2022, I have received e-mail to tell me that my package is dispatched again and a link to track however, when you click the link it takes you no where but to buy more items.
I have called customer services he said it was dispatched yesterday with courier company and said you should receive within one day, when I said the delivery address is my work place and Saturday and Sunday we have no one, he then changed and said it won't be delivered before Monday. All in all disappointed!
Pure privilege scheme - Complete Sham
I have been a customer of Aveda for 13 years now. Actually I started using their products and styling my hair prior to then but I had joined the reward scheme in November 2008. I have been accumulating my points for 13 years with no appreciation from the Reward scheme provider.
I absolutely love Aveda, their products and have spent a fortune practically every month for years. I love the staff and what the company represents. The staff are just amazing and honestly very lovely and caring. You cannot fault the services they provide and with such passion. I’ve always been seen by Carl & Sergio for my colour they are phenomenal! You feel divine after your treatments 😊 this is 5 star service if not more.
My SHEER disappointment is with the reward scheme. I have been collecting points for the Spa (Tier 7) ultimate reward. I have nearly hit 100,000 points which clearly indicates my commitment and loyalty to the company and what it stands for and I support them. What I am very upset about is that they cancelled the Tier 7 option very recently which means we can no longer claim our international Spa trip. I had booked Antigua (Sugar Ridge) 3 times during the pandemic last year which was moved 3 times and at cost with BA and to myself with the amount of calls I made to the Caribbean. This was what I had saved for, for several years, I then claimed this for my birthday which due to the pandemic and understandably had to be postponed. Now that travelling has been opened up again in recent months Aveda have decided to close this Tier 7 reward option. There was absolutely no consultation with those members whom have spent over a decade to save for this ultimate reward, it was just shut down. I have spent so much money over the years with one goal in mind, to experience the ultimate reward aboard. This was my one inspiration. So what now? They said this reward is no longer possible even though we can now travel. I have suggested to perhaps hold this off and reopen in spring next year, at least then travel will be much safer or they could select a country where it will be accepted as a reward as trips are possible and many travellers and taking advantage of this.
I have had nothing back to resolve this that is comparable to my previously booked trip which was cancelled, this should have been honoured.
I am severely disappointed and all my years of collecting points which have led to nothing. I joined purely for the ultimate reward and that was my only inspiration. When I reached my target it was stripped.
I have now asked Aveda Customer Care to refund me back all the money I have spent over those 13 years to reach this target, then I will book my own Spa trip aboard which is now permissible.
There is also lack of communication and the responses are not prompt to resolve this situation at all. It is very, very disheartening indeed.
I am speechless, I saved and saved, and then nothing.
buggy website
Aveda UK has the absolute worst online store I've ever encountered. The shopping cart doesn't update, free samples aren't added, etc. etc.
Sort your s*** out!
Don’t trust Aveda
Placed an order a week ago, then I decided I wanted to cancel it within 48 hours (it hadn’t dispatched). Was advised I couldn’t as it was too far through the dispatch process. Checked again after a week, order is showing as ‘pending’ online, called up and have been told ‘there is a system issue and we can’t find your order’ and they will not put me through to a manger as its ‘their process that they can’t put calls through to managers’. They are happy to take your money though and not communicate that they’ve electronically ‘mislaid’ your order. Appalling company-won’t be using them again and will advise others not to trust this company. Currently £60 out of pocket and hoping they refund otherwise I’ll have to start a case against them with my credit card company. Please do not buy goods from this company-wish I’d read the other customers reviews on here first.
Happy customer
Quick delivery, items well packaged and the samples are always a bonus!
Had a great experience with customer…
Had a great experience with customer services. I had ordered my usual shampoo and conditioner only for the delivery people to leave it at someone else’s address (who’s, I don’t know?), the parcel was never recovered so I rang customer services not really expecting much, but thought I’d see what they’d say. I was very presently surprised when - with little pushing - the girl I spoke to apologised and resent my order! She was lovely and sorted out my issue with no fuss, I was really impressed and finally got my order!
Be very wary!
I have the same problem as Mrs H, Leeds. I placed an order on Sunday but the order didn't complete yet they charged my card. I know this happened to other customers over the weekend. I rang on Monday and was told I would be refunded and it was ok to place an order again. I did so and the same thing happened. I have been on the phone with them for two days and have been told different things every time. I have even had the phone put down on me! Shocking response from Aveda. They still have my money and I have no goods. Beware!
Unhappy long-term customer
I placed 2 orders on Sunday. The payments were taken but the orders were not actually placed. I placed the order again on Monday and the same thing happened. I have received one email to say that, due to a technical error, the details of the first order were not received and so the payment is being refunded. However, I have still not been informed that the others two payments are being refunded, even though Aveda have agreed that the orders were not actually received. Meanwhile, according to the email I received, it is still not possible to place orders. I have been an Aveda customer for many years and am extremely unhappy with how they are dealing with this technical problem.
Not an animal cruelty free brand or environmentally concerned.
