Poor experience from this guy, interaction from the first moment negative. All I asked was a price/rough estimate. Basically said doesn’t price jobs remotely and find someone. Absolute pleasure to find someone else asked question from 5/6 different sparkies all gave a rough estimate remotely.
If you don’t know how to deal with potential customers, you shouldn’t be running your own business. Asking a few question isn’t the end of world is it? If you don’t have the patience to answer a couple of questions and literally 5 minutes of your time. Work for someone else.

Thank you for taking the time Nicholas B to leave your review. Fair and constructive criticism is always welcome, and I’m sorry that my approach wasn’t what you were looking for.
The reason I don’t provide quotations or even rough estimates remotely is because, in my experience, every electrical job is different. A quotation is not an estimate, and I don’t believe it’s fair to give figures without first seeing the work involved.
There are several reasons for this. Firstly, providing a rough price without inspecting the job can create false expectations. I may unintentionally quote too high because I have to assume the worst, or too low because important details haven’t been identified. Neither outcome is fair to the customer.
Secondly, no customer can reasonably be expected to know or communicate every variable that can affect the scope of electrical work. What appears to be a simple job can involve factors that only become apparent during an inspection. I’d rather be honest from the outset than give a figure that later has to change.
Finally, quoting remotely assumes that every electrician approaches work in exactly the same way. They don’t. Some may allow less time, use different materials, work to different standards or make different assumptions. My quotations are based on how I personally carry out work, and I won’t compromise that by pricing blindly.
I also don’t believe in the “race to the bottom” on price. That approach too often results in poor workmanship and, in some cases, can even create dangerous outcomes. I price my work fairly, and I believe my customers’ reviews reflect that.
I appreciate that many electricians are happy to give rough estimates over the phone, and if that suited your needs, I genuinely hope you found the right person for your job.
As for your comments about my business, there is a reason I have never received a negative review from a customer whose work I have actually carried out. I work hard, I take pride in what I do, and I carry out every job to the very best of my ability. My customers regularly tell me that my workmanship and attention to detail are well above what they have experienced from the average electrician, which is why I receive so much repeat business and recommendations.
That same commitment to quality is precisely why I don’t quote blindly. I’d rather be accurate, honest and transparent from the outset than tell someone what they want to hear, only for the final price to change later.

Outstanding Electrical Installation
Outstanding and professional electrical installation and if you need any electrical work doing, this is the company to use.
My installation to lay a new supply and install internal wiring to a log cabin, 30+ metres from the house included a number of practical challenges and they were all overcome without any difficulty.
The work was explained in full detail and complied fully with existing regulations. An unforeseen and dangerous fault with the existing supply to the house wiring was identified and corrected - an example of their excellent customer service.
Glen was professional, courteous and hard working and it was a pleasure to have him working in our home. I have no hesitation in giving him the highest possible recommendation for any electrical work.

Hi Omar, I do not know you or any James Barclay. I don’t know why you left this fake review as obviously it was not me or my company who did any work for you.
Firstly I do not have anyone else working for me so can you please explain why you felt the need to wright a bad review for the fictional work and engineer my company was supposed to carry out and employ.
Secondly my Emergency call out fee is £100 for up to the first hour not £120. Work that is booked in and not quoted is £70 for up to the first hour and then £17.50 for up to every 15 minute segment there after but my customers will tell you l very rarely charge the full amount for the time spent on site, this fee is labour only and does not include materials used.
Please remove this slanderous and false review as all my customers will know I take great care in providing a great customer service and product.
You obviously need to take much more care of where you place your reviews, especially false fake reviews .

A real electrician who takes pride in his work.
I saw a recommendation for Glen on the Next-door app and after already having a less than satisfactory experience with trades people from the "Trust a Cowboy" website, I gave him a call. He came, when he said he would, to look at the job that I needed doing. I needed a power supply installed from the house to my shed/workshop. Glen measured up and checked my existing supply's earthing system while explaining in great detail what my options were. I had pretty much decided that I wanted him to do the job within minutes of meeting him, so he said that he would email me with the quote and then order some materials.
We agreed a date and time for him to do the job and he came, once again when he said he would, and the installation was carried out.
I'm retired so I was around most of the time while Glen was busy and he was happy to explain things as he was working. His depth of knowledge and attention to detail as he was working was second to none. He respected my property at all times. He didn't take breaks and didn't complain when I got in the way.
I would not hesitate to ask Glen to carry out any other work in the future and I would happily recommend him to anyone that needed an electrician to do a proper job.

Had an Electrical emergency
Had an Electrical emergency our fuse box had went bang in the night start of Bank Holiday weekend.
Called Glen out the next day, he came to us within the hour on a call out.
Very helpful, explained everything with the tests he did to put my mind at rest to diagnose the fault and fix it.

Glen helped me out at short notice with a full rewire when another electrician had let me down. He did a fantastic job at a fair price only using quality materials and he suggested many improvements on the original requirements avoiding later expensive additions and alterations. We had Glen fix numerous problems with various lights and switches around the house. He also installed new lights and fittings in the kitchen and bathroom. Everything was finished to a very high standard, with very reasonable rates. We are very pleased with his work. He has a brilliant work ethic, is very knowledgeable and also a really nice guy! We won't hesitate to call him again, should we need any more electrical work done.

FANTASTIC SERVICE
We were in the process of having a new kitchen installed when we uncovered very dangerous electrics, we contacted A+Electricals with very short notice Glen came and assessed the job, he brought with him a fantastic professional manner, he explained the requirements and the work needed so that I could understand each stage of the process, the work was carried out to an incredibly high standard.
