Atlas is one of the most disappointing…
Atlas is one of the most disappointing experiences of my life. I was recruited by a trusted friend- who said Atlas would bring me all of the personal change I sought to accomplish. I was bought in. I don’t have much money, but I invested $4k because I believed the program would transform me. I put everything I had into the exercises and slowly started to feel like other people were getting something that I was not. I did not have “breakthroughs” and the same “transformational” outcomes as some of the other vocal members of my cohort. I wished I did. I wanted to be hypnotized into being a more advanced version of myself, and believed my experience in Atlas would bring that to me. Despite my belief in the program and giving it my all, I did not experience profound insight or transformation.
Atlas is a unique experiential program that can act as a mirror for how you live your life. It can reveal aspects of your self beliefs and behavior that you gloss over, and to be honest I am still processing it after several months. Maybe I will change my mind. But as it is right now, the insight it has brought me has not come close to the financial investment.
If you have $4k and want to give it a shot, go ahead.
And yes, you have to recruit 2 people into the program to graduate the 3rd part, which is regarded as the most transformational aspect of the program.
In regards to recruitment, I felt that they were pushing us to emotionally manipulate our loved ones. We were literally told that if someone we were trying to recruit found the program too much money, that we could say something like “if your daughter was in the emergency room and you needed 4k to fund her treatment so that she could live, would you find a way to do it?”
Like, what?
Arthur was the worst trainer I had. He said that.
Atlas Project - Good Cult Lifespring and Large Group Awareness Training
I took The Atlas Project program and am writing this review to share what I personally experienced and witnessed, not what is advertised.
Atlas presents itself as a nonprofit personal development program. In reality, the structure, language, and group dynamics closely mirror older transformational trainings like Lifespring and later versions such as MITT. The branding changes, but the class itself is essentially the same model that has been recycled for decades.
Recruitment Was Required
During the program, I was explicitly told that I had to recruit two new people in order to continue and ultimately “graduate.” Each recruit was expected to pay roughly $4,000. This was not framed as optional or aspirational — it was treated as a requirement.
I personally watched people get pushed out of the program when they failed to recruit. They were excluded from activities and effectively removed. I also saw participants so desperate to finish that they offered to pay for someone else’s tuition just to meet the requirement. That alone should raise serious red flags.
If someone is recruiting you into Atlas, you should expect to be asked to pay thousands of dollars, possibly to finance it, or to be brought in by someone who needs you in order to complete their own program. That creates an obvious conflict of interest and turns personal relationships into transactions.
Financial and Social Pressure
The recruiting pressure completely changed the tone of the experience. What began as “personal growth” quickly became about enrollment and compliance. People were encouraged to overcome discomfort around money, debt, and pressuring friends — all reframed as personal “breakthroughs.”
This kind of pressure does not belong in a program that claims to be about self-awareness or integrity.
Reviews Are Not Representative
The public reviews you see online are overwhelmingly positive. Based on my time inside the program, participants were strongly encouraged to promote Atlas publicly and present it in the best possible light. Critical feedback was discouraged.
Because of this, I do not believe the review landscape reflects a genuine or balanced range of experiences. It feels curated and internally driven, not organic.
This Is Not New
There is extensive public discussion and media coverage about Lifespring and MITT, including podcasts like Good Cult, that document how these programs operate: emotionally intense group settings, shifting goalposts, recruitment pressure, and consequences for those who resist. Many trainers move between organizations. The name changes, the structure stays the same.
Final Thoughts
I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision.
Atlas is everything it says it will be…
Atlas is everything it says it will be - LIFE CHANGING and transformational. Seriously couldn’t recommend it more MORE MORE to anyone.
If you’re considering it, go.
If you’re not considering it, also go 🤣
Worth its weight in gold.
Went in as a 21 year old from Australia- completely pulled me from “going through the motions” of life and I feel alive, on a higher vibration, confident, like a leader, full of possibility, love. Great relationships, Career Results… it’s all on the table.
It’s really more profound than possible to articulate.

