I joined AFL and their Commercial…
I joined AFL and their Commercial Conversions Academy. Although the knowledge is offered it merely scratches the surface of what is actually required to carry out such a project. I had a particular gripe with confusion over my expiry date (as i paused for personal reasons) and then i found i was deleted from the whatsapp group and not offered any explanation at all. Just email to say please rejoin and pay! I dont find this good value for money and i have subsequently discovered far better mentorships that do.

When an academy membership is placed on pause, access to the associated training resources, including the WhatsApp community, is also paused until the membership is reactivated. A Money Scheme
I booked for a 3 days bootcamp but decided it is not for me because of the piling costs. There is a pattern to it which I recognise. It is not for me.
Jessica who asked me to call her if I have any problems is refusing to answer her calls nor emails.
Then a threat of a £200+ VAT if you do not attend, which I was not told at the time of paying the 597 appeared from nowhere. Very underhand. What kind of courses forces you to turn up if you change your mind?
I have a 2 weeks window to cancel under UK consumer laws but it would appear they do not adhere to that. From all indications, this course is similar to free courses ran conveniently in central London.
Now even getting there is proving to be a headache as the venue is Brentwood, which is not central nor near where I live. I would either have to spend £250+ to be in a hotel or drive all the way there daily after the 9pm close. Just a nightmare I did not bargain for.

To clarify the timeline of events, you purchased your bootcamp with us on 27/06/26 and was onboarded by Jessica on 29/06/26. At the end of this call we were unable to secure your bootcamp dates as you had to double check dates, travel, timing etc. Therefore, we picked up the conversation again on 09/07/26, 12 days later.
During this second call you had confirmed your bootcamp dates for July. On the same call we explained the moving fee — this covers the cost we're charged by the venue per attendee once dates are locked in, which applies whether or not someone attends. This was explained to you before you confirmed your dates, not after.
Two hours later you had emailed in asking for a refund. During this process you spoke with our team handling the info@ email address, Jessica and Samuel - there was no refusal to communicate with you, no attempt to withhold your payment, and nothing underhand about how this was handled. The refund was processed in full with no delays.
Furthermore, our bootcamps attract clients from all over the UK. We have found that the Brentwood venue offers the best learning experience with amazing transport options, without the hustle and bustle of London.
Ultimately, the bootcamp was not for you - it's a shame that you were unable to experience it. The courses which you compared us to are not comparable offerings. Our bootcamp is a paid, structured programme with far more value than is reflected in its price. Free introductory sessions elsewhere serve a different purpose and cannot be measured against a paid course on the same terms.

Learned so much about commercial conversion within the 3 day bootcamp. Trainer is very knowledgeable, experienced, transparent and great in mentoring. Also learned about managing and multiplying wealth which is very important because there is not point in making money if we don’t know how to manage and protect it.