Aveda are big on announcing that they are an animal cruelty free brand as they do not test on animals. However, they are owned by Estee Lauder that ship Aveda products to Mainland China, where all products are mandatorily tested on animals. Aveda may not be directly testing on animals but they are perpetuating and contributing to the needless suffering of animals and they should be held accountable. I do not believe that they can claim to be an animal cruelty free brand.
I am also disappointed that the packaging contains polystyrene ’noodles’ which cannot be recycled. Really Aveda? Admit it, you don’t care enough about animals or our environment.
Well done !!
I am surprised about those bad reviews about Aveda..
I am a long time customer and even now during the lockdown they have been great as always.
A quick response to my email about the gift in my purchase (I had a problem to add this up), straight forward they emailed me and sent this extra samples to my address, well done!
Also I have had a problem to return the product to them for a refund (parcel came back to me), again Aveda responded within one day, at the end they received the item and refunded me with extended 90 days return policy during the lockdown.
Thank you Aveda for great customer service!
Ps; I would welcome to be able to write a review about your products to pass my experience forward.

Shambolic mess
Cancelled orders, glacially slow refunds, just a general all round mess. I have been so unimpressed which is a shame as I like their products but in future will find somewhere else to buy them!
Fast delivery
I placed an order before reading reviews, was expecting the worse.however, I received my order 3 days later, order all correct and intact. Items were well packaged. Only thing I wish it would mention on the package is that the fillers they use in the packaging if you put them in water they dissolve, I doubt if many people realise this
Plastic packaging galore - so much for sustainability, Aveda?!
I thought Aveda was serious about sustainability (one of the reasons I wanted to buy from them) so I was disappointed when box delivered full of polystyrene fillers - not recyclable in my area. So many better options exist! Not good enough.
Poor customer service
I've ordered a fair few products from Aveda in the last few months. Several have subsequently been out of stock (though not showing so when ordered) but Aveda's notification of this has generally been very late (several weeks) and I am still awaiting any news on one order item, meant to be a Christmas present, which I ordered on 3rd December, despite me trying to call them (terribly long queue which I gave up on) and emailing them several times. I'll be ordering from third parties in future.
They decided to supplement a product in…
They decided to supplement a product in my order (a Christmas gift set) with a random bottle of conditioner without notifying me beforehand and were then really difficult to get hold of. Not good enough
Wow ditto so many of the messages
Wow ditto so many of the messages. Appalling customer service, took 3 tries to place an order. The last a whole hour on the phone to a quite incompetent person who assured me it was all paid for and would be with me in 5 working days. That was 3 weeks ago. Chased for the 4th time today- no record of the order or the name of the agent who took it. Have used Aveda for 30 years because it’s supposed ethics. Feel I may have been duped by a very unprofessional company and their incompetent staff. Will now take business elsewhere Elemis, Origins, kiehls, decleor who already provide excellent products and device and will get my hard earned money, not Aveda a complete waste of time. Certainly Sue Fox CEO needs to be aware of this appalling excuse for customer service from a 1 star company
Order £70 worth of products and the…
Order £70 worth of products and the moment I the pay button has the usual "Covid" excuse that so many companies are hiding behind now that delivery may be delayed!! Paid for gift wrap and it turned up in a box with shredded cardboard.......no gift wrap............shambles of a customer service team and response...........avoid avoid avoid them as you will be disappointed...........fact they dont even reply to the endless moans and groans shows how little they value feedback......#growapair
This company is not listening!
This company is not listening!
I queried why I had not received any free samples as advertised and received the same standard email from two different, so called, ‘customer service’ staff neither of which addressed my problem!
Not good so far...
The products in my delivery all opened and spilt everywhere. One product hadnt spilt but was half empty and had clearly been used. Phoned aveda and was told a replacement delivery would be sent out straight away. After 3 days I rang again as I hadnt had any shipment confirmation regarding my order. Was told it hasnt even been sent out yet and the lady told me she would request the replacement order again and that i would have to wait longer. I am now waiting again for an Express delivery of my order (which hasnt been shipped today either) will keep this review updated. For a first time buyer from this company, I know that accidents can happen with regards to leaking items but to be sent a half filled, used item and then get lied to on the phone regarding the replacement and then having to chase it up isnt good customer service, I'm quite disgusted with it. It's not like the products are cheap either so youd expect quality goods and service from aveda, which isnt what I've had so far
Just shocking customer services
Just shocking customer services! Takes ages to even get a response to any queries and then when someone does get back to you it’s like they haven’t even read the email as the actual queries are not addressed! I have used Aveda products for years but will not be doing so any longer! I brought a litre bottle which used to come with a pump, and a matching conditioner, not one I’d used before! No pump with the litre bottle, I emailed as I can’t use this without a pump due to problems with wrist joints! They don’t do the pumps anymore, have tried to resolve the issue with them but they completely unwilling to help so I asked for packaging to be sent so I could return items and they sent me a flimsy envelope.....for a litre bottle and another item!!! I am worried that if product is damaged during return transit I won’t receive refund and they just won’t answer queries about this now! Totally crap and they don’t care about customers at all!
