Promises Made, Not Delivered
I had high hopes working with this publisher, but my experience as a first-time author has been frustrating and disappointing.
I was promised distribution to 500+ platforms, but my books appear to be available primarily on Amazon. Requests for a verifiable list of these platforms have gone unanswered.
I was also charged $3,000 for four ISBNs and have yet to receive any documentation or cost breakdown to justify this.
Printing timelines were not honored. I made it clear I needed books for my birthday and was repeatedly told we were on track. The books arrived late, and the copies I received were ordered from Amazon—not part of a coordinated publishing process.
Editorial quality was also poor. I had to proofread my own books, and in some cases, my comments were copied directly into the manuscript.
Communication has been a major issue throughout. Messages went unanswered, scheduled calls were missed, and my repeated request for a different Project Manager was ignored.
There was also heavy pressure around a Books-A-Million (BAM) placement, which I later found is not recognized in the way it was presented.
At this point:
Distribution is incomplete
Printing is unresolved with no clear ETA
A $7,000 refund request (BAM + printing) has not been addressed
Key documentation (including ISBN purchase details) has not been provided
I made several attempts to resolve this privately before posting this review.
If you’re considering working with this company, ask detailed questions upfront and get everything in writing.
