They take forever to accept receive money when you pay back an advance and it’s expensive they want to charge you $19.99 a month when you can use the Dave app for free

Saved my butt a bunch of times! Great app for last minute brokeness lol
It is nearly impossible to cancel my account. Every time I try, another payment goes into my savings.

You guys have been taking extra money from me and then lower my lending amount. Starting to think this is a scam and will close my account soon

I love this app but $14.99 instant transfer fee is really high. Please reduce this rate to make it fair for borrowers. Thank you!
I recommend the Albert because in case of any emergency, you can get quick funds without asking anyone for favors.
For my experience, this has helped me with groceries and paying utility bills.
So overall, for anyone that is short on cash I recommend this app, just use it wisely
Very helpful when I’m in a pinch or an emergency!
Albert has been so amazing with the 25$ when I have really needed it. And it has bump up my credit score tremendously just by paying that 25 back
I rarely write reviews, but after this experience I feel like I should share what happened so others understand what they may run into.
I have been using Albert since 2018. For years it was a simple savings tool that helped me set aside small amounts of money. I appreciated the concept and stuck with the app for a long time.
Recently, however, I noticed significant changes to the pricing and subscription structure, and it became unclear what I was actually paying for. When I tried to look into changing or canceling my plan, it was extremely difficult to find clear options inside the app.
After deciding to leave the platform, I tried to withdraw my savings and close my account. Getting my money out required multiple small transfers that had to process over time, which was stressful when you’re simply trying to close an account and move on.
Once my balance reached $0, I attempted to follow the instructions provided to deactivate the account. Unfortunately, the process requires entering the last four digits of an Albert Cash debit card. I never had an Albert Cash debit card, so there was literally no way for me to complete the closure process myself.
I emailed support multiple times explaining this. Each time I received automated responses directing me to AI chat or links that didn’t address the issue. I repeatedly had to explain the same situation: I had no debit card, the app required one to close the account, and I simply wanted the account deactivated.
Eventually the account was closed on their end, but only after multiple emails, screenshots, and repeated explanations. The entire process felt unnecessarily complicated and very difficult for something that should be straightforward.
What frustrated me most was the constant push toward automated or AI support, instead of being able to quickly reach a real person who could resolve the issue. As a customer who had been using the service for 7+ years, the experience was disappointing.
To be clear, my funds were eventually transferred and the account was closed. However, the process of canceling and closing an account should not be this difficult, especially for long-time users.
I almost never leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share this experience for anyone considering using the app.
