What an amazing company to engage. Carn (the owner) is just what you hope for when taking on a builder. His level of workmanship, attention to detail, kind and thoughtful manner all match his perfectionist attitude to every task.
He did such a brilliant job in totally building an external pottery workshop and utility room for us, we engaged him again straight away for an oak and brick enclosed porch.
He is always punctual, works extremely hard through all weather (Feb to May) and always with a cheery smile or a chuckling laugh.
His pricing was extremely clear and transparent, with a detailed breakdown of costs and was extremely competitive.
If you want a highly skilled, hard working builder who puts the customer first, then Carn is your guy.

Excellent workmanship carried out efficiently. Projects started with a lean to extension involving concrete flooring, walling and roof. This was completed on time and within budget. We are so pleased with the high standard of work carried out that we have asked Arcus to carry out further work for us, including plastering, stone tiling, paving works and replacement of gutters. Very trustworthy, reliable and honest.

We contacted Arcus Bricklaying and Building following a recommendation from a friend. We had some renovation ideas that we wanted a professional opinion on and were really impressed by their knowledge. We hired them to carry out the renovation work which is now complete and will be asking them back to quote our extension later this year. We are happy to have found Arcus!

Arcus Building carried out extensive remodelling of our townhouse front garden. It’s a confined space and was an awkward job which required substantial excavating of the old concrete and subsoil before rebuilding terraced brick retaining walls and the boundary walls, and removing, re-laying and tiling the broken concrete path.
Carn was thorough in everything he did; he contributed sound ideas to the plan, and suggested improvements that made a big difference to the finished result. He showed great attention to detail (proper drainage, etc), always turned up on time, was easy to get on with and respectful of the property and the disruption to neighbours. The result was better than I imagined it could be, and I would definitely approach Arcus Building again for future building work.

Arcus Bricklaying and Building carried out some internal alterations of bedrooms and a bathroom and I was really pleased with the finished result. They were polite and reliable and worked fast to produce a high standard quality finish.
I will be using Arcus again for future work as they seem highly skilled and their very pleasant and honest attitude made me feel nothing was too much trouble which made all the difference.
