Subject: Final Notice Before Legal Proceedings – Non-Attendance & Defective Paint Complaint

Dear Sir,

This is in continuation of our earlier complaints dated [insert dates], lodged through your official grievance portal regarding defective paint supplied to Fintech Buildings Private Limited, Sector 1.

Despite:
• Submission of detailed complaint with photographic evidence,
• Lodging of a second complaint due to non-response,
• Repeated reminders,

we have received no meaningful action except a casual local phone call inquiring about the issue. No representative has visited the site. No inspection has been conducted. No written response has been provided.

Such indifference from a company of your stature is both unexpected and unacceptable.

The defective paint has resulted in:
• Surface deterioration
• Financial implications
• Rework risk
• Reputational impact on our company

We hereby issue this as a final notice demanding:
1. Site inspection by an authorised technical officer within 7 days.
2. Written explanation for delay.
3. Rectification / replacement / compensation.

Failing compliance within 7 days of receipt of this notice, we shall proceed with:
• Filing complaint before the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission,
• Initiating legal proceedings under applicable laws,
• Claiming damages including litigation costs and interest.

This communication may be treated as a final opportunity to resolve the matter amicably.

Yours sincerely,
Atul Nahata

STAY AWAY: A Nightmare Experience with Sleek / Asian Paints

STAY AWAY: A Nightmare Experience with Sleek / Asian Paints - Kolkata

I am currently forced to pursue legal action through Consumer Court due to the sheer negligence and deficiency of service from the Sleek / Asian Paints team. If you value your time, money, and sanity, do not hire them for your kitchen project.

They sell you a dream during the design phase, collect the full project amount upfront, and then deliver a disorganized nightmare.

The Reality of My Experience:

Massive 60-Day Delay: The promised delivery date was missed by nearly two months. Every "new deadline" they provided was just another empty assurance with zero accountability.

Amateur Planning & Execution: Despite the professional sales pitch, the execution was a disaster. My "custom" kitchen felt like pre-set modules forced into a space they didn't fit. This resulted in significant wasted usable space and wooden panels that had to be re-cut on-site because the initial measurements were completely inaccurate.

Total Disruption & Collateral Damage: My kitchen remained unusable for weeks, causing immense stress. Beyond the kitchen itself, I suffered damage to my bathroom fittings and bedroom paint, wasted Livepure subscriptions, and food spoilage.

Zero Ownership from Management: Following up with this team is a full-time job. Customer care ignores emails, and senior management is conveniently "on holiday" or simply unavailable when issues arise. Not a single person has taken ownership of this mess.

Personal Toll: Due to their incompetence, my daily life was severely disrupted, and most distressingly, I was unable to host my parents as planned.

Bottom Line: This has been a masterclass in professional negligence and mental harassment. Save yourself the legal fees, the financial loss, and the headache—take your business elsewhere. Sleek / Asian Paints is quick to take your money but incapable of delivering a finished product.

Mis communication, lack of cooperation and a complete fraud.

The company has a complete mismanagement instead of sending waterproofing experts, the company sends contractors who spoils the work, takes money and then company also don’t help. Worst waterproofing services provided in Udhampur(Jammu and Kashmir) by Asian Paints Painter Naushad. The painter has done the fraud spoiled whole waterproofing process as found in the investigation report but the company supported him and didn’t help me.
The company despite of mailing and complaining on the daily basis at customer care didn’t rectify my work nor refunded my amount.
The company executives along with the contractors are involved in duping the hard earned money of the customers.
So, never take waterproofing services from this company. Very bad experience.

Choosing Asian Paints' Beautiful Homes was a mistake

Choosing Asian Paints' Beautiful Homes Service was one of the worst decisions I've made. From the design stage to execution, I faced issues at every step.

Timeline Failure
They initially committed to completing the project within 90 days. Even with a 15-day grace period, we expected everything to be done within 4 months. We handed over the project in October 2024, which means it should’ve been completed by end of February 2025.
It’s April 2025 now, and only 60% of the work is done. 40% is still pending, and we have no clue when it will be finished.

1. Design Process
They created the initial designs using their proprietary software. Unfortunately, they frequently had internet issues, which slowed things down. Then, mid-way through the project, they discontinued their 3D design software, which meant we couldn't make any changes or visualize new ideas. Thankfully, most of the final decisions had already been made, but it was incredibly limiting and unprofessional.

2. Quotation Issues
By December 2024, the design phase was (delayed but) done. Ideally, work should've begun by 15th January 2025, and the project should’ve wrapped by mid-March. But the quotation phase became another nightmare.

I had to go through every item and price manually.

Their initial quote had an 8-lakh discrepancy—even after we added 4–5 lakhs worth of extra items, there was still a mismatch of 3–4 lakhs.

It took almost a month to settle on a final amount.

Then, 15 days later, they suddenly informed us of a "double discount error" and demanded an extra 2 lakhs. At that point, we were too deep into the process to back out.

They offered a small compensation, but honestly, time was money—we were still paying rent while waiting for our home to be done.

By 27th February, the quotation finally got settled. Two months lost just in quotation! During this period, they kept saying they'd increase workforce to finish by April end—but in the work order, they quietly slipped in a May-end deadline.

3. Execution Failures
Even basic execution was poor. One example:
We had designed pull-out drawer beds. The bed’s height came out to just half a foot. I’ve never seen a bed that low!
In their 2D plans, it was also shown incorrectly, but it’s difficult to catch such details in 2D. We raised this issue multiple times before construction, but the response was always, “The structure is already made; can’t be changed.”
In reality, they could've simply swapped 3 planks, which they could reuse elsewhere. But unless they’re the ones initiating a change, they won’t support you. You're expected to compromise.

It’s 11th April today, and I’ve completely lost hope. They claim they’ll finish by end of May, but I seriously doubt it.

This project has drained us mentally, financially, and emotionally. I wouldn’t recommend Asian Paints Beautiful Homes Service to anyone looking for a smooth or professional experience.

If you want great customer service ask for Mr Waruna. My customer service experience with AP…

My customer service experience with AP was very satisfactory. This was all thanks to Mr Waruna, who took note of my first time application problems.
He sent his technical guys who identified the problem. He got quotes from a contractor and then sent his supervisors to monitor the whole re-painting process.
All my phone calls and messages were replied to immediately, even on Sundays!!
All the Asian Paints staff were very helpful as I don't speak Sinhalese.
I will definitely recommend Mr Waruna's service to any paint job you are considering.
