This was my second purchase from…

This was my second purchase from AVADirect and neither of my systems were flawed in any way. The customer service was responsive and the build time and lead time were very fast. The latest build is an HTPC and I would 100% recommend their products.

Fantastic First Experience

I heard about AVADirect from Braethorn on YouTube, who compared a few system integrators and I was immediately attracted to their features! Although I did extensive research on the components that I needed, this was my first PC building experience and I felt more comfortable with a professional assembling everything together, and boy, was I in good hands!

The website navigation was solid with the PC Customer Builder. I was able to find exactly what I needed, and I loved having so many options at my disposal, especially after doing so much research on the parts that I specifically wanted. I also received 3 free promo digital games along with my purchase!

I also appreciated having Bread Financial as a payment option since it allowed me to split my $2,700+ rig into 12 easy interest-free payments! There weren't any hidden fees and standard shipping was free!

I called AVADirect shortly after placing my order, because I realized I had accidentally selected a part I didn't want. It was after business hours and I got concerned, because I didn't know if I needed to cancel my order to make changes and be subjected to any cancellation fees if my order entered the Processing Phase. I ended up leaving a voicemail and email and thankfully, Craig C from Tech Support emailed me the next business day and made it very easy to make adjustments to my order and purchase them before it went into processing.

I also appreciated having Zhanna A from Customer Support contact me the same day to provide me with some options to expedite my order, which was great, because I did find some more affordable options. It was admirable that AVADirect valued my time to suggest alternatives to have my product built and shipped as quickly as possible.

Everyone I encountered was very friendly and knowledgeable. It took only took 16 days for me to receive my order after placing it originally, and within that timeframe, a mere 2 days of shipping. As an extra layer of security, FedEx required to scan my ID/Driver's License to confirm delivery. Everything came professionally installed, I received all the manuals for each component of my PC and everything was extremely easy to set up.

I spoke with Brandon from Tech/Customer Support a few days afterwards who was able to quickly locate my order and provide me with additional information about Windows installation. There was only a couple of minutes of hold time before being connected to Brandon and he was super patient with me.

Once again, as my first time having a PC built, I highly recommend AVADirect as a smooth and feasible experience for anyone looking to step foot in the PC gaming environment!

Avadirect is Amazing!

After searching around the many different PC building sites, I found Avadirect. Their customization options were far superior to all of the other sites, which is why I chose them. With the help of one of the amazing staff members, we put together a beast of computer, and although I had to swap out a few parts to avoid waiting for months, I am very satisfied with what I received. The computer arrived extremely fast after going through all of the quality tests, and it was very well packaged. Everything was intact, and the cable management was better than I could have imagined. I've never been happier with a PC than I am with this one. I would definitely recommend Avadirect to anyone in the market for a new build.

Never get tricked into purchasing from Avadirect

Of course avadirect isn’t going to publish bad reviews on their own site (that should be red flag 1). Over 2 years ago I ordered a system. I still have no factual proof of delivery so I’m out of over $2700. Not only that but I was also informed I couldn’t get the “free” digital download games without receiving the hardware. Here are the facts gathered from my order:
FedEx was unable to determine where they were on my property via their own GPS tracking during time of delivery.
FedEx’s “signature” was not that of mine but one that matched exactly a cursive font from Microsoft word.
FedEx’s driver gave a very generic description of the person that supposedly signed for the package which at the time only possibly matched one of my neighbors who did not have the computer.
My neighbor noted he saw a FedEx truck but did not see them unload a package.
After a supposed investigation somehow this conjecture was proof of delivery and I was denied any compensation.
Not only this but the hours of frustration spent all for nothing was unbelievable because Ava would not stand behind their own customer. I had to contact FedEx and go through a bunch of hoops. Perhaps that specific problem was internal to FedEx. I don’t know, but what I do know is that I had no choice in who the carrier was and that Avadirects website blatantly claims a signature is required for delivery. Clearly no real signature was given nor identification checked to see IF there really was a person on my property whether or not they should be eligible to sign for the product.
Not only this, but I was also able to purchase parts with better warranty and get them all much sooner than the weeks of parts allocated took for their process and at a better price. Buyer beware, avadirect does not stand behind their customers. What’s really sad is the much greater amount of money they would have made by just making this right and having a loyal customer for years to come. Guess management doesn’t see that or really thing about long term profit, just how many quick onetime instances they can rip someone off. I also requested to speak with someone further up the chain in management and was denied to be able to do so as the rep stated there wasn’t a point and it wouldn’t do me any good.

