I didn’t remember my reg and you…

I didn’t remember my reg and you implied you’d find it but couldn’t progress untill I eventually found my registration! I also have an issue with the insurer not putting “ no blame “ on my claim as was committed by a hit and run driver! This error caused me to lose my no claims ! Impacted my next car!

So far they seem to be on the case for a claim I decided to go ahead with regarding my car write off following an accident. Two things I'm not that happy about is firstly they've hounded me for photo ID to give my previous car insurer I don't think this should be required considering this is a legal claim and I should not have to pass my driving licence or passport photo to them but once your 14 day cooling off period is over you're in the contract with these even though you can cancel it's a bit unclear if they will still charge you a fee & after reading a lot of Google reviews they seem to do this. Secondly they're fees for small claims is extremely high 36%! That's only upto £1500 compensation wins. Why is it so high for the lower end well they know they can get a lot more wins in this area of claims so they sting the poorer people but saying that I would not have thought about making this claim if I hadn't seen their advert so I have nothing to lose I just think they're greedy for what they actually have go do which is email insurers & file a few bits of paperwork!

Hi Adrian, thanks for your review of our service so far. Unfortunately, photo ID is sometimes requested by insurers to verify you before they investigate or disclose any information. Regarding our fees and our cancellation policy, we only charge a fee if your insurer makes a settlement offer. You can cancel your claim at any point without charge before this. Our fee banding is aligned with our regulator, the FCA's, fee cap for claims management companies, which came into force in March 2022. I hope that helps to clarify a few things for you, but please get in touch with us at helpdesk@allegiant-finance.co.uk if you have any other questions. Kind regards, Allegiant.
