Extremely impressed by the service and quality. Ordered Tuesday (from Altinay, Turkey) and received via UPS on Friday in the UK. Superior quality carving and very accurate images and specifications provided on the website at a very competative price (free postage too).
I hope and expect to use their services again in the future.

Meerschaum pipes made by Altinay are aesthetically superbs. From classic shapes like Billiard (mine) to Lee Van Cleef calcined models, it is always a work of fine craftmanship.
Moreover, this workshop takes care of their customers , with a very good communication if needed.
Finally, if you live in France, there is no fees or taxes when you order. It goes without saying that the pipe itself is a dream for pipe smokers !
I cannot recommend Altinay enough if you are in search of a very good quality meerschaum pipe.

The best in the business for classic, large meerschaum pipes. Finding high-quality meerschaum in bigger, traditional shapes can be tough, but Altinay consistently delivers stunning examples that are beautifully carved and true to form. I'm genuinely excited to collaborate with them on some custom designs in the future—highly recommend for any serious smoker/collector!

When I was looking for my first meer, Altinay was hands down the most recommended source, and now I know why. After months of waiting, perusing their new stock as it came in, I finally found the one I wanted (I wanted a silver spigot). The fact that it was on a killer sale helped quite a bit! The ordering process was a bit of a hassle (my credit union requiring additional authorization to verify it was me...), but that's not on Altinay. After the order went through, the shipping process was painless and quick--except I had to pay an additional tarriff to UPS before they would deliver, but again, that is due to an orange orangutan, not Altinay. Most importantly, I love the pipe! It is beautiful and smokes great! Definitely exceeded my expectations!

This is my first Altinay pipe and I must say I am more than satisfied. If you are looking for large meerschaum pipes, you will find them at Altinay Pipes. I have been smoking my pipe at least once a day for almost a month now, and the colouring is slowly starting to develop. It is simply a joy to watch.

The delivery to Switzerland also only took two days. Very fast. I have a feeling that a second one will follow soon.

I bought my first meerschaum after hearing the good word about Altinay pipes; I had to take the plunge. The customer service was as expert as the pipe I purchased. It is now my favorite amongst the many briars and cobbs I own. I haven't had a bad smoke yet and it's coloring wonderfully. 50 or so bowls in and it's only becoming more wonderful in beauty and purpose. Will be back for more!!

When I went to the Pipe Show in Vegas I was walking thru smoking my favorite pipe. A vendor waved me over excited. SAID ALTINAY a Turkish meerschaum carver. His grandfather carved my favorite. It was exciting for both of us.
We have stayed in touch and Said let me know of a wee Vest Pocket he had produced. I ordered it!
Fun paying for it, I finally accomplished it by international wire transfer.
It arrived today. Here it is with my original favorite.

First, let me say that Said is a pleasure to work with. Highly responsive, helpful and kind. I had missed an opportunity to purchase a pipe from the website. Said quickly found a similar pipe and allowed me to specify an alternate stem. He also helped me through the purchase process.

I am very satisfied with my Altinay meerschaum pipe. It has excellent craftsmanship and a beautiful carved motif that looks even better in person.
