I bought a new Discrete 8 Pro. It has a defect on the first 2 HiZ preamps. (There’s a higher noise floor than normal, contains a 500hz tone and is inconsistent throughout both channels. I contacted customer support and got a response fairly quick. We’ve sent about 30 to 50 emails just to get the unit sent out to Bulgaria for repair. Ones it was there, no updates, no contact, nothing. I sent them an email questioning how it was going and he told me it would take about 4 weeks for repair. I waited for weeks and after 4 weeks, they said it was going to take about 4 weeks again. After a lot of emails and asking for updates, out of nothing, they said the unit was repaired and would be sent back to me. After a week, it was still not sent back. So I had to ask wether they we’re going to send it. Then they sent me the track and trace and then it took another week before they actually dropped it off at the parcel point. Then it took another week for delivery. So in total I didn’t have the interface for two months. When I got it back, I tested it and nothing got fixed!! Exactly the same issue persisted and if anything it had some new scratches on the front panel which I couldn’t wipe away. So this really made me mad. I sent them an email again and told them it didn’t got fixed. Then the customer support asked me to tell them AGAIN what the problem is. They asked me to make a video of the problem. After the video, they asked for a recording, after that recording they asked for another recording because they made a mistake with the specs. Now I’m at the point where I have to wait for them to come up with a solution. Customer support said they we’re gonna do some more testing, which I don’t understand because everything is crystal clear.

Overall, this is really bad. It takes me so much time and energy. Even writing this review.

I just don’t understand how they dare to ask me what the issue is and to make videos and recordings after they had the unit there. This shows they don’t have a system they work with. A good customer support and would send a report after repairing. And if they cannot find the issue, they should ask me for more detailed info while they have the unit there. NOT JUST SENDING IT BACK AND TELL ME EXPLICITLY THAT IT HAS BEEN FIXED!! AT LEAST SAY, WE DIDN’T FIX ANYTHING.

I don’t know if I’ll ever buy another Antelope product because this is sad.

Some plugins are very good. But what I don't accept is that I can only use the plugins with an active internet connection. That's a no-go! You (and others) are partly responsible for users resorting to cracks.

I bought a mic that is faulty. Had a screenshare session with support. They agreed to repair or replace after doing some remote tests. They them sent me an email asking for my details for the job file. I sent them. And they did not reply. I have chased three times now. No reply.

　This review comes after over six months of use. First off, the sound quality is exactly as advertised! I've used over ten models from various manufacturers, and this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. It brings back memories of the awe I felt working in studios like Taisho Studio that had Neve gear. Listening to music through Antelope has become a much more enjoyable experience.

　One thing: getting started required online registration at two different sites, which was a bit of a hassle, partly due to my own lack of knowledge. However, Antelope's support staff responded patiently to my repeated inquiries and ultimately resolved the issue remotely. Their level of kindness is exceptional compared to today's typical support standards!

I'll report on the real-time FX, which was my primary goal before purchasing, at a later date.

Serious software issues that are still not addressed. No beta testing, no QA it's a mess. Purchased lots of expensive stuff with a total absence of ANY response from Tech Support. There are better more reliable alternatives on the Mac. Even their website has some serious issues. Staying far away from these guys until they come to their senses.

Misleading free plugin offer and shady account policy

I wanted to share my experience with Antelope Audio. They are currently promoting the MG4 plugin as “free,” but in reality, after registering on their website, you just keep receiving the same email saying you need to log in or register again to claim it — and the loop never ends:). When you log in, there’s still no this plugin, and it can’t be downloaded or activated.

I wouldn’t have any issue with that if they hadn’t clearly written on their website that they’re offering this plugin for free, and then kept repeating the same misleading message in every registration email.

To make things worse, once you create an account on their site, you can’t even delete it afterward.
Overall, this kind of marketing feels very shady, and it completely killed my desire to buy anything from them.

Antelope seems to market features, which are not available. Ok, many companies do, but most of them deliver after some time. Do not believe, that feature is going to be made available. AFX2DAW is such a feature. Never worked, I had multiple sessions with the Support team ("roll back to version xyz and then tell us, whether it works...") - I do not recommend Antelope, even if their features sound brilliant.

