I bought the beginners finnish course
I bought the beginners finnish course - it’s not the beginner level! From the start it throws at you a lot of complicated words and sentences, grammar rules are introduced all at once and there are only verb forms without any explenation to where you should use them and how they differ from other forms that they throw at you in the lesson before. I do not reccomend it to anyone who wants to learn the language.
not worth the price
most lessons consist of introductory videos, followed by "exercises" in which you have to put words in the correct order or fill out a missing word. from time to time they throw in random grammar lessons and a bit of vocabulary. in general, it's not worth the price at all and won't make you proficient at the language you're seeking to learn since the teaching methods employed are not very didactic. next to the fact that the quality is very disappointing, the very high price renders it unrecommendable

Reply from Not in use anymore - Old Altissia
The most expensive memory game in town.
Time consuming, ineffective and plain unintelligent.
It starts with a little video, badly put together with tired voice actors and stock photos to boot.
Afterwards, there is a quiz about the video and I cannot wrap my head around how exactly that helps the learning process.
After that massive bore, Altissia will throw up to 40 isolated words at you, before a "complete the sentence" game where you'll have to put all those words in order.
More often than not, the program will challenge you to complete isolated sentences devoid of any context whatsoever and your success relies entirely on a wild guess.
This type of padding and filler to stretch the hours spent on such an ineffective "learning" platform, is downright disrespectful and will greatly damage whatever notion you have of english.
Not well developed
Not well developed. Wouldn't improve your language proficiency, especially English. Some vocabularies definition are unstandardized and misdefined. Yet you need to remember all of those to complete any task, which is not make sense (and that will destroy your English).
It's not worth the price
The quality is absolutely shoddy. It doesn't improve your language skill, they offer you a bunch of vocabulary and comprehension exercise to study and just fill the gaps. You won't learn to write a proficient English text or speak a language fluently, the add-on price for a live coaching is about 20 EUR per 30 min which is a little overpriced.
