Foolishly I ordered again from Amazon Surf and Skate NZ and yet again have been massively let down. I placed an order on 26 November and am still waiting for delivery. I have sent lots of emails, only to be told it had landed in NZ, which it had not, it was only when I chased up their courier that it finally landed in NZ 2.5 weeks later and is now being held at customs due to some issue and I am still waiting. These are Christmas presents, which I cannot afford to rebuy elsewhere so I sit in hope that they will be delivered but I am also not holding my breath! It’s an absolute joke that when ordering from what looks like an NZ based store, items are coming from Australia 5 x slower than they would from China. They also advised me that if the products don’t turn up in time for Xmas, I am welcome to send them back for a refund, NOT HELPFUL!!! NEVER AGAIN AMAZON, City Beach are much better, deliver within 5 days and are much the same price. Wish I had placed my entire order with them 🤦♀️

Really happy with a pair of VOLCOM pants I ordered, great quality and fit true to size. Shipping from AUS to NZ was super quick too. Would definitely recommend.
We bought Jandals over winter that only lasted a couple of months of normal summer use before falling apart. (I had previously owned the exact same product with no issues for multiple years). They refused to offer a resolution other than “there is no warranty but here have a 20% discount code”. They refuse to accept their Consumer Guarantees Act obligations. Out of principle, I will be making a complaint to the Commerce Commission and engaging with the Disputes Tribunal.
Advertised a product they did not have, refunded my money for shorts but no free towel as it meant it was then under $150. Emailed asking why no freebie as it was their mistake but was politely to to get lost and it was my fault, I've given these guys plenty of money in previous shops so very disappointed, will never shop with them again
Never buy from this company online. They sent me the incorrect item and would not send me the correct one (even though it was still available). I returned the incorrect item via courier and it took weeks to get a refund (and this happened after I started the process with the bank to get a reversal of payment). It caused stress and was a very annoying situation all around. Don't waste your energy or time (numerous emails back and forward over many weeks) to get a refund for an item I never received. Would give zero stars if possible because I paid for something I didn't get and had to pretty much fight to get my money back.
Ordered a “genuine 100% leather wallet”, it’s pure plastic. Absolute junk. Do not trust this company.
I gave 2 stars because I got my goods, however they did take a longer than usual time to arrive, given I ordered from another surf shop online and their item arrived 3 days later. I had to return the items and I'm unsure I actually would've received a refund if I hadn't phoned them twice. You always know if when you phone a company and their outgoing message says they won't tolerate any abuse, that their staff are probably going to drive you to drink and be ready for a very lengthy wait before they pick up the phone. I wasn't proven wrong. Communication was non existent, no email to say they'd received the goods back, nothing. The person on the phone seemed stand-offish from the start. There's a real disconnect between the NZ and Aus stores (you go through to Aus when you phone). I was asked for the tracking number so she could prove it was received, made me wait, then said she'd need to call NZ to check it had been received, even though she just checked? I really don't mind if it takes 10 working days to process a refund (although this is a bit long), but at least send people an email to say you got the goods so they don't need to waste yours and their time to phone you!
Snarky response from their customer service / complaint team. Never has stock of the larger size shoes and their webiste just leaves you guessing as to whether or not they'll get it back in.
Never shopping with these guys again, far better stores elsewhere.
What a crap online service, and I haven't bought anything! But this is due to a stupid error every time I try to pay, which appears to be their end! I have tried the customer service number but have been on hold for over 15mins. I wouldn't waste your time!!
Unhelpful customer service and very rude staff members
Worst customer service ever recieved my order today it was incomplete and was charged for items that I havent recieved their had been no communication to say they were out of stock and everything was showing in stock on the website. They did not make contact in regards to a refund, will not purchase from this company again and no efforts to resolve the issue.
