Authentic Scandinavia Reviews 

I recently went on a big solo tour of Scandinavia which Authentic Scandanavia arranged for me. This involved starting in Bergen, then doing the Norway in a Nutshell tour. After that, it was on to Oslo for a few days. I then travelled on an overnight crossing to Copenhagen, again for a few days. The journey continued to Stockholm by train for a couple of days and finally I went by boat to Helsinki, where I spent the last 2 days. The whole trip was 2 weeks
This was the first time I had travelled completely alone, I am 58 years old, so I was somewhat anxious.
When I first contacted Authentic Scandinavia to make a few general enquiries about this type of tour, they immediately responded and organised a call at my convenience. I booked it for a few days later, and before the call I received a reminder that the chat was approaching, which I thought was really cool.
I originally spoke to Victoria and told her all the places I would like to incorporate into my trip, and she had that tour and could add, tweak, and make it exactly how I wanted. I was really happy that I could do exactly what I wanted. I discussed my concerns about being a woman on my own in several cities, and she completely reassured me
After that, I checked the company's testimonials and saw nothing but excellent reviews. So I decided I was going to go for it
From then on, I corresponded with Nicole, who was equally as fabulous as Victoria. I paid my deposit and I would often have a question about the actual logistics of travelling, for example, what type of plugs are used and are all the countries the same in this aspect and Nicole would answer me, basically immediately with all the information required. I never once felt I was bothering her or being too demanding
So at the appropriate time I received a reminder that the balance was due and then a month before, I received all the information. This information was beyond incredible. It literally walked me through from when I set foot in the country, how I would get to my hotel, all the options of transport, plus where I could buy a ticket and how much money I would need and how I would need to pay for this; or if I wanted to walk, how I could do that.
I also received information about the places I was visiting and the top 10 attraction recommendations, plus restaurant recommendations for all budgets in each city. It was honestly incredible and so comforting to have that research done for you, so you didn't have that panicky feeling of trying to find your way alone
All the hotels were great; some of course, were better than others, but that is subjective and down to personal taste. I walked everywhere, so they were all within walking distance to the main city centre. Everywhere I stayed was quiet. I live in the middle of nowhere, so noise bothers me when I am away, and I was astounded by how quiet it was. The people in Scandinavia are polite and helpful; they speak English like natives; everything is very well organised within the countries, such as the transport systems, and EVERYTHING IS CLEAN.
The moral of the story is I would definitely recommend a trip to this part of the world and if you are heading this way, I would tell you that you need to book it through Authentic Scandinavia because I don't honestly think you could find a better option.
I would give them 8 stars for their service as 5 doesn't do them justice
