I had an issue with my refrigerator and they serviced it quickly. After the service, the technician was vague about the full price of the fix, and kept asking to pay him $300 over and over. I paid the service call fee. After 3 days, they were still unable to provide me the full cost of the job. Avoid!

STAY AWAY from these scammers!!! I asked for service quote, I specifically indicated the error code that was displayed on my washer , a young lad came out with and unmarked sedan full of people to “inspect “ my washer and provide me with a quote. Stood by my washer NOT EVEN touching it , on his cellphone for 20 minutes and then he says it will cost me $700 to repair this! Did not do any testing on the washer, did not even turned it on!!! On his cellphone phone for 20 minutes!!!! When I declined the service he said I have to pay for visit a $100! I asked him for what? Being on his cellphone for 20 minutes in my home? I have NOT received written quote breakdown of parts and labour but even with that I would have not allowed the dude to touch my machine! Totally unprofessional, no knowledge! These people are scammers, unfortunately found out after reading some reviews! I wouldn’t even wanted to pay the diagnostic fee and if I would have known previous reviews I would have never paid for them! Complete scammers! Don’t make the same mistake, STAY AWAY!!!!

The technicians that came to repair my washer were friendly and efficient. I was told what the problem was and the cost to repair it before they began the repair and they were quite reasonably priced.

My dishwasher had a clogged drain hose and when he was done, I asked how much - he said $240 and I see my Visa was charged $326. Was a 20 min job and on top he gave me no itemized invoice(my fault for not asking). Stay clear of these scammers folks. On top of this, the technician brought his teen son which should have been cleared with me first.

I was charged $282.50 ($250 plus tax) for a washing machine door spring that took only 15 minutes. The technician simply adjusted the door spring with no parts replaced and no complex work done. The invoice shows $250 for labour with vague documentation that just says “fixed the issue” with no technical details. Standard rates in Ottawa for this type of service are $130-220 total, so I was overcharged by approximately $100-150 for basic work that any technician could complete in minutes. The company didn’t provide upfront pricing disclosure and has non-refundable labor charges buried in fine print. They have an F rating from BBB with 178 complaints filed against them. Always get a written quote before allowing any work to begin. This company targets customers who don’t know market rates. A 15-minute spring adjustment should not cost $250. Service date was January 16, 2026, invoice number 26019286. Do not use this company.

This is my first review. I feel compelled to post a review. The technician was to have arrived within a time window. One hour after the time window, I texted to see if the technician was still showing up. I received no response. I did get a bill for the NO SHOW. As well, I have now been threatened by the company's collection department. They should concentrate on service rather than collections.

I got a good technician and came within 2 hours of booking the appointment. He was Russian, and wasn't super friendly, but did a good job. However, he charged me $320 for a LG Drain Pump that should have costed me $55.44 via Appliance PartsPros.com. Wow, 500% mark up!? Also they cost $99 for the diagnostic, unless I accept the job, then the diagnostic is included. For about 1 hour 15 min of work, costed $300. My total bill was $620!! So I called Appliance Repair to complain. Long story short, they hung up on me. Appliance Repair Experts are just a service who looks for jobs and gets paid by vendors. In this case, the Vendor Was: Reliable Appliance Services, Inc. on 324 Coogan Way, El Cajon, CA 92020. I called them and the dispatcher agreed I was overcharged, and should hear from a supervisor tomorrow. I'll see. From a principal standpoint, I'm concerned about others who will get taken advantage of.

Simply put this company are nothing more than scam artists. They will provide prompt attention on the initial visit. Charge you for the initial diagnosis and deposit on replacement parts only never to return. Stay away from this company.

I called Appliance Repair Expert and their tech came to my house on a Sunday to fix my washing machine. Their technician Philip seemed very knowledgeable and was able to fix the issue quickly. He cleaned up the area as well as the washing machine upon the completion of work.

This company did not honor their quote. Changing hoses on a washing machine required two visits, a month apart for which I was charged $200.00 + twice. A request for a detailed invoice identifying labor and parts was not provided, even when requested twice. Customer service is unresponsive. DO NOT hire this company.

This company is the absolute worst and they don't care as American Home Shield (AHS) will keep using them. 5 times the repair person came out and refrigerator is not fixed. Slow leak and tech bolts out the door as soon as done and says working even though have pictures of puddle around refrigerator to prove otherwise. Manager is brain dead. Said fixed as well per tech even though I offered to send pics. Then said let the leak continue until next time until tech arrives - I said so get water all over the kitchen until he arrives - she said yes. Dumbest thing I have ever heard...let water do damage so we have evidence. Never been through a more brutal run around then dealing with them and AHS and problem not fixed. No wonder their phone number ends in 666 - they are the devil!

Technician showed up and tested the speed oven by turning it on. The problem did not present so he confirmed we should continue to use it. The next day the microwave oven stopped working. The problem is it's been 3 days and I still have not had a call back from the company wanting them to return to repair the issue. Basically threw $150 down the drain with these guys. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company if you want decent service.

I am very disappointed with this company. I scheduled a technician to inspect my dishwasher, and he came the same day, identified the issue, and said he would return the following week to complete a simple repair. On the day he was supposed to return, I messaged him asking if he was still coming, and he replied that he would come “tomorrow” — without asking if that worked for me, and without any apology. The next day, he didn’t show up at all. The problem was simple and could have been fixed quickly by a reliable company. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I do not recommend this service.