Honest review is that they have great customization and very knowledgeable sales folks, but customer service is a mixed bag

Keep in mind that there are very few negative reviews, so for the volume of computers they sell, seems like 98%+ of people are happy.

The customization options and sales team are fantastic. Their custom PC builder allows you to choose almost any part with specificity (e.g., can choose specific partner model GPUs, specific motherboards from any major brand, etc.). What really holds them back from 5 star is their customer service. When you call, it is quite common for the rep to make it sound as if the customer is somehow responsible for delays on AVA's side or the customer is being unreasonable to ask for a status update when weeks have gone by for a 'phase' of the build. I am NOT referring to time spent waiting for a GPU or CPU - every manufacturer and SI has to deal with that, and every consumer should understand those delays. I am saying that once AVA confirms that all parts are available and the PC is being built, it still takes weeks to assemble and test. They really should just give status updates weekly automatically to help customers not feel nervous or feel like something is wrong.

One last note - do all of your research before ordering. Once you place the order, it is very costly to change or cancel any parts of the order (10% of the total).

One of the most frustrating experiences of my life.

First and last time ever attempting to get a prebuilt computer. I don't have the time nor the patience to explain the frustration that this company put me through. Bottom line, they'll take your $2-3,000 out of your bank account, never contact you or keep you posted about part delays (which is stated is THEIR responsibility in their own Terms of Service. If you think I'm joking it's Article 4 of Conditions of Sale on their own Payment Form. "It is our responsibility to maintain direct communication with customer regarding any delays which we are aware". They NEVER ONCE contacted me in 2+ months, and were WELL AWARE.), then when you contact them every 2-3 weeks, they'll pretty much give you zero answers, incoherent ramblings about something or another, leaving you worse off than when you called to check on the status. Then on top of waiting over 2+ months with ZERO contact initiated by them, for a part they said they would have in 2 weeks. Nope. THEN if you try to refund, they'll try to steal 10% of your total order cost even though they had only acquired $80 of a $2,700 computer build. So essentially trying to steal $270 from my family because they're unable to fulfill THEIR OWN OBLIGATIONS AS STATED ON THEIR TOS. Worst company I've dealt with in a long time. After telling them how full of themselves they were, they finally decided I was right and gave me back 100% of my money. Thank god. Don't deal with these crooks, they're betting you don't have the balls to stand up to them to get that 10% of your final order cost back. (When they can't even acquire the parts, they'll glad take your money though) The only reason I even bothered with this site is because it's listed on AMD's Site under "Where To Buy"...yeaa...riiight. I would give you negative 5 stars if it was possible. Hands down worst experience pertaining to buying computer parts in my life, you would think for someone willing to give a company $2,700 they could at least let you know what was going on, but nah, they'd genuinely don't care.

Worse experience

I placed my order in November and it finally has shipped 4 months later. First, either the mail delayed or they lost my first payment. Two weeks later they said they received a second check but it was never returned to me as they said they would do. They changed my SSD to prevent a backorder without asking first, then did nothing for nearly two months waiting on a video card. Finally, I called them fed up and they told me that if I kept that video card they didn't know when my order would ship, even after 3 months. I asked them for other options and they didn't have anything equivalent. After they wanted to either downgrade my card or charge me hundreds extra, and with all the time that had passed, I asked about canceling. Despite not being able to fulfill my order, they wanted to charge me a fee. Upon asking to talk to a manager, they magically found another card that was still over a hundred dollars more, but I conceded. Then the computer failed testing and was delayed again. Finally, and probably the last straw to convince me to take time to write a review, the promos offered with the order back in November were not honored by the company and they blamed the manufacturers rather than taking responsibility for taking 4 months to fulfill an order even though I expressed this concern well before they expired. Maybe it was the perfect storm, but they should at least try to make it right.