My experience with Atlas Project has…
My experience with Atlas Project has been the most transformational experience of my life. I challenged myself at every turn and came out stronger and self aware. The life long friends that I have made and the leadership skills that I have created are priceless of its own!! I would recommend Atlas Project 10 times over!!
Did this postpartum and it changed my whole family
If you’re wondering when a good time is, it’s Now. As a new mother I was feeling all the things that come with that, loneliness, resentment, lack of support and a lot of newness. My sister had shared the atlas website with me and I decided to go. I was 6 weeks post partum and waited and waited thinking I can’t do it. At 4 months I signed up. I didn’t know how childcare would work or how I would do it while breastfeeding but I’m grateful I did. I expected I would go into healing areas of myself. What happened was I got to dive deep to heal myself and it transformed my relationship with my husband, family, friends, work and community. I feel whole and one with myself and I am a better wife, mother, family member, friend, and human because of it. On top of that my body feels free. My hip and back pain went away along with the tension I was having in my entire body. I honestly am in awe of how quickly this transformation happens. After first weekend I was skipping - when 3 days before my body felt so heavy from the baby weight gain and bodily pain. I didn’t realize how much I was holding inside my body that got to be released. I’m forever in gratitude for the support and guidance and to saying yes to loving myself enough to do this for myself and my family. The magic happened the moment I chose myself. I have been in healing work before and I have to say I started this 5 months ago and life has not stopped being colorful again.
My Atlas Journey: A Legacy of Heart, Power, and Relentless Impact
My Atlas Journey: A Legacy of Heart, Power, and Relentless Impact
From the moment I stepped into Atlas, I knew this journey wasn’t just about personal growth...it was about unlocking the boundless potential within me to transform lives. I dove in with passion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to SHOW UP, not just for myself, but for every heart that crossed my path. I embraced every stretch, every breakdown, and every breakthrough, allowing vulnerability to guide me and courage to push me beyond my limits.
Atlas taught me that leadership isn’t about titles...it’s about standing in the fire, holding space for others, and creating ripples of possibility that extend far beyond what I can see. I learned that fear and growth cannot coexist, and that living powerfully means choosing vision over comfort, impact over excuses, and LOVE over everything.
I didn’t just walk this journey...I ran, I soared, and I ignited the fire in others. I showed up relentlessly for my ATX10 Family, poured love into every message, held hearts high, and gave everything I had to make sure no one was left behind. Whether it was raising money for the 22q Community, supporting Foster Village with heart and connection, or standing boldly for the people...I lived FULLY, I LED POWERFULLY, and I LOVED DEEPLY.
As I reflect, I know this isn’t the end. This is just the beginning of a life where I KEEP MOVING FORWARD, anchored in purpose, driven by passion, and ready to create an even greater impact. Atlas didn’t just change me...it revealed the leader I was always meant to be. And now, I’m unstoppable.
19 of 28 things I have created in my life because of Atlas
I’ve got about a list of 28 things that I’ve created through the process of Atlas . Here are a couple of them.
I think number one was social anxiety. It has gone from 100 to like 20.
The other thing is positive thoughts every day, gratitude, joy, excitement, inspiration
The ability to come up with a vision, come up with a dream and know that in my heart of hearts I can make it happen
Tangibly, I’ve lost 15 pounds and was able to have discipline enough to get up at 4 AM every day to go to the gym eat properly get enough sleep
Also, I realized that I am capable of juggling multiple major priorities
I also realized that I have gifts. I realized that creativity is one of my biggest gifts
I also realized that I don’t give out enough love, enough appreciation for everyone around me
I also realized that there’s 1000 ways to do something and if I’m stuck in my project plan and the way I think it should be done, I miss out on the possibility that what I thought would happen is actually a lot less than what actually could happen.
I realized that I play small and I’m capable of major major things.
I created confidence in myself, which I never had before. I never even understood what confidence felt like.
Tangibly, my voice has changed completely. I have a more deeper, calm, collected, confident voice.
I realize that people love me and know deeply why they love me
I created more open conversation with my parents and my family and my brother. I understand my brother at a deeper level. And I’m capable of having deep meaningful beautiful conversations.
