Lucky to get a 1 star rating.. steal your money!!

Lucky to get a 1 star rating if I’m honest!! Anderson’s took people’s money including mine of over £1300 knowing full well they were going to cease trading. Has spilled a load of rubbish blaming brexit. Good come back!! Pretending they are upset that they couldn’t fulfil kids dreams and orders. If this is true........Why carry on taking orders up until the day before??????? Still offering massive discounts on fb when they knew this was coming. Business don’t just fold over night. This was long coming. So basically Fraser stole people’s money. I ordered my second bed on the 9th June 19 and they folded 4 days later. Your telling me they didn’t know this was coming!! We need to let as many people know about this fraud as he will just open up another bed company in another name and steal off peoples hard earn money again. 2 very upset children and no cot for my baby who arrives in less then 4 weeks.

Devastated with a heart broken child!!

I too have just received an email explaining this company have gone bust with over £500 of my money 🤬 I am fuming, I contacted them 2 weeks ago to be told to contact today. I don’t understand how brexit has caused this when it hasn’t happened yet, a lame excuse, which they are using to justify robbing people. I hope us as customers get something good out of this and the company directors get what is coming to them!!!

They mess people about

They mess people about. I just got a message the other day saying would be delivered on ,1 July then they cease trading.

Worst company I've ever had to deal with.

Why don't they just refund everyone?

Surely they can't get away with this its theft.

FUMING!

Like many others, I received ‘the email’ tonight stating that the company are ceasing trading. I am absolutely fuming! I emailed only last Thursday to be told by Fraser that the order was due to be delivered in the next 4-6 weeks, despite having placed my order 12 weeks ago. I paid over £1000 for bunk beds for my children. They have been sleeping on mattresses as we have recently moved and got rid of their beds due to this order being placed. I would be interested to know how much money they have ‘stolen’ from customers, I fear the few reviews on here are just the tip of a very large iceberg. As previous reviewers have mentioned, I will be contacting watchdog first thing in the morning. I hope others follow suit. Hopefully we can all get a refund from our banks/credit card providers or Paypal. It looks like the number of disappointed children and angry parents is growing by the minute!

Absolutely devastated

I am absolutely devastated. Ordered bunk beds for my two daughters beginning of March. Got an invoice for the £500 I paid in full. Scrimped and saved for that money. Did not hear a thing after that. Fast forward 12 weeks I email them hear nothing back. Then I phone and am told will be delivered w/c 15th July. Then I get a reply on fb saying w/c 23rd July. Today I get an email saying they are ceasing trading tomorrow and to contact my bank for a refund! Bank has opened a claim but I’m not holding out much hope. We don’t have any extra money to buy other beds so I’m stuck with my 14 month old in a compact cot too small for her as I can’t move my older daughter out of the cot bed to put it in to cot mode for my youngest. A toddler in a tiny cot and a 4 year old in a tiny toddler bed, it’s my girls I feel sorry for the most. Gutted. They should be ashamed of themselves

A very upset customer

We ordered our bed on 8th January, and our bed should be ready on April. I chased them up and they said delivery will be in end of May. We waited and waited, I rang every week, they just delay the delivery date. And finally I recived a message form them saying the fallowing:

Dear xxx
It is with deep regret and sadness that we have to inform you that as of Thursday the 13th of June Andersons themes and dreams will cease trading.
This is due to overwhelming financial difficulties and uncertainty with brexit making funding extremely difficult. We do not take this course lightly nor intentionally but have been left with no choice and ordered to cease.
Over the years we have made so many children’s dreams come true and the thought of letting any child down breaks our hearts. We have exhausted every avenue we could and tried everything but just can’t continue we are truly sorry for any upset and stress this has caused and please believe it is a last resort. We are a small family business which grew too big to handle with staff whose families depended on us too which makes this all the harder for everyone who has lost their jobs and livelihood as a result
Please contact your card providers or PayPal for details of reclaiming your money

I don’t believe it!!! We waited 6months for our bed and don’t think we will get our refund!! We all work hard for our money! I just wanted a nice bed for my girls to sleep on! They have been sleeping on mattress on the floor for months and now we have to use extra money to buy another bed 😭 how can someone be so terrible and ruined people’s dreams!

Disgraceful

I ordered and paid €1,350 For a bed 24 weeks ago. Over the last few months I must have spent days following up trying to contact them to find out when I would get my bed. I was told lie after lie after lie. They are an absolute disgrace. I only hope I can get my money back through my bank. Dreadful, dreadful people.