Nonexistent customer service, punishing cancellation fees, shady business practices

BUYER BEWARE: AVA Direct customer service is nonexistent, hidden cancellation fees are punishing, and business practices are extremely shady.

I ordered a PC and attempted to cancel the order 4 days later but was unable to reach them via phone (busy signal all the time), live chat (no live agent came on the line), and online form (no response). By the time I got ahold of them, they wanted to charge me $100 to cancel an order they hadn't built or shipped yet claiming they had "allocated parts for my order" by putting the parts in a bin. They fabricated a cancellation charge with no documentation of what 'parts had been allocated' and asked for it over the phone. I filed a dispute with my credit card and received my money back but I highly recommend you steer clear of this company. If necessary, play hardball and file a chargeback.

They also have very suspicious online reviews (ResellerRatings.com) where they have 100% positive reviews in 1 year ... they don't have a SINGLE bad review in 365 days-- absolutely shady! My own negative review of them on that site mysteriously disappeared and won't appear.

There are tons of negative reviews about them on social media forums where reviews can't be removed/manipulated so search on computer forums, Reddit, etc. Please do your research, take your money elsewhere, and don't buy from them!

Excellent custom build PCs and great customer service

Bought a custom gaming PC from AVA just before Christmas and the experience has been nothing else than excellent. Their salesman Kyle Mizer was always going the extra mile to assist with my order. When there were a few bumps on the road (parts that I wanted went out of stock) he was keen to quickly offer alternatives and discounts to find a solution so the build time was not impacted as much. He's also quite funny and nothing else than a living pop-culture God.
I also asked for some extras like several SATA cables to make it easy to transfer my OC and my drives from my old machine and they did it without any extra charge.
When my build was ready to ship, their carrier did not show up on the day and Kyle was prompt to contact me to let me know the computer wasn't shipped on the planned day. To ensure I get it before Christmas, he took the initiative to have it shipped on an expedited Saturday delivery without any extra cost. I receive the machine and the first thing that struck me was how well this case was packaged. The tower was in a total of three boxes (case manufacturer box with polystyrene protection put in another brandless card box with extra inflated plastic protection which was put in another AVA branded card box with extra shock resistant foam and pro bubblewrap). When I finally put my hands on the case, I noticed they also put some protection foam inside it to ensure none of the components could be damaged while in transit.
I opened the case and the cable management was absolutely flawless. I easily moved my drives from my old PC to the AVA build thanks to the extra cables they added and even if I didn't purchase a Windows OC (since I already have a license) they pre-installed a windows NT light which made it real smooth to transfer my OC and I didn't have to reinstall any driver.
I ordered an extreme overclocking of my CPU (20% or more) and after testing the machine on a few games and tests, I seriously cannot fault it. The performances are up to the roof, they overclocked my CPU at 5Ghz, temps are still pretty low and everything is really stable. Wicked awesome job here!
This build is doing everything I expected it to do, it's fast, it's beautiful, it's powerful, it's reliable, it simply exceeds my expectations and they were pretty high. I really recommend AVA Direct if you want to get your hands on a high-end custom gaming PC without the hassle of buying the components and build it yourself. Their prices are very reasonable and the service is top notch. I cannot recommend them more.

PS: If this review was not enough to convince you and you want to know who you'll get in business with, they host an online show every Friday afternoon either on their Facebook page or on Twitch. Go and watch it for yourself, they speak about IT and gaming news and you'll soon realize they are often spot on. They know their business and they are blatantly honest about it. And Joe will surely crack you up.

AVA Direct has some of the best prices on top quality computers

AVA Direct has some of the best prices on top quality computers, and excellent support.
Unsure of the time a phone conversation or online chat would take, I posted a problem to their forum, and by the time I checked, a couple of hours later, they had provided a solution.
If you know what hardware you need, and which manufacturer makes the best hardware for your computer, AVA Direct's huge list of options are likely to have it, at some of the most reasonable prices anywhere.
There is also a lot of very useful information in the forums.
