While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Decent gym for the standards of Greece

Decent gym for the standards of Greece. The "rules" are a complete joke - probably these people have never trained in their life before. You are not allowed to train with bare feet - for context if anyone from this gym reads this review when you train with bare feet you have neuromuscular adaptations - please educate yourselves. Apart from that the gym is clean but they look you in. a weird way when you train hard. Overall, decent but not inclusive for everyone.

Alterlife charges

Congratulations to Afterlife for succeeding in turning fitness into a real estate market. Demanding an additional fee of approximately €125 just to transfer a membership to Nea Smyrni—for the exact same services as in Peristeri and for the same annual subscription—is a purely abusive practice that exploits the customer based on location.
When the employee herself admits there is no difference in the facilities but says 'that’s just marketing,' and then asks for an email to query headquarters about the reasons for the charge (because perhaps someone hasn't understood correctly),. It is unfair for a business to add a 'premium' to the same service, treating its steady customers as wallets defined by their zip code. The sense of shame you feel when someone speaks to you and no one can explain why they are asking for more money, other than the justification 'this is our charge,' is unacceptable."

Been a member of alterlife Corfu…

Been a member of alterlife Corfu boutique gym since last year. A classy gym, near town center. Always trained under guidance of a staff member. This is very good, and helps prevent injuries. But it can be restrictive at times. Today, did some cardio, then stretches. Was not part of a class. Politely asked Manager to allow me 5 min weight workout, before abs. Her responce was 10 min of lecturing about their no unguided exercise policy, and they absolutely forbid me to touch any weights. Overall a very good gym, but different than your average one...

Management at Alterlife are making some…

Management at Alterlife are making some bad choices on saving money. Cutting costs by switching off aircon and opening all the doors. Has created a stuffy, moist and hot environment, very hard to work out properly and attracting mosquitoes inside who are biting. Meanwhile lots of excess staff sitting around.
