Fun media company acting like serious investors
I liked to read their articles coz I had subscribed to their newsletter. When they started their fund ALTS 1 I made the bad decision to invest. 3 months in the fund is down 9% when other alts are up. I spoke to their CIO and it was a bunch of nonsense he was trying to sell. Guy should be a collector, not an investor. Stay as far away as you can.
Update: response to Alts who replied: I appreciate the response. Here are the problems
1. the fund should not be down 7% in 6 months when other alternatives are up
2. The fund is sitting on 40% cash. On that basis, if the fund was 100% invested, it would fall by 17.5%, so more than S&P 500
