Joss and Craig from Amey were very…

Joss and Craig from Amey were very professional and very helpful when my car broke down on the motorway on Wednesday, 1st April 2026. They waited with me, parked behind me with hazard lights flashing, until the AA arrived - and they continued to wait while the AA put towing wheels and rear lights on my car to tow it to a Perth garage. The weather was wild, with high winds and heavy rain, and the traffic was busy. They helped me get in touch with the AA, and arranged for the rescue tow. I am very grateful for their help. Thank you Joss and Craig from Amey!

Room for Quality Improvement

Amey are generally efficient in collection but I and many of my friends and neighbours do not receive renewal notices by either post or email for green garden waste bins. This causes lapses in collection and appears to be a hangover from COVID.

Absolute disaster of a company

Absolute disaster of a company. Ordered 2 new bins (black and blue), they only delivered blue 1, opened a complaint to get the remaining black bin delivered, they told me they would collect my small black bin (after 4 phone calls). Then they emailed me today to say they are going to collect my green bin. Arghhh. It’s like something out of Faulty Towers. Frustrating. The whole ordering process is a technical nightmare. They need to update their system.

If I could put less than 1 star I would, everything is done on the cheap with no regard to residence. Hang your heads in shame Staffordshire County Coincil for using these absolute cowboys who think that “rough enough, is good enough”. Disgrace!!

Hiring manager is a lier

Interview went really well, so I thought, they stated I had so much to offer, especially with my previous armed forces employment.

All questions asked were answered, just the general about breaks, holiday and sickness.This was taken as a negative by the interviewer, as told there is never a stupid question.

Seemed a laugh and a joke to interviewer throughout interview.

Sent email with a blatant lie from hiring manager, stating i had said something when I hadn’t.

Very poor leadership shown by stating reasons not to employ people which are not true

Didn’t get materials for 8/10 weeks

Didn’t get materials for 8/10 weeks. Had to bring my own paint from home and had to buy new paint and they gave it me back when the order eventually arrived. Had one paint brush towards the end that I had to wash out every time I used a different colour.
You may think that I’m making this up but I can assure you that I am not.

Clueless planning travelling from…

Clueless planning travelling from larkhall to Hamilton ever slip road closed including the Hamilton - Motherwell slip road which must have the full budget spent on it as is closed every night near enough I came off at the Raith and went up the A725 with the intension of come off at Blantyre they had ever slip road closed sent all the way to east Kilbride and back down the expressway a 10 minute journey home took 35 minutes no warning no diversion signs this mob along with transport Scotland are a joke no planning or consideration even if they do have a plan it's always a poor one the person who planned the work and closures tonight should be looking at another careers cause he extremely poor at this one .

Thanks for the extra miles extra fuel costs and wasted time keep up the good work 👍

Pedestrians are in danger on footpaths

Took a tumble whilst crossing tram lines to get to public pavement due to mud sitting at the edge of pavement, fell heavily and took brunt of fall on my arm, ruined a brand new coat in the process, and wrote to Bee Network as they are the trams I could see using the line in Ashton (ref 0224-CD4YV2-21036, they wrote back and said they were closing case as day to day matters are dealt with by Keolis Amey-Metrolink, a Ben Bevan (Metrolink email address) contacted me 28 Feb and asked for various info, I provided pics and proof of purchase, since then no response, chased him twice and no response (he never gave me a ref number or phone number) now 25 April !!!!

Useless

One is being generous. Poor workmanship working in partnership with sheffield city council. Poor values and contempt for taxpayers. Can't trust them as far as you can throw them. The whole 2 billion contract with the council is tainted and clouded in a shroud of xxxxxxx.

AMEY are in charge of banking and…

AMEY are in charge of banking and surrounds to motorway. They carried out an Ash tie back on M74 near junction 8 last year however the company they employed cut down 95% of the trees....allegedly all infected apart from the 4 trees at the end of my drive....the noise has tripled in sound my dog is now terrified by the noise...the company pass you around like a plate of biscuits and have no interest in residents.I have a friend who owns a company down south and when this happens they replace trees and put up sound barrier fencing....AMEY no chance don't care about people SHAMBLES

This company has my number listed as one of their customers. Despite numerous interactions where I have explained the issue and requested for my phone number to be removed from their system, predictably nothing happened... This company refuse to listen and are unhelpful and unprofessional.

total waste of energy asking for help…

Why is it that AMEY are reluctant yo spend any of the millions the Sheffield tax payers GAVE them to repair the road problems .Including refurbishing the white H markings , The one to access my drive looks like lace curtains ,and disregarded by selfish drivers .Years ago ,,when AMEY were changing the street lights l I asked them if they would put skirts on two of them ,as the lights lit up the whole of my house ,and garden on a par with Wembly stadium .Costing me dark blinds expenditure , because of course AMEY did nothing Except to send a man to check the situation at 9-45 pm one evening . No doubt they have a strangle hold on Sheffield Council