Anderson's,Themes and Dreams should be Anderson's Nightmares

Firstly Anderson's, Themes and Dreams(should be Nightmares!) do not deserve a star but in order to write a review a star has to be given although it means BAD!!!
They are, apparently, ceasing trading tomorrow, or so they say in the email I've just received. Funny though, because only yesterday they were offering, for one day only, bunk beds with stairs with drawers for the bargain price of £500-instead of the original price of £895. I ordered the exact same beds in February, 2019 and with discounts paid £615, but of course after16 weeks of waiting, I never received the bunks for my granddaughters. I luckily, paid with PayPal credit so hopefully I will have my money refunded, I began dispute resolution on Monday, 10th June, 2019. The only emails I ever received were when I emailed them first. Except for today, and so, they are now saying from tomorrow they will cease trading. They've made many excuses, even mentioning about the uncertainty with Brexit as being a factor!
The real truth, I suspect, is they have succeeded in gaining so many orders due to people sharing their fantastic designs on Facebook and Instagram. They offer bunks as a prize if you like and share, look at their website, the numbers spike into the thousands when they run competitions. But, alas, they don't even honour the competition winners, I've spoken to a lady whose 2 girls have been waiting since December 1st, 2018 for their bunks their Mum won! Now she has been blocked from being able to make any comments on Facebook.
This company had no shame, no remorse let alone customer service.
They have fulfilled some orders, but not always to the customers satisfaction and then they've never returned to make good their rubbish creation. A Mum of an autistic child has been left with an unusable bed and her son has to sleep on a mattress. There Are so many stories, I was contacted in April by a lady concerned that I was waiting for beds I might never receive. I thanked her for informing me and then kept my own counsel until my 16 week deadline had been met. She was right, she has lists of people who also have been duped by this despicable company.
All we ever wanted was to give our children dream beds whilst they are still little and innocents. They have duped us all. Maybe they started out with good intentions but I doubt it. Anyway, people need to speak up, get in touch with Watchdog, trading standards and write a review on Trust pilot.

ANDERSONS THEMES AND DREAMS - KEEP AWAY

Do not order from Andersons Themes and Dreams, I ordered beds last November, after numerous phone calls and emails I was promised four different delivery dates, all of which were cancelled. Six months later I contacted the credit card company and they intervened and the money was reimbursed to my account. Andersons said they had so many orders because of promotions they were running behind. No apology. I advise anyone to keep away from this Company, they are quick enough to take your money, but are full of empty promises.
Three days ago I ordered the beds from Kids Funtime Beds and have already been given a delivery date.

Don't make the same mistake..

It's a shame you can't give a company zero stars. As others have said.. AVOID AVOID AVOID this company!!
They used to be a respected, reliable bed making company, this is no longer the case. It seems as though they are running some sort of scam these days. They are constantly running promotions and taking orders yet not fulfilling any of the orders they have.
You call, they promise to call back, you never receive a reply.
You can't speak to anyone accept the receptionist.. she should be ashamed of herself, constantly making promises that she very well knows won't be completed. Tons of calls, no answers.. We are pretty positive we will never receive our bed, next step is attempting a refund. Save yourself a headache, don't trust this company. They should be shut down.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Please do not be tricked into ordering a bed from this company. Absolutely despicable and I’ve now been waiting over 16 weeks for bunk-beds that look highly unlikely to arrive. I’ve been promised 6 calls through email and I’ve yet to receive any. Avoid at all measures. I’m so glad I’ve found this page to be able to leave my review as they have no reviews elsewhere at all.

TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH AND CANT FULFILL ORDERS We ordered our bunk beds on 7th January…

We ordered our bunk beds on 7th January 19 and now 2nd week of June I still hadn't had delivery yet. Had a few dates booked in for delivery, but then always got changed.
After numerous emails and phone calls, with no reply half the time. I finally made the decision to ask for a refund. Which they say they have done in full, so need to double check the bank statement. No sorry about the inconvenience or that we could not supply your order. Terrible customer service and very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company. They give you the excuse of being a family run business. But so do we and we still treat our customers better than this and turn up, when we say we will - or we wouldn't have a business. My two little girls are so upset they don't have their new beds for our new house and have had months on the floor.

Avoid this company

23 weeks after ordering, we still do not have a completed bed delivered. After numerous phone calls and failed deliveries, we eventually had the bed delivered 19 weeks after paying after they arrived with no warning.

The fitters that turned up we’re very nice, but informed us that the wrong items had been loaded and that the stair gate wasn’t on the van - fairly important since we need to stop our 2 year old climbing up and falling off the top.

4 weeks on, still no gate and haven’t had a phone call back to any of the at least 10 phone calls and multiple emails.

We are in the process of claiming the money for the gate back from our credit card company.

We are really disappointed that we didn’t go to someone else. My sister had a beautiful bed delivered, with no problems. It was a little more expensive, but I would have paid the extra to avoid all the hassle.

I would strongly advise you avoid this company.

Do not use Anderson's themes and dreams

As with all the rest of these reviews, I ordered shortly after Christmas, it has now been 21 weeks and many many false promises. The lack of care for customers is appalling. Fraser Anderson clearly does not hold customer satisfaction high on his priority list. This company make nightmares not dreams, my kids are left wondering where their pretty new bed is that they chose themselves, sleeping on the floor for weeks since delivery was initially promised. I have called their office 4 times in 3 hours today, every time speaking with the receptionist who can't even get a member of the team to call back. I would urge anyone thinking about ordering from this company to steer well clear, they are quick to take your money and then mug you off. I wish these reviews had been available when I was looking. I seriously doubt they are capable of supplying my order and do wonder whether they ever intended to when the took my money!

Avoid this company

We ordered a set of bunk beds on 7th December 2018. Finly, after months of chasing them we gave up and recieved a refund in May 2019. The customer service we recieved was so poor, for example being given two different delivery dates in one day by two different members of staff. It is clear that no one at the company has a clue what is going on.

I would advise people not to spend a penny of their hard earned cash with Andersons or you will most likely end up in a situation like ours having a child with no bed for months and months.

Please avoid!