I realized that I have leadership capability, and that I can bring that to work, and have brought it to work . I brought my work colleagues together and created a space where we support one another, and we joke, laugh, and talk freely.
I speak up at meetings. It’s really interesting to see how hesitant people are to participate in meetings and through Atlas I realized that when I withhold information during a meeting, it’s not only taking away from me it’s taking away from everyone in the meeting.
I realized that I am inspirational to people. I have the power to inspire. And with this inspiration I can lift people.
I also have the power to shift out of bad moods . Whenever I’m having a bad day, I have the tools and the community to respond to life’s events in a way that is conducive to my future and what I want created in my life
I’m so grateful for atlas
And I also realize that no one is perfect and life is a journey and I’m excited to continue on this journey and stay close to the work, and contribute to my fellow Atlas members that follow and contribute to my community and contribute to organizations that help the world
I redesigned my life!!!
I redesigned my life. I am celebrating accomplishing my goals! Atlas Project has provided me with the best tools to define and live the life I dream of. Was it difficult?absolutely!! Was it worth it?? Without a doubt,YES!!!!!
I walked in with 46 years of experiences that I did not realize were shaping and guiding my life, only to learn how to understand and reframe the limiting beliefs I unconsciously place on actions.
A true reconciliation with myself for myself. I gained a true sense of freedom! The feeling of being seen and heard.
I am grateful for the Leaders that continue to facilitate these training.
100% recommend
Atlas has truly been one of the best things to happen to my life. It has given me the tools to understand myself on a deeper level and taught me how to communicate and lead with empathy and confidence. Through atlas I have healed my relationships and have met some of the greatest people who will be forever friends. Cannot express enough how truly grateful I am to have been given this opportunity.
Immensely Valuable Experience
Attending the Atlas class was truly a transformative experience that exceeded all of my expectations. From start to finish, the training was thoughtfully designed to provide participants with practical tools, actionable insights, and deep personal growth opportunities. Whether you are a seasoned leader looking to refine your skills or someone new to the world of self-improvement, this class offers something invaluable for everyone.
The course structure was both comprehensive and highly engaging. One of the standout features of this training was the interactive nature of the sessions. The opportunities for collaboration and peer feedback were invaluable in helping me see my strengths and areas for improvement. Perhaps the most profound aspect of the training was the focus on self-awareness and personal growth. The facilitators encouraged us to reflect deeply on our values, beliefs, and behaviors, helping us uncover blind spots and limiting patterns that might be holding us back.
If you’re considering this training, I cannot recommend it highly enough. This isn’t just another seminar or workshop—it’s a transformative experience that equips you with the skills, mindset, and confidence to become the best version of yourself. Whether you’re looking to lead a team, inspire others, or simply grow as an individual, this class will give you the tools to succeed.
Atlas Project Training is Efficacious
This organization is one of few that I have ever experienced that sticks to its mission and vision of transforming leaders. Everyone is genuinely welcome to fully participate in the training. I enjoyed the energetic training environment. I have not been in an environment where people from such different life experiences collaborate so seamlessly to achieve individual goals and results.
The curriculum is sound and the experiential activities offer remarkable opportunities for growth, awareness, and healing on an individual and collective basis. Initially I thought this type of training may only be best for 20-30 year old business leaders. I was happy to see that I gained so much from the training that I was able to apply in my marriage, parenting, healing, and growth during professional and personal transitions in my life. The trainers are passionate, vetted, credentialed and experienced.
amazing experience
Atlas was offered to me at the most difficult time in my life. Saying yes to the opportunity was the most impactful thing I have ever done. Going into this training with an open mind and heart has changed my life forever. I have met the most amazing, loving and accepting people.
I am forever grateful to the one who invited me and those that supported me through the Atlas training. My words cannot articulate the heartfelt feelings I have for this training and what it will do for everyone who is willing to be open their hearts to it. With the support and the tools I learned. I was able to reconnect with me and my worth. Our world will be transformed one soul at a time.
