Ashworth College Reviews 

Hi. I completed the Diploma in Forensic Science in 2017 through Ashworth College. I work in the field of law enforcement in NSW Australia and wanted to supplement my existing knowledge. The course content was outstanding and staff were very helpful. For those who are outside the U.S. and are considering Ashworth College, the accreditation through DEAC is genuine and the college is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. My diploma qualification was accepted by my employer without hesitation and added to my personnel file.

It was convenient for me while at Ashworth to study and work. I liked the idea of paying my school fees in small installments and receiving my textbooks at the same time.
You needed to have some level of personal discipline as teacher impact will not be the same as a conventional classroom setting.

Unfortunately, with all of the competition out there in the online education world, Ashworth is turning out to be nothing special. First, it takes an unnecessary length of time for them to send coursework materials, and upon reading through their student portal chat rooms, this is a very common practice. Major disappointment for the fast-paced student. In addition to that, they have a few folks on their support team who can be a little "snarky" or clever at the mouth. A surprise I'll mention, was the assignment of the ever elusive professor. To be frank, there seems to be no professor at all, so why mention one, period? Shrug. Now, because 3 stars is obviously better than 1 star, I will note that you can work at your own pace, fast or slow...once you finally receive your textbook. ;)

Overall, I'd say, this is definitely a great online school for those who just need access to practical coursework, a user-friendly interface, and content that mostly gets right to the point. However, to those with higher standards and seeking accurate, more reliable, up-to-date information, you should definitely do your research and compare the numerous options out there. Let me start off by saying this I started off at James Madison High School and graduated at 15 years old I was highly impressed with the course work and how it was presented. I then decided to go back and I chose to go to Ashworth College for my Pre-Law certificate. I graduated with that still at 15. The education that I had did not open up any doors not because of the accreditation but because of my age. At 16 I will be graduating not only with my CDA certificate but my associates in criminal justice. Now at 16 I have my CNA, QMA, and my EMT license. I now work for a privet EMT service to the public I have also just graduated with my Medical Transcript license although it was not from Ashworth I would recommended anyone to this school good people there! See you Ashworth 2019!

Hi, I completed the Diploma in Forensic Science with Ashworth College. I found the student portal very user friendly and the coursework was always easy to follow. All textbooks were provided and mailed to me in a timely manner and staff were very helpful. I live in Australia so I communicated mostly by email, which they responded to promptly.

I am now thinking of enrolling in their Associate Degree in Psychology. I would gladly recommend Ashworth College to my friends, associates and family.

Made all my payments, ive been busy with work and havent been able to do my studies. Today I finally able to work on it, log in and find out I have to pay another $95 for an extension??? That just puts a foul taste in my mouth and I guess I just wasted my money paying for this course. Not recommend to anyone!!

I have taken many courses via Ashworth and been happy with them.

The school is DEAC Accredited and not Regionally Accredited, so that may be an issue for people wanting Government jobs. But otherwise the accreditation is good. Plus, Regionally, Nationally, DEAC, and Christian Accreditation will ALL state that they are the best and one will always state that it's superior than the other. (Think of it as a sort of competition, but there are no weak players. They are all good.) The key is to check and see what accreditation is required by the employer where you want to work. Most business degrees will not matter (just as long as they have some kind of accreditation) unless you plan to work for the government who specifically require Regionally accredited degrees. If you want to be a teacher or policeman - you'll need a Regionally accredited degree. Just an FYI... Otherwise, check with the place where you'll be working or college that you want to transfer credits to to make sure they'll be accepted. This is YOUR responsibility, not the schools.

I really enjoy taking classes via Ashworth. They are affordable and everyone is nice. I like the online classes but I wish they also still did correspondence as well.

The only complaint that I have is that you cannot downgrade your enrollment in a Bachelors Degree program back to an Associates. I think that if you are enrolled in a B.A. or B.S. program and haven't even finished the Associates part of it, that they should let you roll it back if you choose. I should not be told that I cannot do this when I am the one choosing my educational path and how/where I want to spend my money.

If I could give less than one star I would. I was lied to right from the start and given incorrect information when I enrolled. Didn't finish one lesson or receive any materials. Had such a hard time getting any response by email or getting tickets answered. Cancelled 3 weeks later and they stole 20% of my tuition which was paid in full. In the process of filing a complaint.

I work construction and I only had my weekends free, and when I was experiencing trouble with my lesson and needed help their were NO help available to me their were absolutely NO instructors to help me at all, so a one year locksmithing course took me two years to complete because I had to complete it totally on my own without NO help from this college at all and they only aloud me one year to complete the course, and I wasn't done yet plus they even charged me extra money for the year extension,, I feel they should at least have a live person to help you on the weekends.. so I would "NOT" recommend this college to anyone, because god help you if you only have your weekends free, because you can't speak to anyone ,,, they only had a live person to talk to Monday through Friday,, and on the weekends forget it your on your own..

I took the gunsmithing course and maybe I don't have all the information but there is no communication or help offered to inspire me to go and get some working experience since all that is offer her is theory.

Most schools have some kinda of job placement or something to that affect to help students get a job using the knowledge they acquired or is that only reserved your degreed programs?
I am grateful for the knowledge (the books and a set of screwdrivers) but at the same time I'm disappointed in the practical knowledge, as it is right now I'm never going to work on a gun unless it's mine (lack of experience).

First, I wouldn't trust a gunsmith w/ no experience to work on my 5 or 6 hundred dollar firearm, make it even worst I'm a black man living in the northeast who wants to learn to work on guns..."something must be wrong with him" because the ole boys club can't have that.

I enjoyed my educational experience with Ashworth and would recommend it to anyone who needs the flexibility of pairing work with school at your own pace.

Loved learning through Ashworth College! The counselors are always there to help. The lessons are convenient and easy to understand. I hghly recommend Ashworth College.

Ashworth College is a better place to study and advance in your career because; the care for students and recommend learning materials that are right for the studies. Apart from this, they always available to answer your questions. I did enjoy taking the Pharmacy Technician Course with them. I graduated from the college, and I am thankful for Ashworth College.
