When it was JD Melberg, received excellent advice and was able to retire very comfortably with money to spare. Then, Amerilife bought them. Followed their initial advice and it was OK. Not great performance but they called to schedule a review. Great. But when the advisor called he was unprepared, he didn't have my account info. So we rescheduled. Got a call the day before to remind me. But, was stood up. No call at all that entire day. A month later, getting close to my annuity anniversary day, received another call to schedule with a different advisor. They called the day before to confirm. Again, stood up. No call at all. I didn't miss a call, my phone lets me know even if it's a blocked number. I'm done with Amerilife.
I had an agent recommended by a co worker and he said good things about this person. So I made an appointment to see her and talked to her on the phone beforehand. I was very disappointed by our appointment she never would fully explain exactly how the plan she had chosen for me would work and was very very very vague about everything, I still agreed to give her 30,000 of my retirement savings. After the visit I just did not feel comfortable about what had happened, and texted her the next day that I had changed my mind , and she responded with a very sarcastic text , even telling me to go ask my brother in law what bank to put my money in which I did not appreciate at all this was very unprofessional on her part and should not be tolerated by the company, fortunately I got the check that was going to be sent to me stopped and kept my money with my 401k company. I will never recommend a sales person that deals with annuities like her ever again I was lucky to be able to keep my money. What a rude unprofessional person , I am still going to report her to amerilife totally unacceptable.
Stephanie Goberman is amazing. She is such a wealth of knowledge and so professional. Thank you for helping me understand the fine details.
This company is all over US - California, Texas, NC, SC, Pennsylvania, MJ, NY etc. However, they do not care about their employees at all. For example, they do not want to provide recordings of the company's presentations (like 401K ones) that employees had to miss because of the work duties and responsibilities. Is that fair and OK to it's own employees? That means the company is not transparent and is hiding something. In addition, Amerilife tells its HOURLY employees to take a one hour lunch break off the clock instead of taking half an hour off the clock and 2x 15 minutes break on the clock. That's how the company steals 30 minutes from it's employees every single day!? Everything at the site where I work is about gossip and about stabbing coworkers in the back. Coworkers are not trustworthy. People who do not possess required qualifications first gets hired, and then after short time, they even get promoted. Terrible biased and very unfair system is the one that Amerilife company has been promoting.
