Disappointing experience…
I have booked my car today for April End 2026 through their website and they got rejected my booking. I have called them and ask the reason so they said there not availibility of the car which i have booked so i had argued that your website still showing that car then what is the reason so he said thats he can see that on his side then i asked can you check again than after checked he said its available but double the price then i said my booking rejected based on price not availibility so why your system is showing not available? he did not say anything. Their website has fake price. Please double check before you book. I think its something fishy there. Very disappointing first experience.

They accepted my Visa credit card and got to the rental company which did not accept that specific Visa. The rental company told me I should be able to get a refund. I called Auto Europe after researching every where to find a number that was up to date where I could reach them. I finaly found one. I called and told them my situation and she said I will be entitled to a refund as it my rental was not used. She gave me the email to contact as I could not find a functioning email any where else.
After explaining my situation over email, they told me that my rental of 34 days was not refundable for not providing a valid credit card, the credit card they accepted for my payment in the first place. They had a supervisor call me, but since I was at work I could not respond and they left no phone number to call back and the number they called me on was an obselete number.
I had to reach out to the rental company and talk to them so they could send me an email saying that they should give me a refund to then send that information back to Auto Europe. After 3 weeks of fighting, wasting time on email back and forth, calling and work organization due to the inconvenience, they finaly decided to give me a refund.
This was a nightmare and I would not recommend them as this was a terrible situation to be in. Not a friendly costumer service.

Had a hard time reaching out to CS RE: modification or cancellation about our reservation.
Paid Voucher was not accepted. But finally problem fixed!
Voucher provided by auto europe failed to be accepted by Avis rental company. Could not contact company at time of pickup, voucher didn't work and had to pay for my car again. Now I need refund from them, but it is very difficult to reach the company. So results are unknown. Worst case will start dispute and request charge back from Visa if no response from them. Before never had any problem with them. Hope they will resolve the problem and issue refund.
Follow up: they didn't refund money or fixed the problem with provider for abaut 2 month. Probably AVIS delay. But 3 days ago got email from them that money will be refund in full!!!! As of today i got full refund from Auto europe!!

To sum it up we paid for a car rental and got an entirely different lower grade vehicle than the “similar” they promised since the one we wanted wasn’t available, not only did we NOT get our car as described in the contract we were charged extra! And not for damages fuel or anything wrong just because we asked for a similar vehicle yea that’s right and we still didn’t get anything even close wow! stay away from this place they will not support you at all the customer service team does not care about customers clearly! Be very careful - Zero Excess Coverage is Misleading
Be very careful when purchasing insurance coverage for your rental. The "Zero Excess" coverage package AutoEurope sells you for a significant increase in rental cost does NOT reduce your liability for damage or theft to $0.00. It covers you only up to $700 CAD per incident and $2800 CAD per rental. This means you are responsible for any damage or theft of the vehicle in excess of that amount. You need to read the VERY fine print to find that out. I have rented from them many times in the past. Their coverage has changed. They should state those severe limits on protection very clearly. To call it "Zero Excess" is completely misleading. I once trusted this company and . I no longer trust them and will not rent from them again.
Signed up to rent a Audi Q3 in Germany…
Signed up to rent a Audi Q3 in Germany and was offered a VW Passat instead. The sales rep said that the VW was the only remaining car in my class that I wanted to rent but he had all kinds of higher end cars for us to rent at a higher price. When we went to get the VW, there were 100s of other cars in the Audi class that could have been offered. In spite of me telling the sales rep that I have ample insurance coverage, they kept pushing the coverage and trying to scare that the costs would be high if something happened. In my opinion, just sneaky underhanded sales tactics to make you spend more. Stick with the bigger main Car Rental firms.
