Our every single declaration for VAT Return for year 2023 was made with NIL but we sent every month file with firures, they never react or give personal service, there is no possibility to contact any person from service, only automatic replies, you can never ask or get reply, do not understand how it works, we are receiving reminders from local tax office and extra payments because of wrong declarations, really difficult

Stay Away from Avalara's Online Tax Services: A Warning for Small Businesses
I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Avalara, an online tax office, in the hope that it might spare others from the same pitfalls.
To provide some context, my business is a sole-owner Ltd company registered in the UK but operating in Germany. I hired Avalara to handle my German VAT affairs right from the start. My business involvement was minimal; I only had a few little Amazon sales at the time of closing. Despite the low volume of financial transactions and minimal accounting documents, Avalara's service was extremely poor.
Due to Avalara's incredible sluggishness, the entire process of VAT deregistration took nearly seven months. This delay is inexplicable, considering my business had minimal activity and should have been a straightforward case. Let's be clear: just the initial stage of submitting the paperwork to the German authorities took them three months. This protracted timeline made it evident that Avalara had no interest in expediting my request, especially as they continued to benefit from my ongoing subscription fees.
Worse still, Avalara failed to inform me of the necessity to file an annual tax declaration in Germany. I only learned of this requirement when I received a notice from the German tax office. This omission is a glaring oversight that exemplifies their utter negligence and lack of concern for their clients.
Communication with Avalara was equally appalling. Emails went unanswered for days, and when they did respond, it was usually without providing a satisfactory solution to my issues. It felt as if they were more interested in bouncing back emails rather than genuinely resolving any problems. While they were quite responsive and even intrusive during the contract-signing stage, their enthusiasm evidently waned once the ink was dry, leaving me feeling utterly neglected.
Throughout my career, I have worked with various smaller accounting firms for multiple businesses, and I can confidently say that my experience with Avalara was the worst. They were only interested in my money, showing complete disinterest in the well-being and legal standing of my business.
Therefore, I strongly discourage anyone from using Avalara's services, especially small businesses who might assume they'll get quicker, more attentive service. Their lack of urgency, poor communication, and general disinterest in customer satisfaction are significant red flags. Save yourself the time, money, and emotional energy by avoiding Avalara at all costs.
I will never be using their services again, and I highly recommend you steer clear as well.
