Luke's pdf are genuinely so helpful. They are very detailed and explain what is important. I really started understand concepts that were confusing to me from reading the Kaplan books better after reviewing his pdfs. I also love how he has detailed videos explaining how to review his pdfs and his prgessivle checklists and how to make a schedule. He also explains how to review the pdfs and recall them. It is also in line with Uworld which is a big help as Uworld was very important in my learning process. I guarantee that any who genuinely follows his plan and his advice will get a very high score on the mcat. I only which I started it earlier so I could do it the way he does in the schedule breakdown. Highly recommend!!

Luke has taken the dense UWorld textbooks and made them easy to digest. He really emphasizes LEARNING the material and connect dots to the bigger story rather than just memorizing facts. The MCAT is less about rote memorization and more about extracting information from passages and thinking critically about it. The UWorld questions help fill in some of the gaps. I am confident that I will do well on my MCAT because of Luke's content. He is very responsive when I have questions and explains it in a way that I can understand. 10/10 recommend.

Luke helped me improve my CARS score on my MCAT from a 124 to a 129 in just a couple of weeks. He was a great tutor, very responsive, and truly cared about helping me improve. 11/10.

Luke was an incredible MCAT tutor. He was kind, patient, and truly invested in his students’ success. He hosted office hours to review PDF notes and even spent hours rewatching my explanation videos to make sure I fully understood the concepts, not just memorized them. He was smart, nonjudgmental, and great to work with throughout the entire MCAT process. I highly recommend starting his method from the beginning and sticking with it all the way through.

My first time studying, I mistakenly did mcat prep by splitting it into 3 different sections--> Content review, uworld, and AAMC.

Luke has allowed me to see the value in learning just enough, and trusting that uworld will help bridge the content gaps. His mcat pdfs are very straight to the point, and for some subjects, are relatively quicker, in comparison to the Kaplan and Princeton Review books.

I would recommend this 100/100 times.

I found Luke after two previous MCAT attempts. During the second attempt, my score actually went down, so I knew I needed to do a complete rehaul of my studying for the third attempt. I met with Luke, discussed my previous experiences with the exam, and he created a very detailed study schedule with me, with goals for the content I needed to understand, and he also implemented regular assessments to check for understanding. The PDFs that were associated with his instruction were also very helpful, and the studying techniques he talked about are some that I continue to use today. I cannot recommend Luke and Ancient Brains Tutoring enough! I tried studying for the MCAT with no tutor for about a year and saw almost no improvement no matter how much time I put in. After working with Luke, the guidance, materials and support that he provided me with allowed me to increase 21 points from my first diagnostic to the actual test day. What you can get from Luke and not anywhere else is a 24hr person to text about any problem or question and someone who you can simply ask “do I really need to know this” on those silly low yield problems you might come across rather than spending 2 hours on a Reddit rabbit hole trying to figure out if it is important or not. If you are considering working with Luke, I promise you that you will see wonderful results if you do and I urge everyone reading this to utilize him as an incredible resource. I never thought I would be able to score highly before I met Luke, but on test day I ended up scoring higher than I ever thought was possible.

Luke was a great tutor! I was able to go up 22 points in four months and I wouldn't have been able to do it without him. Luke helped me by condensing high yield material into easy to learn pdfs, using the science of learning/memory to guide my study methods, and providing a wealth of MCAT expertise from his own experience that those of former students. In addition to being an expert on how to memorize content efficiently, Luke was also just great at easing my anxiety and helping my keep a positive attitude. I would absolutely recommend Luke to anyone studying for the MCAT, especially if you've got a short timeline.

I definitely recommend using Luke as your MCAT tutor. First of all, the shortened PDFs he provides make it way easier to study compared to reading through hundreds of pages of textbook PDFs. He gives you all the high-yield info you need to know, and leaves out the stuff that's a waste of time. He is very encouraging and explains things super well. He is also always available for quick questions over text, which was nice. He helped raise my score 12 points in 3 months, and I think it would have gone up even more with more time.

Luke’s tutoring method was crucial to my success on the MCAT. I jumped 19 points from my first AAMC test to my final score, and jumped 3 points from the last practice exam I took to test day. He is flexible with scheduling and timing, his content includes only the most important/necessary details, he makes sure you get tons of practice with actual test problems, and does not allow you to move on to the next topic without fully understanding the previous one. I think that last piece was the most helpful part of Luke’s tutoring because it made sure that I was able to explain things to myself and without that I wouldn’t be able to apply concepts to the exam.

Luke is an excellent tutor! From our first meeting, I knew he had my best interest in mind and would be able to guide me to success with the MCAT. I especially appreciated his study materials, which made the process of content review much more manageable. Luke is the man! He understands not only the content and how to effectively learn the content but also the feelings testers are going through. Working with Luke was the highlight of preparing to apply for medical school! He was kind, reassuring and extremely knowledgeable. Luke was unlike other tutors I’ve met. He was untraditional in the best way. He’s developed his own study plan for students, works one on one, and caters to what you need help with. I learned how to study effectively through Luke, and prep properly for the mcat. He is a great tutor!

Luke was instrumental to my MCAT studying. I worked with him twice a week for two-hour sessions and he always made these meetings fun and time to look forward to. We created a comprehensive schedule for a studying method that worked for me and he was very flexible whenever I needed a change. We worked through all the MCAT topics in a way that made studying have as little stress as possible. Luke was an expert on every topic and any question I had was answered with confidence. I was able to score above my goal because of Luke and his amazing help. His positive attitude, humor, and extensive knowledge on all MCAT topics made every meeting fun and productive.

I just finished the process of studying for, taking, and getting my MCAT score back, and Luke was incredibly helpful through it all. He answered all of my questions and concerns promptly and effectively. He was great in one on one meetings, and he is very good at asking questions to make sure you know all of the details that you should. Simultaneously, he verbally recognizes that this is a hard exam to study for, and I never felt judged or put down because I missed a question. He was great about reminding you what you already know and helping you add to it.

His resources that he provides are immensely helpful for content review, and I think he has a great way of scheduling when you should do practice questions and full exams. We used a lot of Uworld questions - which are somewhat expensive just as a disclaimer - but that was hugely helpful to my studying, and Luke really helped me understand how to effectively use that resource.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience, and he helped me bring my score from a 511 to a 520!
