Have had three Anova units for Sous Vide that have failed. Under-engineered in my opinion and very frustrating when you are in the middle of preparing food and they fail. I notice a real reluctance fr... See more

Customer Service nowhere to be found !!!!
Bought their sous vide precision cooker...Excellent product... Ordered peripherals ( Vacuum sealer, bags, etc.) for a Christmas gift...According to their website the products should have arrived well before Christmas... Today is12/26...Still waiting... Customer service is no where to be found...In the age of internet purchasing a great product will only keep you on top until someone has a better one... Great customer service will keep you in the game forever...Wake up guys...Cute messages are insufficient...Customers want accurate information...
All-round very poor customer service…
All-round very poor customer service ordered a present for Christmas, didn't get shipped and customer service was pretty useless. Most annoying thing is that they could have shipped me a product from there Amazon site and it would have arrived here in time. But unfortunately, this was not possible. God knows why they ship from the Netherlands. If I was them I would just use amazons fulfilment service!
Very bad customer service
Very bad customer service. The first time they hadto resend the product because disappeared from the tracking. This time it's the 14th waiting day and I still have no answer, even if I repeatedly contacted their customer service.
Never again, since there are many similar alternatives....
I bought sous vide precision cooker
I bought sous vide precision cooker. It's always been really hard for me to cook steaks correctly. I saw a chef use this on TV and I got curious so I wantched a ton of YouTube videos on others using it. This machine did not disappoint! My boyfriend said it was the best steak I have ever cooked and I didn't have to really do anything!
Cooker’s wifi didn’t work & appalling service
My Precision Cooker’s wifi didn’t work, out of the box. Peter Chua, of Anova help, was quick, but the testing process was ludicrous finicky:
1) The unit must be plugged directly into the mains - no power strips.
2) It must be sited within a few feet of the router. Not an Access Point, oh no, it MUST be the router. It’s mains lead is only a couple of feet long, so not easy.
3) It only connects to a 2.4GHz network. Switch off any 5GHz network.
4) Network MUST be WPA/WPA2.
5) Network name and password must NOT contain spaces.
I’d already spent over an hour with the skimpy instructions, the app, & FAQs. They’re SO poor, it was difficult to tell which unit mine was in the app!
Peter finally acknowledged that it was faulty, and said he’d pass it over to the replacements team, which took him half a day to get around to. Replacement team then took a day - spanning a weekend - to get around to emailing, and the silly demands continued: photograph the nameplate and the box it came in so “we can determine which model it is”. I’d ALREADY given them the SERIAL number! AND the model no from the nameplate! AND the sales invoice!
It all feels like they’re posing tests for me to fail at, so they can get rid me.
The cooker seems to work well; customer service is actively obstructive.
If you already have high blood pressure, or a weak heart, do NOT risk buying a defective Precision Cooker: getting them to put it right could kill you.
4 stars for the unit; deduct 5 stars for insultingly bad after-sales service.
Fortunately, the retailer I got it from has a rather different model of Customer Service: it, unlike Anova, aims to provide a Service to the Customer, and they’ll be sorting out the problem.

I had a strange smell coming from my Anova. I contacted support just yesterday and dealt with a gentleman called Patrick Chua. They have already sent me another replacement . I originally ordered it from Amazon in Dec last year. I have been so impressed with the speed of the resolution. I wasnt even sure if the appliance was faulty.
Great customer service Anova.
Thank you
No reaction on chat
Wanted to order the product but unclear what shipping costs / taxes are to the Netherlands. Unfortunately no reaction on the chat although it says employees are online.
Super customer service and Products!
Super customer service and amazing products.
Poor customer service. Buy their products from another store!
Their customer service is very, very poor. I ordered items from them on the 23rd of December 2019 and as 6th of February 2020 I still haven't received my goods. I've been attempting to contact their customer service many times but most times they never get back to me and when they do they take extremely long to reply and ask for the same information several times. I even had to ask to be moved to another customer service rep but of course that did not happen.
My advice: if you want to buy one of their cookers do so from another store.
Not the kind of company I buy from
I don't know if the product is good or not. I called them with pre-sales questions and was told to leave a message. I have done that every day for the last five days. No return call. The number I'm using is the same one that is for product support. Why would a want to buy something from a company that can't bother to respond when I need them?
Ordered a cooker last year in November
Ordered a cooker last year in November, still waiting for a cooker in April. They managed to deliver one cooker but it was broken, so they shipped another one, which is also lost during shipment. Customer service keeps assuring they have control over the deliveries and that they are "coordinating the investigation", but the local post office hasn't heard of them. I asked them for a refund, but they say the 100 days refund period has ended. They offer to send the fourth unit, even though the third one is still on its way and they should just take contact with the post office. Many seem to have received their cookers and are satisfied, but in my experience its complete waste of time and money.

Super fast delivery and Customer Service
I received my Anova stick a few days after I ordered it and I absolutely love it.
I then had an issue with it and told their Customer Service about it. The Customer Service representative didn't take long to decide to send me a replacement.
Kudos to the great food the stick makes possible and to Anova's Customer Service
Good but not for everyone
Ordered on Blackfriday and got a good deal on the anova 2.0 (bluetooth only). ~$123 total (including tax and shipping to canada). The unit came promptly (quicker than expected actually), but I didn't receive any notification that it was shipping or shipped (this kind of echoes the negative reviews of some other users).
The unit itself is pretty sweet. Not sure if it is the best use for home cooks. It takes a lot of planning (cook time with this thing is >1 hr) so it isn't going to be used daily. Also recipes that require >12hr cook time might add up in hydro costs...
But solid piece of equipment, I look forward to using it on weekends.
Great product..
Great product... They should however:
- Propose alternatives to plastic bags >> Guys this is a great research path for the future
- Make the app work correctly (notthe case currently)
Ordered a Sous Vide for a Birthday gift…
Ordered a Sous Vide for a Birthday gift with 3-6 day shipping. On day 6 it had not been delivered so I started researching what the status was. The order was flagged for suspicious fraudulent activity because the shipping address and billing address did not match. WHAT??? It was a birthday gift idiots!!!!! No one bothered to contact me about it & they were not willing to expedite shipping to get it to my husband in time for his birthday. They said "they don't do that". Completely UNACCEPTABLE Anova!!!!! Your customer service needs LOTS of work!
Backorder not communicated
Ordered the unit with expedited delivery. Nothing happened. I reached out on Facebook and the unit was not shipped. Fair enough, BUT could they not indicate it on their website? Its 2 products they sell so keeping an indication of stock should not be a problem. Money has been withdrawn - So now Im waiting.
Love the unit!
Products available through Amazon, love the Wifi Sous Vide, Gen 2. Couldn't be easier to use and the wifi ability to cook remotely is FANTASTIC. I have not needed to contact the company directly, everything works as expected. Recommended to friends and family.
This is a wonderful product
This is a wonderful product - but why does the app now require me to set up an account before using it? It's data mining at its worst. Still use the cooker, but set it manually now.
Bad move
Cook like a chef
The Anova might be the single most effective kitchen appliance for giving you restaurant-quality food at almost zero effort. It's reliable, small, simple - and it looks awesome.
