AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! In owning 8 houses over 24 years, I’ve never worked with such a dishonest and unethical company as ARW is. They create plans with terms and conditions so restrictive that very few people can comply in breakdown situations, and the reviews reinforce my experience. For us it began with purchasing a warranty and finding out the pool wasn’t covered. We called on a recorded line and made sure to add the pool coverage that was missed. Then the pool heater breaks down. We file a claim and are told there is no coverage, of course after charging us the “claim processing fee.” They apologized and were happy to add it but still required the 30 days wait and refused to cover the pool heater that would have been covered had their employee done his job. Nope… he was new and made an error but the terms and conditions still apply. I paid to add the coverage and purchased a $4500 heater. Then we have our a/c go out in July. Paid the processing fee and the no name vendor they used selected some unknown person after person with appointments rescheduled over 3 weeks away. I inquired about using my own provider. They said yes sent a laundry list of items needed to use my own provider. I followed every step and the claim was denied due to fine print interpretation that did not align with what the technician actually said was wrong. I had to pay for the repair out of pocket. Of course they kept my fee again with zero reimbursement. Most recently our furnace went out in the middle of New England winter. Since ARW does not have any HVAC providers in the area willing to accept their calls, I went back and followed every step of the process to use my own provider. The blower motor failed and is obsolete requiring the entire hydronic air handler and a/c to be replaced for $13,000. The policy limit is $1,500. Pretty cut and dry that coverage exists regardless of when I notified them. Sent in all the details with pictures of the failed unit. Claim denied again because I allegedly didn’t notify them before the work was done. Uh, yeah, because my water lines were already frozen and it needed to be done asap. I did, however, provide every detail needed to determine coverage. Again, ARW is a scam organization that works to find every reason to deny reasonable claims. Do not purchase. They are rooted in taking advantage of people in the most vulnerable times of need. To further the chuckle, they sold us water and sewer line protection too as part of the package” but we have well and septic. Despicable!
Edit: ARW’s responses are canned and disingenuous as shown in reviews. No backdating was offered or coverage would have been extended as the original wait period had come and gone. They are not learning anything other than profiting from unreasonable practices.

After second thoughts, I tried to cancel the service and they made it very difficult - transferring me multiple times and putting me long waits. They say they have cancelled so I will see - would not send a confirming email. Very suspicious- Good companies should not treat customers this way. Glad I disengaged before having a worse experience.

American Home Shield is the worst Warrantycompany! They sent 3 different companies to try to fix my 6 year old Samsung Refrigerator. To know point hasn’t been fixed from 11/23/25-1/9/2026 they keep sending Different SO CALL SENIOR TECH THAT DONT KNOW ANYMORE THAN THE OTHER PERSON OR COMPANY.
Tech IMFORMERD ME THE REFRIGERATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED TO KNOW OF VAIL ITS NOT REPLACED YET. My NEXT OPTION CHANNEL 8 on YOUR SIDE AND REPORT AHS COMPANY.

Horrible company. No follow up on the techs they chose. Almost 4 weeks without a fridge. Two techs either didn’t show up or never came to do repairs after telling me they would be back in a day or two with parts. ARW never followed up with me or techs to see if job was being done. I called them every couple days to see when work would be done. They tell me to be patient. Kept telling me I had to wait 24 to 48 hours to get response. Don’t waste your money with this company. Very aggravating and felt like I was totally ripped off.

Please don't use this company. I put in for a leak. They sent out a handyman not a plumber. The handyman didn't have a clue what to look for. Didn't turn on any water to verify my leak. He stated it could be from the roof. That when the red flags was raised because we had no rain in the last ten days. The handyman sent in the report that it could be from the roof. I myself found the leak and reported it to ARW. They told me to get a plumber at my own expense to verify and prove where the leak is coming from. I spent $600 dollars to have a plumber come out. He verified the leak and took pictures. Now I have a hole in my wall where the plumber had to cut to find the leak. I sent in all the information like ARW told me to do. I been waiting over an week with excuses. Ask to speak to a supervisor and they said the supervisor was busy. Pay for a warranty every month and they make excuses on not honoring my warranty. I seen where several other customers had the same complaints. This company shouldn't be in business. This company is a complete rip off.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with ARW and the service provider they assigned to repair my heating unit. The technician from Broomfield HVAC ordered an incorrect circuit board and failed to verify that the unit was not delivering the proper voltage to the pressure pump. When questioned, he attributed the issue to the thermostat, claiming it was different from his initial visit—even though the change was only a cover and the thermostat was fully compatible.
Following this, ARW denied coverage for any damage to my HVAC unit based on the technician’s report. As a result, I chose to cancel my policy and transition to another company that I hope will demonstrate greater professionalism and integrity.

Actually we have had this insurance for about 8 years we made our very first claim two weeks ago on the water heater they refused to cover it and only offered us 300 and some odd dollars and told us it would cost over $1,000 to get it fixed so we got it fixed ourselves for $550 I am still waiting for the $300 check that they promised us my review to them is they worth anything they don't keep to their word at all Terry Pratt
