Over the Christmas 2016 holidays Allied Fire and Security failed to notify us for eight days of low temperature conditions at my home and office that resulted in the total loss and required replacement of our plumbing. It has been 8 months since the event and I have been in touch with the company by phone and in person and only received unfulfilled promises that they will “look into it and follow-up”. My nearly bi-weekly contacts have included several service technicians, the customer service manager, the Spokane branch manager and finally the owner.
Judging from other complaints about Allied Fire and Security, both here and on other websites, as well as credible employee reviews I conclude this is a poorly run company, with a constipated culture, selling an out of date and failure prone technology. There are far better solutions, such as the one provided by Xfinity and other IP providers that provide better service at a lower cost and with higher reliability.
We no longer entrust Allied with the safety and security of our home and business. I would not recommend that anyone else do either.

I felt as though everyone I met was professional and answered my questions appropriately.
The people who are in charge of sales are really good, it appears that they try to be honest about what they can and can't do. The installation people were really good as well. I asked questions and they worked with me on what could be done with what I wanted. The people in the billing department need a lot of work on communication which includes listening!!! I also did not appreciate the snarky tone they have when I ask questions if I don't understand something. Then it seems that they put you on hold for a really long time if they disagree with you!!!! They messed up how I wanted this billed out. Something happened between the installation guy filling out paperwork that I signed that didn't get to the billing people. I averaged my experience, I would have given billing one star and the other departments four.
Easy and efficient upgrade.Very professional.
Upgraded system, convenient timing and professional installation
Locally owned is a big priority for us and this company fits the bill. We got prompt and very professional service. There was no sales pressure to buy things we didn't need. I highly recommend Allied.
In the years since you took over ourr account we have never had anyone at your company contact to see how things were or to see if they might check the system, upgrade it, etc.
Good product and well priced, Local company with a long history in the area, well trusted.
Although the equipment seems to be working just fine, I have had trouble getting tasks done with the customer service team. They have not changed my account information on several occasions and have caused issues on weekends due to not changing my account info which lead to my company spending money. Have had some issues with rude customer service reps and do not enjoy dealing with their support team. The only reason this is a satisfactory review is because it is a do-it-yourself system and at least I am able to use the product for its intentions.
Process was easy, from the initial phone call to the tech doing the work.
Unfortunately, our home was broken into in the middle of the night while my family and I slept. In the morning, after filing a police report, we called Allied Fire & Security. They came out that afternoon and changed all the locks on all the doors in our home. The next day, we called to inquire about their Security Systems. Brian came out that afternoon. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't try to oversell us and he showed genuine concern for our family's hardship. We compared Allied Fire & Security to ADT and what we discovered was that Allied was far superior in every way we could compare the 2. We chose to purchase a system and monthly monitoring through Allied and they were able to get us an immediate opening for the installation (2 days later). Rich installed our system by himself in 4.5 hours. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and very professional. I felt very comfortable having him in our home. I was extremely satisfied with his performance in installing our system and showing me how to operate it. A week later when the bill came in the mail, we were happy to pay it! Everyone we came into contact with at Allied was friendly, professional, & knowledgeable. It was a great experience and we highly recommend them to others!!
Everything went well no problems great product and people working for Allied
They were one of the only companies to work with me on my existing alarm system and were very helpful. The rates were reasonable and happy with the service we have received in the past. We've had one false alarm and a few trouble alerts and all of there were responded to very quickly. Would be nice to have a few more customizations to integrate into existing system (allow incoming SMS messages to alarm system), but core service has been great.
For 20 years I have managed security needs for several locations for my job as a Police Officer and my own personal residence. In that time I have worked closely with Allied Security. I find the staff to be very knowlegeable and ready to help with any of my needs. They are very responsive and reliable when called upon. They are a local company that very much serves the needs in security or all job sizes. I have refered Allied Security to friends and family many times and all have been very happy with thier service.
My opinion may be somewhat biased as I had the pleasure of being employed by this Company for 38 awesome years. There are many options for security but none of them will ever come with a more caring and concientious dedication to providing a positive Customer Experience than Allied Fire and Security. If you just want security, buy the cheapest on the market because they all deal in the same modern technology. But, if you want total protection and want to deal with real people, with heart and a vested community involved staff.......You will never go wrong with Allied!!!
My opoinion says it all.
I like having the relative peace of mind that our house is secure while we are home and especially while traveling away from home. The installer was great and all phone contacts with Allied Fire & Security have been professional. I have no experience with other security companies, but when our alarm has gone off by accidental activation the phone response time by Allied Fire & Security (to verify if alarm is perhaps false) seems a bit slow at times. The verification calls seem to come at about 1-2 minutes (usually closer to 1 minute) after the alarm is activated, which seems slow to me (I shut it off within 10-15 seconds of activation and wait for their phone call). I guess I would expect about 20-40 seconds to be more appropriate. We have only had one "false" alarm while away from home, in which they sent out the Sheriff's Department. No one could explain why it activated, but everything was intact upon our return. Overall, I am satisfied and would recommend a home alarm with monitoring for anyone looking for that extra security feature. I also recommend enhancing or reinforcing your door locks.
