Knowledgeable and professional technicians

The technician who most recently came to my house to do the periodic application to control pests was very knowledgeable and professional about the application process and how it would work.

Not Worth the Cost

I would agree with the consensus of reviews, but I would add one key factor -- for all the time and money invested, there is really no change in the amount of bugs & spiders in and around my house. I would be better off with a can of Raid.

The Positives:
Responsive Re-treatments: I'm generally pleased with the company's willingness to send technicians back out for free targeted spot treatments between scheduled visits if a pest problem persists.

Professional Technicians: Individual technicians are generally polite, knowledgeable, and thorough when applying treatments around the home's exterior.

Eco-Friendly Focus: The company's use of botanical-based and environmentally conscious pest solutions is frequently highlighted as a major benefit, but it's not as effective.

The Criticisms:
Aggressive Sales Tactics: A major source of frustration stems from Aptive's door-to-door sales teams. Critics frequently cite high-pressure sales pitches, ignored "no soliciting" signs, and aggressive door-knocking habits.

Hidden Fees and Contracts: Numerous complaints detail unexpected early termination fees (often around $199), automated renewals, and binding multi-year contracts that customers claim were not disclosed to them during the sign-up process.

Scheduling and Billing Issues: Reviewers on Yelp and the BBB often report difficulties in canceling services, being billed for missed or uncompleted appointments, and struggling to get in touch with responsive customer support agents.

Product doesn’t work for us

Well, the product does not work for us so as far as product rating I would give one star. I gave 2 stars because customer service has really been trying to work with us however I feel we need to cancel our contract since their product isn’t working. We really wanted it to work.

Better service is needed.

The person must have been new and did not know what I needed. He should have had a record. He came at 7pm, and my son talked with him. My son had to remind him about the bate boxes. He had sprayed, but that was all. All I have is outdoor treatment and for paying $74 a month that does not seem reasonable. When I have to worry about the service and when.

I do not like waiting all day. The company would better serve with at least saying morning or afternoom.

Don’t trust any salesperson from this…

Don’t trust any salesperson from this company. They will lie and sign you up for a subscription service even when you only agreed and signed for a specific set of service dates. They will lie sales rep copied and pasted my signature onto other sections of a contract and forged my initials in other areas. It took me forever to get this cancelled. It’s a scam. The service tech seemed nice enough, but I can’t say their spraying changed anything around the house. I still have to check my credit card to make sure the service is actually cancelled.

The quality of service was marginal

The quality of service was marginal - I really don't think the application service was actually done on each visit. I say that based on seeing how quickly some of applications were completed. The cancellation process also was not friendly at all. The Rep I spoke with to cancel was not good at active listening - and beware of their early termination fee. I personally will not use them again based on their cancellation policies.
