We recently refinanced our home with AmeriHome. Our loan officer, Andre Sussman, and loan processor, Eddie Zambrano, were wonderful to work with.
They were both very knowledgeable and easily accessible when we had questions. This process can be very stressful but they both made it very easy.

The absolute worst customer service. You can't talk because all they do is interrupt you and what they say has nothing to do with what you called for and so you try to explain but halfway through your explanation they interrupt you again. You have to go through their automated voice of despair for 10-15 minutes before you are even given a human to speak with and then it's just interrupt, interrupt, interrupt. Found out they sold my mortgage to another servicer but I am kind of glad that maybe this other company will at the least have reps that will listen first. And I was going to refinance, glad I didn't with Amerihome.

Brandon Lee was great. He was quick and worked his best to get us the best deal/rate and discounts on cost. He kept in constant communication and was quick to call or respond to all of my questions.
Eddie Zambrano, his processor is great and very detailed oriented. He makes sure he has all the information needed to prepare for final approval.
Will go to Amerihome for any future lending.
Both Irene Zafra and Andre Sussman made my refinancing experience with Amerihome seamless. They both got back to me immediately whenever I needed them. They went the extra mile to be creative when necessary and to fight for me to get my desired outcome. Speaking with my Loan Officer Toby Mbelu & my Loan Processer Dylan Schuster made my experience in refinancing totally a GREAT experience. They both took the time to answer any and all questions we had to our satisfaction. anything we didn't understand they took the time out to explain. These two gentlemen are awesome at their jobs. And most important thing is, when you call them they will always answer and if they are on another call they call you back right away. I would refer then both to help anyone in need of refinancing. AmeriHome is the worst company and is stealing money from their customers. My 2022 taxes have not been paid by the mortgage company, not even to this day 7/13/2023. I spoke with them multiple times for over a month now. I had to go into my savings and pay my own taxes on 7/3/2023 so that my property wouldn't go into foreclosure. Now AmeriHome has charged my escrow account the amount I paid for the taxes and is saying that they were the ones that paid my taxes on 7/3. I spoke to the county and they confirmed that there was NOT a double payment and AmeriHome has NOT paid them. AmeriHome can't provide any proof of payment, not a reference number, not a copy of the check nothing, because they did NOT pay. But yet they charged my escrow account as if they did, which is FRAUD! BUYER BEWARE this company is committing fraud and stealing funds.

Jeff Evans and Brandi Clements provided excellent service throughout the refinancing process. The communication was quick and clear, and they were always available to answer questions.
Phillip and his Team delivered a fully approved loan ahead of schedule and with very reasonable documentation requests. He was extremely impressive in his ability to anticipate my questions, and then provide answers that also answered any follow-up questions. A true professional!
If your payments are late three times, say goodbye to autopay/online pay. We made the mistake of forgetting to transfer money to the account autopay pulls from on three separate occasions. If this happens, you are forced to use tellers checks via mail as form of payment for 12 months before online payments are turned back on. This is incredibly inconvenient as one of my tellers checks has already been lost in the mail (which will incur a late fee if I can't get another one to them on time). So now the process has gone from "Oh shoot I forgot to transfer money to my account and the payment bounced, let me get on and pay it immediately to resolve this" to I order a tellers check at the beginning of the month, wait a week for it to arrive at my house, then send it as soon as I receive it only to hope it reaches them on time. I sent my last one on the 12th of the month and by the 1st of the next month, they still hadn't received it. And with lost tellers checks you have to wait 90 days to even declare it lost, which means that's 90 days of a whole mortgage payment you don't have in your bank and are waiting to get back. This process is so much of a headache and makes me very stressed every month, especially knowing I could be logging on, hitting a couple of buttons, and sending them their payment immediately.
Update JUL 31, 2023: After writing this review it seems Amerihome saw it and turned my autopay back on. This would be great, except for the fact that they activated it on a Saturday before the first of the next month, which is when the payment is schedule to come out. I had already sent the next months payment in the mail and when I had to wait until the 31st to call them because they aren’t open on the weekends, they said they cannot stop the auto payment because it’ll take 3 business days and I should’ve notified them earlier, even though I had just gotten the notification the Saturday before. Now I’ll have 2 mortgage payments coming out of my account at the same time. In addition, I’m upset that prior to writing this entire review I had called Amerihome and told them my struggles with the mail in payments and asked for an appeal to turn autopay back on and they said “no ma’am that’s impossible” and wouldn’t even try to work with me on it or give me other options, yet after I write a negative review it’s all of the sudden turned on, and without them calling to notify me first to make sure I haven’t already sent a payment by mail. It’s all very frustrating and I’m sick of dealing with this company at this point.

Amerihome is on strike two with me. First, they didn't pay the city tax from my escrow yet they deducted it from the payments I made. Next, they sent the home owner's insurance money from escrow to the wrong address and proceeded to tell me it was my fault. Finally, they ensured me that I would receive and call back once the new check was mailed. Nothing. No call at all. This company should be put out of business. Horrible customer service. They only stay in business due to the fact that home buyers have little to no say in who purchases their mortage after the big shill companies open it up for sale.

We made a recast payment so that we could lower our monthly mortgage payments. The money was wired, they received the money and applied it correctly, but didn't send us the documents we have to sign so they can modify our loan, thus we are paying the same high amount every month. Tried for almost two months to get in touch with them, talked to several people, messaged them, the only answer we received is "we are analyzing this issue and you'll get an answer in 5-10 business days (which are gone by now). I don't know what to do, nobody seems to be responsible or care about customers. This wouldn't have happened 30-40 years ago. I don't believe in those 5 stars given by different "customers".