Sold me a defective product that broke down two times within a two-year period. I bought this product directly from them but they refused to acknowledge that the product was covered under warranty. Offered a small discount on a new unit and told me they had no spare parts to repair mine.

I purchased the Discrete 4 Pro SC in 2022, which came bundled with 37 free Synergy Core plugins and two small diaphragm Edge Note microphones. And I have never regretted it since then. There were no problems with the drivers on the Windows laptop, and there was no problem with the sound quality, which is top-notch. I have some minor complaints about the functionality of the SCore plugins, which makes them not so versatile, but this has never interfered with work, as long as the computer has its own high-quality plugins. Recently I saw rave reviews of the new model Zen Quadro SC and I envy those users who will buy this model for half the price I paid 3 years ago.

The drivers of my Amari were and continue to be a trash!! who programmed this drivers was an idiot!!!! besides of this Amari sounds excellent AD and DA especially in 384 kHz!

Antelope’s customer support is where it’s at. Anybody I’ve ever talked to from Antelope has always been helpful and they care about their relationships.

A small company that has had mixed reviews in the past has truly persevered into the next era of audio technology. I admire their diligence, even if I have had technical issues in the past. They do get resolved and they listen to their audience. They are one of the few with an active Discord!

I am an Antelope Pro User, and completely stand by that since my endorsement on October 2021. Shout out to Lyubo, Hristo, Stephen, Simon and Todd!

drivers needs to improve.

the afx2daw plugin doesn't work on my mac silicon m2. and it's ridiculous that native plugins are paid for those who have those on dsp. Otherwise the card is one of the best imaginable. excellent ad/da conversion.

The gear I use in my studios around the world is The Antelope Galaxy 32 Synergy Core and I use it because it sounds amazing, it is easy to set up, the rauting is intuitive, it supports Dolby Atmos. Furder more the support at Antelope is pristine.

The mix of Antelope and Voicemeeter drivers is an ongoing difficult experience, with Windows !1, and Protools.

When starting protools, with the Antelope as the playback engine, I rarely have audio, have to restart, start or not start the voicemeeter driver before or after launching protools. The antelope device is not always found, so I need to unplug the thunderbolt cable then reconnect, and its the same withe MRC.

These devices are definitely not plug and play. I would not recommend purchasing Antelope devices on Windows 11, at least not yet.

Also, voicemeeter only support up to 7.1? How can I play Atmos music or movies using the voicemeeter on Windows? I wish I could use the Antelope driver, it's more stable imo.

Apart from that, I love the Control panel, and the sound (although voicemeeter has a click and pop issue in Pro tools).

I have 2 Orion 32+GEN4. Interfaces work fine but there are few minor bugs that assistance was not able to solve. Closing Control panel causes crash on the applications ( MacOs). On every update of the firmware, interface warns " failure to update". Control Panel doesn't remember the last settings and on re-opening shows all available channels, I have to recall manually the last saved session everytime.

Disappointed with Pro Tools Integration – Sample Rate Issue

The Orion 32+ has fantastic converters and incredibly flexible routing. However, my experience with it in a Pro Tools setup via Thunderbolt has been frustrating. Pro Tools simply doesn’t control the sample rate of the interface, making it impossible to switch sessions without manually adjusting settings in the Antelope Control Panel.

This has rendered over €1,000 worth of plug-ins unusable in my workflow — a truly absurd limitation for a high-end interface. I contacted Antelope support, and their reply confirmed it: “Pro Tools does not control sample rate.”

I find this unacceptable for a professional-grade product. I sincerely hope this review reaches someone at Antelope willing to take responsibility and offer a real solution

I had have an amazing experience so far. I think the audio interface should come with native plugins to be able to run in my master channel or single tracks

I am using Antelope Zentour Synergy core and edge solo mic. Using them together allows me to create a variety of powerful sounds. I love Antelope's DA/DA converters. In addition, the DSP function and routing options are flexible, making it the best audio recording system for me.

Antelope Audio gear is great, very good converters, very good clock, very usable preamp, but the customer service have to be more reactive when you have problem with Antelope Audio gear.
