I ordered a heel lift for my shoes and it was sent to the house quickly. When I tried it on I quickly noticed that the lift was too high. Fair enough since it was an online order and not a in house order. I called them up to trade out for a lower lift item and was told that since it was taken out of the box it cannot be traded in and I will have to keep a item that does not work for me. Online store that will not work with you about fit. I ended up paying $82 for the lifts for the shipping was ridiculous and I would have been happy if they would have only worked with me---I would not suggest this company to anybody after this.

Bought an AFO brace that broke in14 days
Bought an AFO brace for hundreds of dollars. The brace broke 14 days after receiving it. I called Customer Service, was on hold for a while, finally a recording came on saying to leave my phone number and someone will call me back. No one called. next day I looked up the email address to CS (not easy to find) no one answered my email. I tried calling again and stayed on hold this time. I was able to talk to someone and was told 'no problem' they emailed me the forms. Then I read that to return a product it has to be in the original unopened package and they don't cover any product that Alimed doesn't produce. Problem is THEY DON'T MAKE ANY PRODUCTS. Then I get an email asking for my CC# so they can send me a new one. I emailed back asking about their procedures. NO ANSWER.
Terrible company. Save yourself the aggravation and buy from someone else. :-(

Hideous communication and zero follow up. Good luck getting email order confirmations. When and if Alimed decides to email a confirmation, it's to an individual(s) in an organization that have NOTHING to do with the submitted purchase order. I've asked Alimed via phone call why they do this, and they state 'that's the email we have on file'. The confirmation email is always on the submitted PO to Alimed. BASIC BUSINESS PRACTICE. Is Alimed that lazy they can't confirm an order? I've left voice mails on product questions and there's NEVER been a call back. I've been a Buyer for large organizations for several years and whenever an Alimed order comes across my desk I'll actively seek alternate vendors and products so I do not have to deal with these morons. In the Buyer community meetings whenever Alimed is mentioned there’s either eyerolls and negative feedback. Never once has an Alimed sales rep called to introduce themselves with the last 2 large organizations I’ve worked for. It must be nice to sit back and collect a sales commission and do ZERO customer service

BUYER BEWARE. You best be sure about anything you order from these folks. There is a non-negotiable 20% restocking fee, regardless of whether you took it out of the plastic. Since there is no storefront, you can't try anything on. Nice way to take advantage of folks and make money when what you get does not deliver as expected. By the way, before I bought the product, I had two inquires into customer service and I never received a response. Should have known better then....

I am so disappointed
I am so disappointed! I purchased an Orthosis brace for my hyperextended knee and it broke! It took almost a month before I received another and it was the wrong size. Weeks later I did receive the right size and it broke again in the same place within a week or two. I am still waiting to hear from customer service and it’s been 2 months. I have had contact with Laurie, Elizabeth and Christopher they seemed to be working on the issue but to no avail and spent many hours on hold and hours with emails. I did like the brace the short time I had it (them)

I ordered on item over a year ago
I ordered on item over a year ago. Since then my credit card has been tested with small charges. I asked Alimed to close my account since I cannot remove the credit card info from my online account. Only got a canned email response and my account is still open.
6/13/2022 Trustpilot indicated that Alimed wanted more info, so I resent the emails from May requesting the account be closed and again requested the account be closed. No response from Alimed (as usual).

If I could give zero stars I would have. This company is TERRIBLE! I ordered ankle braces ($80 each) which were flimsy ace bandages with complicated straps that did nothing but squeeze my toes. I wanted to return them immediately, but I had to “request a return” first. A few days later I was granted a return number (about 10 digits long) along with absurd instructions. They never even tried to replace or remedy the situation. I paid $12 to return the garbage, plus $3 to make them sign for it because I don’t trust these people one bit. I have no doubt it will take months for them to refund my $160, if they do at all. I will cut my losses with Alimed, and never ever buy anything from them again!

AliMed's "Bait & Switch' SCAM! They advertised a Lift for $277.25 which weighs over 150# and charged $23.99 for Freight. I was sent a 1# Canvas Strap via UPS. I REFUSED delivery and UPS returned it to shipper and sent me the Proof of Delivery. I have filled out their Return Forms and called them repeatedly to no avail. They continually reply with Form Notices but won't refund my MasterCard charge. Cheating old handicapped Veterans' hoping they have memory problems is an example of their criminal Business Practices.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Ordered brace on Friday they never processed the order so over the weekend I canceled the order on the Internet and also called and canceled it on their phone line. They shipped it anyway so I would have to pay shipping and handling and a restock fee to return it. They are completely incompetent.
Terrible Customer Service
i ordered an Orthosis for my husband's paralyzed right hand in mid-April and received it on 4/27/21. The order was for a right-hand Orthosis and was one for a left hand.
I contacted customer service on 5/3 and was told my request for a return code would be submitted to the Return team. I never received the code and spoke to a member of the Return team on 5/17. She told me that the warehouse was investigating the problem and asked for 24 to 48 hours to resolve the problem.
Today, 5/21, I called again and was told the warehouse is still investigating.
Obviously, this is an absolute necessity for my husband.
Poor customer service, slow shipping.
First of all my order arrived about 10 days later than originally stated. I cut them some slack because of COVID and it's December. BUT, I orders the shoes based on their sizing info and the were too short for my feet. My toes hang off the end! I called customer service to see about an exchange. Apparently they were non-returnable, which I didn't notice when I ordered them. I would be ok with that policy even if I did't see the info when ordering because that was my mistake, but I feel since the sizing is off they could and should have helped me by exchanging them. If I had realized the sizing was off, I could have ordered the correct size. Now I am personally out the money I paid for them, since I have no insurance coverage for such things. Poor business practice on their part. I am disgusted by the whole experience. I will never order from them, and will share my experience with others when pertinent.
Very poor customer service
Ordered two thumb braces. The elastic started to separate after two wearings on one. Sent an email to customer service requesting a replacement. They replied they would send my claim to their “returns team”. It is now a month later and I’ve heard nothing even after several emails inquiring about status. Some of the worst customer service I’ve had. Will never purchase from here again. I expected a lot more for the price of the items.
Steer clear
I ordered a brace from them, at the checkout stage I entered my address and it stated free shipping, a day later I get a message saying it's not free shipping, it costs instead $96 !! for an item that weighs 1 KG.
Even after I agreed to pay it nobody is responding for more than a month. Now I need to open a claim with Visa for my money back
Buyer Beware! No Refunds!
I purchased an item that cost over $200 with shipping. When I received it I opened the package & tried it on over clothes. The item did not fit. I repackaged it in the original packaging with all instructions and returned it as instructed. I received an email that they could not issue a refund because I returned it opened. How is a person supposed to look at something or try it on without opening the package? Don't buy from this company. If you return the item after you have opened the product package you will not get a refund! They don't even offer an in-store credit! What a racket/scam!
Won't allow return.
Ordered left and right walker splint for family member. Alimed would NOT allow me to return the unused product - said the box had been opened. How are you supposed to check it without opening the box? Will never order from here again and urge others to reconsider.
