I wish I’d have read the reviews before…

I wish I’d have read the reviews before using these bunch of shysters. Bid on an item after I’d won it, 50% went on the bill for payment in krone. The a quote of 6-8 week and a delivery cost of £67. Steer clear of these rip off artists. I’m going to cut my losses and leave the item in Sweden.

PROBLEMS WITH TRANSPORT TO THE UK

The site is amazing with many interesting items to buy from across Europe. The transport costs to the UK however are extremely high for no apparent reason. I purchased an extremely large 19th century painting with a delicate gilt frame from an auction house in Sweden and paid a lot of money for it to be delivered to one of Auctionet's hubs in Andover. When I went to collect it, I was horrified to discover that the painting had been transported with absolutely no bubble wrap or boxing to protect it. My complaint to customer services was not dealt with satisfactorily and subsequent emails have been ignored. As a result I don't trust the transport of purchases to be safe.

The prices for our deliveries vary depending on many different factors such as size, fragility, value of the item, weight, distance. All items are packed in recycled and environmentally friendly packaging during transport, when the items arrive to the collection hubs the packaging is removed.

The most painful and extortionist buying process!

Not a first-time Auctionet buyer. But it may very well be my last. 

I purchased a desk around 2 months ago. I paid around 350 euros for the desk and 350 euros for transport. After weeks of not hearing about the delivery and many follow-ups they told me that the desk was damaged (completely broken) in transport and is still at the location.

Let me preface by saying that I absolutely love this desk, as it's exactly the size/style I have been looking for, which is why I've been making such an effort. But things continued to go downhill from there. 

1- The item was apparently already broken and repaired once, which they failed to disclose in the item description. The entire desk was held together with one screw. They were probably hoping that it would break AFTER a customer picked it up or after it was delivered.

2- I offered that they could take the time to repair it themselves and then send it to me or cover the cost of repair. I sent them all the quotes I received.

3- They refused to repair it, pay for the repair, or send it to me broken. They did not want to trouble themselves with honoring the order and confirmed in writing that they would be throwing it in the trash.

4- In my last attempt at trying to get my desk, I then went on to find my own collection and transport options to pick up the item.

5- They then had the audacity to ask for 250 euros to sell their "trash" to me? I have to pay 400 euros for my own transport, 700-900 euros to restore the desk, and now Auctionet would also like 250 euros for an item they refused to repair, refused to send, and consider trash? 

6- To make matters even worse, they are now flat out refusing to let me collect my desk under any circumstances, and insist that they prefer to throw it out.

Have some shame. It's free.

The delivery options are horrible

The delivery options are horrible. You end up paying +100 euros for delivery, only to find out that opening hours to pickup location is weekdays only, during work hours (9-12), so you end up to take vacation for this order. The company should really fix their customer service in terms of delivery. Horribe customer experience.

Bought a painting for £800

Bought a painting for £800, another £300 in buyers fees followed by "admin and shipping" leaving the total at £1,400. At this cost, the painting is also not even shipped to my home (that's another 200) but is to be collected at a countrywise warehouse. Would not recommend