Really disappointed in the level of customer service all round from this establishment. I found a nice puffer vest on sale online for $135 so I went into my local Amazon store and found the same item in my size thankfully and took it up to the counter only to be told it was $300. I advised that it’s Showing as 135 online to which the lady replied yea sorry our online store prices are different to instore? The exact same product!!! Pretty sure that’s bordering on false advertising. Oh and it gets better. So after having a rather frustrating conversation with the sales rep I proceeded to order the item online for 135. A week later I still had not received an update about it or confirmation of shipping, then I get an email saying my order had been cancelled!!!! Meanwhile I’m 135 bucks out of pocket. Phoned customer service, they couldn’t of cared less. Couldn’t provide any reasons as to why prices are different online to in store and couldn’t say why my order was cancelled other than the obvious fact that I had already gathered - that they had no stock left left, yet I was able to put it in my cart and order it at the time. Thanks for nothing Amazon! Won’t be shopping with you again.
Ordered 1 jersey from here in the hope of it being a birthday present. I ordered this a few weeks before and still haven't got it!!! Birthday tomorrow, so that pretty annoying. Bare in mind I live in New Zealand so made sure to order within NZ or Aus to at least think I'd get it in a decent amount of time. Never use online ordering here!!

I was, and I remain, appalled and disgusted by this - in my personal experience and opinion - careless, underhanded and deceitful company.
On the weekend of 12/13 March 2022, the price on a men's SALE hoodie advertised at the Amazon Surf and Skate website changed from $37.92 to $67.52 to $96.33 in LESS THAN 24 HOURS! Worse still, their replies to my complaint e-mails made it clear that not even their employees knew the correct sale pricing of the item I had added to my cart and wanted to pay for!
I e-mailed Amazon Surf and Skate my original complaint on 12 March 2022, and, because of their ignorant, pathetic and disinterested comments in reply, numerous e-mails were exchanged between us by the time 14 March 2022 rolled around.
I first complained that the sale price had changed from $37.92 to $67.52. Unbelievably their response was to say "unfortunately the sale price is $69.29". A different figure again to the two prices advertised - in the first instance and then the second instance - at their website!!!
In all, the SALE PRICE changed THREE TIMES in less than 24 hours - FROM $37.92 TO $67.52 TO $96.33, while they also replied to my further complaints saying that "the correct sale price is $69.29" ... which did not match any of the prices advertised at their website as stated above.
Infuriatingly Amazon Skate and Surf also claimed in one of their replies that "the $37 price was a glitch in the system." Yet another different price quoted by them!!! Personally, I HATE being lied to and having my intelligence insulted at the same time makes me furious, so I replied saying; "With due respect, it is b.s. to claim that there was a "glitch" in your system which caused the sale price to appear as $37.92. The item was added t my cart at that same price, and, had I completed the transaction immediately I would have paid that same price, plus shipping, and not a cent more. It is illegal to advertise anything for a price and then not honour that same price. How too do you explain the increase from $37.92 - sale price - to $67.52 - again sale price - to $96.33 - once again sale price ... all in less than 24 hours!!! How many "glitches" would this take?
You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. I was, incidentally, going to spend a little more than $300 at your website but with this b.s. going on I took my business elsewhere and spent my money instead at City Beach ... see evidence copied below. The moral of this complaint lies in the fact that only did you lose out on $335.39 worth of business but more importantly I will NEVER buy anything from your store having experienced what I have thus far."
Any business that values its customers would have HONOURED the advertised $37.92 price, and, the fact that I received a reply to the above quoted e-mail saying "there is no need to be rude" told me I had made the right decision to NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AMAZON SURF AND SKATE. The complete lack of understanding of just how disappointed, frustrated and angry I was with their attitude and conduct confirmed this for me, and, that it was this ... and not my usual personality or behaviour ... that had caused me to be "rude".
In conclusion, I would suggest that anyone reading this review exercises caution when considering buying anything from Amazon Surf and Skate ... WHO CANNOT, IN MY OPINION, BE TRUSTED when it comes to their "sales" and sale prices.
Today I received the same hoodie I had been misled to believe would cost me $37.92 ... having paid $103 (including courier post) to an honest, ethical and trustworthy company (CrewBlenheim). Amazingly friendly and helpful service, and, having ordered the hoodie late on 13 March 2022 I was amazed to have received it early this morning. Amazon Skate and Surf could take a leaf out of this company's book.
It has been over 5 working days and my order hasn’t even been shipped yet. Like come on guys what a let down
