I have been approached by Jack who work…

I have been approached by Jack who work for Allen Lane on Linkedin.

He stated that there is a job that match my skills and he asked me if I can send an up to date CV which I did. I told him that I have been approached before by recruiters whom are time wasters and he said that he's different and that he will call me to give me an update/feedback after the sifting take place with the hiring manager. I spent hours updating my CV (although I wasn't looking to change my job then, but he made the new position look very appealing) anyway I never heard back from him. I text him on LinkedIn but he ignored my text.

Very unprofessional and dishonest organisation.

I have work with the Allen Lane team…

I have work with the Allen Lane team for many years and in more recently particularly Beth Young. I have engaged with Allen Lane as both a client and a candidate during this period and would recommend Allen Lane Agency without hesitation.
Beth and her colleagues have always been extremely professional whilst delivering a very personalised service which has resulted in a very positive relationship. The Allen Lane team have always listened to role briefs and been incredibly honest and transparent when articulating any market or candidate constraints that maybe experienced. I as a candidate have always experienced a very open relationship and received realistic role and organisational descriptions which have allowed me to make informed decisions when choosing roles which I have found invaluable.

Allen Lane

Working as a finance contractor in the 3rd sector, I have worked with Allen Lane, specifically Beth Young, for over 10 years. Through her I have undertaken various contracts with various organisations such as VSO, ActionAid, Comic Relief, Jewish Museum, which have often being extended. She not only has thorough knowledge of the sector and the people in it, but is also trusted by candidates and employers alike as she is committed to the sector and builds long term relationships. Anyone that has worked with her will recognise uncompromising values, determination and of course a great sense of humour.
I have never had any issues with Allen Lane, on contracts, payments or support during my contracts, and would highly recommend working with them.

Worst agency I have ever used. Avoid.

Had a terrible experience with this company. They charged me something called "Contractor plus", which was £35 a day commission for them finding me a job, and it came out of my salary. On top of this I had to pay £15 a week umbrella company fees. And finally, they threatened me and everyone else who wrote a bad review for them on google with legal action. Unbelievable. Complete joke of a company who takes advantages of their temporary staff and milks them for every penny they are worth, and treats them like dirt.

Deleted google page to censor negative reviews

They deleted their google maps page because of the negative reviews. They are trying to portray a false image that they are amazing, but they are a very bad agency. Any company that resorts to threatening reviewers with legal action and deletes their google page so people can't see negative reviews has something to hide.

Don't care about you

I went to their offices to register but had to wait 20 minutes for the recruiter to meet me. He said they had lots of jobs for me but a month later nobody contacted me. I left a message for them but nobody called back. They are not professional and there are better agencies.

Allen Lane forced me to join rip of scheme called Contractor Plus

This agency forced me onto to join Contractor Plus which they charged me £175/wk or £700/month deduction from my salary. When I tried to get off it they said the only reason I was offered a job was because I was on this scheme but admitted that this was just to make money for them. Very disappointed with them and now with a decent agency.
