Had a car on Lease from them for 4 years - terrible. Would never go with them again. Trying to charge me a ridiculous amount to hand back the car - you complain and they just send a final complaint email saying 'no' and close your complaint. Take forever to come back to questions, can't get through to them on the phone. I also took them to the Ombudsman and won - they paid a fine (which I shouldn't have received in the first place) without even telling me and then sent me the bill with a huge admin fee on top. So took them to the Ombudsman and won - make sure you all do the same!
No service from ALD
I recently placed a review on here within the last couple of weeks re my VW Tiguan - reg no: MW74 LXH it strangely disappeared? I did receive a response from ALD saying someone would be in touch asap…. Well to date I have received no contact from anyone. I have a vehicle on lease from them which has had a technical fault from new ( 3 months old) VW refuse to deal with me as I am not the owner and ALD refuse to speak to me. I am considering taking this issue to Trading Standards as the goods were defective on delivery. This is truly awful customer service, phone calls not their “complaints” line are met
with “computer says no approach” and a strict “we only allocate your complaint to an agent at 8 weeks” - in the meantime I have to pay the lease on a defective vehicle!

Another 1 star review for ALD
Another 1 star review for ALD. Wish I had checked Trust Pilot before going with them. The government is increasing tax on EVs to £190. If you retax your vehicle before April 1st you get another year tax free EV driving.
But you can't do this if you are leased through ALD. They handle the taxes and have decided they won't bother doing this for their customers. It doesn't hit their bottom line so they are happy to pass the cost on to their customers.
How a company behaves tells you what their values are. And ALD clearly does not value its customers or have any concerns about wasting their money unnecessarily. The next car WILL NOT be leased through ALD.
The snippy arrogant tone of the customer service agent certainly didn't help either.
Incorrectly claimed I had not had the car serviced
Claimed I hadn’t had the car serviced at end of lease or updated BMWs online service. I had to sort this out after providing them with all the correct paperwork on the collection date.
Threatened to raise a fee invoice if no response in 72 hours.
Car had been serviced but I didn’t have copies as they had them and all the service history was on BMWs online database. The opposite of what they claimed.
They are either incompetant or too lazy to do their job correctly. A stressful experience.
Avoid them if I were you.

Poor customer service for Ford Lease
I would give this company 0 stars, but that is not an option, They are Ford lease, and we have had a problem with our vehicle for 10 months and we have waited 8 weeks for them to even look at the complaint. We are still having to pay. please stay away from leasing a Ford as when it goes wrong they take the money and then make you wait as they are to busy with complaints there advisor told us which says it all, in the meantime we have to carry on paying for a vehicle which is not fit for purpose, Sorry Ford like the vehicle but the lease company let you down massively.

Very poor customer service
After being a customer for 8 years with Kia Contract Hire , they charged me unnecessary fees when i handed the car back in pristine condition, with a pathetic jobsworth response. Then had the cheek to take a further payment even though i returned the car, and then took 6 weeks to refund it. Awful customer service… avoid them like the plague.

Harrassing company,for leasing payments I DO NOT OWE.
They Instructed a solicitor to attempt to reclaim without ANY evidence a so called unpaid debt,to which I dispute.They signed a contract in 2019 on a 3 year lease,they stopped payments of my direct debit without ANY consultation, unknown to me they now claim I asked for a payment holiday,to which they have no evidence whatsoever.18 months after they instructed solicitors,they bombard me with letters stating they are issuing legal procedures,nothing has happened until 7 months ago,I received a letter stating they are taking action,still no action,then last week received the same letter from a so called cowboy outfit Steven Drake solicitors stating I need to pay.They have not answered any emails for over 7 months.I informed them to take any action against me,as I WILL BE ATTENDING COURT AT YOUR COST as I did inform you 7 months ago.They are in breach of contract,and this Micky mouse solicitor keeps harassing us.As I reside mostly outside the UK,I asked to communicate via email only,but today I have received 7 letters forwarded from my UK address to my overseas address,all stating they are taking me to court,but nothing happens.Your a joke,and your solicitors are abusing it's code of conduct.

The communication with the bank was already slow and complicated, but the final bill I received was intolerable. They count every single scratch as "out of the ordinary" and charge the reduced value by counting up horrendous repair costs. And talking to my insurance, this is a pattern. DO NOT lease your car with this company, and if you have to do, book a legal insurance BEFORE you sign the contract.
