I am so grateful for this tutoring, Ying helped me to get the highest maths grades in gcse I couldn’t have done it without her support and help.

Jerry and Ying are fantastic teachers who bring out the best in their students. My daughter’s confidence in her ability to answer maths and science questions grew as well her understanding of the subjects. Jerry and Ying were excellent tutors for my daughter in preparation for the GCSEs. My daughter just finished her GCSE yesterday. Looking back, they were organised in their planning towards the exams. One stand out point was Jerry’s mock exam for science which he timed for the Easter break before the actual exam. He set 3 days apart for my daughter to come in and do it in exam settings. The timing of the exam was just right to spur my daughter to push herself for the actual exam. Jerry sat through the exam and provided valuable feedback. Over the past 2 years, he was really brought Science alive to her and would inspire her to learn and absorb the information in lively manner. She has really benefited from their coaching. Ying's methods for the Maths questions were simple and often she would monitor her working out and challenge her to think through her answers. We give 5 stars to this dynamic duo and thankful for their input.

We have just completed our time with Algebrains who supported our daughter through her GCSE Science journey. As was the case for many others, she faced a challenging time due to Covid disruption to her education. We were looking for expert support to help her get the best exam results she was capable of. Following a local recommendation we were delighted to find Jerry . He not only helped our daughter get fantastic GCSE results but most importantly helped her confidence and self belief to tackle areas she found difficult and go into the exams feeling totally prepared. Jerry was flexible to accommodate our tutoring requirements and it was evident that every session was well planned and prepared. After each session we received detailed feedback of what was covered and helpful information on how we could support her on that particular subject.

I struggled with chemistry throughout the first year of a levels, realising that i needed a bit more assistance after my first set of mocks in June, i found Ying. From the get go she was so eager to listen to every single topic i struggled with and we made a plan before my first session had even begun. As well as revising through and recapping certain topics i didn't understand Ying was able to teach me the remainder of the A level course in great detail in an interactive and memorable way. Ying has helped improve my confidence in chemistry and has helped me to boost my grades, providing me with an endless supply of revision resources and past papers. My grade in chemistry jumped from a low C to a high B, borderline A between my two sets of mocks. I am so appreciative of Ying and her tailored approach to my A level chemistry course, i cannot recommend her enough to anyone who is struggling or anyone who wants to get ontop of the content - amazing.

Ying is very passionate about Maths and nurtures a love of the subject to the children she teaches. She maintains a good pace in class and and takes a firm stand on homework, giving the children plenty to consolidate the work done in class. She also tests regularly to monitor progress. My daughter has progressed in leaps and bounds since starting at Algebrains, and learnt a huge amount in a short time. Thanks to Ying my year 4 daughter can comfortably do higher level Maths, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
