Stay away from these rude and shameless amateurs
When describing my recent experience with Askari.ch only one word comes to mind: disaster. Stay away and you will save a lot of your time and money. A brief description:
- ordered a fishing rod on the 25th of December, item shown as "available" on their website
- Paid by bank transfer and on Jan 2nd my order was shown on their website as "Sent"
- I don't know what was sent where, but finally I received the rod on the 14th of January, so delivery of an "available" item took 2 weeks! Never seen anything like that before
- The rod they sent was wrong - I ordered heavier variant, received lighter one. I called Askari customer service to find out how to deal with the situation. Talking to the customer service felt like calling an unemployment office in DDR times - unfriendly and prescriptive as if it was my fault that they sent a wrong item (and spent 2 weeks doing it). Apologies? Never heard of such thing. In the end their customer service instructed me to send the rod back paying the postage out of pocket and submitting the receipt for reimbursement
- I immediately sent the rod back and submitted the receipt only to be informed that processing will take "2-3 weeks". For what?
- After more than 3 weeks of silence I contacted Askari again via email and was informed that they did not receive anything and I have to investigate with the Post. I contacted the Post and of course the parcel was delivered 25 days ago!
- After I had a proof of delivery and send that to Askari, they immediately "found" my return and reimbursed, but deducted CHF 13, which was a promotion for free delivery that was ongoing when I ordered. They also did not reimburse the postage, meaning I did not get anything, but lost CHF 22 and tons of my time! Essentially they made me pay twice for shipment of wrong item back and forth!
Shameless amateurs, nothing else. Stay away.
