I have booked the car in Budapest. I had to pick up the car at 10.00 but the time of arrival was changed to 11.30. I used the platform rental cars where I changed the arrival time. When I arrived to Budapest I called to Autonom but they refused my booking because the time was not changed and they cancelled my reservation and they didn't have another car. Finally they took whole amount for rent and did not want to refund it. I strongly recommend no to use this company.

i rented a vehicle from Autonom to tour Romania. The drop-off went very well but when I returned the car without incident and earlier, the clerk who picked it up pointed immediately to an almost invisible tiny crack on the black part of the windshield as if he already knew it was there. And although it hadn’t happened while it was in my possession, it is a simple and cheap fix to fill such a crack. Instead they refused to return the €150 deposit and also kept the €20 for the late return!
Such dishonesty gives Romania the poor reputation it has and such companies should not be encouraged by hiring cars from them. There are tons of reputable companies to choose from, so forget small local fly-by-night joints like Autonom.

Amazing company! Used them a couple of times, each time they were super professional and helpful. I rented from Tg-Mures airport and had a great experience. They were even able to accommodate some of my additional requests.

Very positive experience, from pick-up to return, including the staff that had to deal with a breakdown of the IT system (happens..)

I have rented two times from these guys. They have old cars with stained seats. Please avoid. Stick to international brands that will have a minimum standard for rentals, typically new cars with very few miles. One of the cars that I took from autonom.ro was a Clio Symbol with 150k km and a nearly burnt clutch.