Before Atlas life was going by
Before Atlas, life was going by and taking me with it. I was a passenger in my own life, going nowhere fast. Plagued with anxiety that kept me self sabotaging, running from relationships, avoiding pain, responsibility, and being seen. What I found through Atlas was a clean shiny mirror that reflected back to me who I had become, and then gave me the tools to choose differently. Atlas changed my life and I’m forever grateful to have been offered this gift. Atlas is a game changer, a beautiful experience that I will treasure forever. Everybody gets to go!
The atlas project has truly changed my…
The atlas project has truly changed my life forever. As a “successful” (this word varies in meaning so much but with a great career, supporting myself solo in every aspect of my life) young adult who’s attended many leadership trainings, I was introduced to this project about a year ago and attended my training in September, recently completing it. I learned things about myself I never imagined and have now successfully pushed all of the obstacles I was putting infront of myself out of my way to reach my goals. I would recommend this self development, emotional intelligence training to everyone - any age, any life point. It has truly been remarkable to see how much I’ve grown in so many aspects of my life in 4 short months. Thank you, Atlas Project.
Being a female combat veteran
Being a female combat veteran, I was living with intense PTSD, anxiety, depression for years. After going through The Atlas Project, I am now living with a new perspective on life. I am excited for all the possibilities I am able to create for myself and my family. Love and connections with true friends has supported me in having almost no anxiety episodes, depression has been kicked out of daily life, PTSD is not so severe anymore. Thank you, Atlas Project, for being a light in the dark world I once lived in!!! I am forever grateful!!
Finding Freedom: How The Atlas Project Transformed My Life
The Atlas Project has completely transformed my life! This is not just a leadership training program—it’s a deep dive into self-discovery, empowerment, and living life at its fullest potential. Since completing the program, my life has skyrocketed in ways I never imagined possible.
After Atlas, I published a book, earned a huge promotion, and then leveraged that promotion to exponentially increase my income with an even better position. But it wasn’t just about career success—the tools I gained from this program allowed me to break toxic generational cycles that had plagued my family for years. I’ve created close, authentic connections with my adult children and reconnected with family members on a deep and meaningful level.
For the first time, I’m able to share my faith in God without fear or feeling like a hypocrite weighed down by childhood trauma and old generational patterns. I’ve found a sense of freedom and alignment that has given my faith a new vibrancy and authenticity.
Most importantly, I now feel alive—excited about my life and my future in a way I never had before. Before Atlas, I struggled to find joy or purpose. Walking through the doors of the Explorer weekend changed everything. I learned how to identify the root causes of self-limiting beliefs, dismantle them, and step out of victimhood and into true freedom.
If you’re ready to step into the life you’ve always dreamed of, with the confidence and clarity to make it happen, I can’t recommend The Atlas Project enough. It’s not just a program—it’s the catalyst for the life you were meant to live.
Do you want to change your life?
Do you want to change your life?
It’s one of the simplest questions I have ever asked myself, but one of the most challenging journeys I have ever undertaken.
That was how my Atlas experience began, with that simple question. From the moment I answered yes, I have never regretted my decision.
I was looking for that extra 10% in my life, 10% more success in my career, which I had few complaints about, 10% extra in my personal relationships, most of which were already fulfilling and 10% for me, just me. More joy, gratitude and peace for myself.
I found all of those things throughout my Atlas journey and the beauty of Atlas is that you get to share the journey with others, you celebrate victories together and stand side by side with them when challenges arise. The leaders and coaches of Atlas are some of the kindest hearted and most giving people I have ever had the good fortune of meeting, they were integral in having me really openly and honestly look at myself and the type of person I was and helped me see realise the type of person I wanted to be. They supported me in changing my life.
Since my time in the Atlas program I have realized more success in my career and am now engaged to the most amazing woman I have ever met. I find much more appreciation and peace than I ever did before.
I cannot promise a smooth path, the journey is not always easy and if I’m honest, there were times I questioned myself.
But there is a reason for that, just as the saying goes, ‘Nothing worthwhile is ever easy’.
So the question is simple, Do you want to change your life?
